These shirts are of great quality and value. They are thick but not so thick and you can't wear them in the summer months. I am a woman and I like to wear these shirts by themselves in the summer months because it's very hot out and I just want to wear something that is a little loose and comfortable if it's going to be this hot outside. They are not see through at all and are completely comfortable. I highly recommend these shirts to anyone who wants a decent white shirt that is going to hold up in the washing machine and with repeated use.

The shirt fit perfectly. Only it trigged my allergies something fierce. I thought I had a summer cold or something, but my symptons coincided with wearing the shirts. Even gave them several washes, waited a week for symptoms to clear up before trying again to test. And my symptons flared up again, so I trashed the lot. It closed up my nose so much I couldn't breathe, couldn't sleep, and I only got better once I got rid of the shirts. Hopefully I was just an isolated incident, I'd hate for anyone else to suffer as I have.

Ihave a hard time sleeping in night gowns that have anything other than pure or 100% cotton. Many years ago, when I was younger, I got the idea of buying mens undershirts from the Big and TAll department. Wore for years, then the stores did away with the BG areas and they were hard to find in v-neck. I found these and ordered them to try. I LOVE THEM! They are perfect. I order them HUGE...4x. v-neck. They fall to my knees just slike a nightgown. Large in the arms for comfort. I do not bother with taking them in a tad with stitching, I leave them huge. So incredibly soft. So thick you cannot see throught them, but wre not heave and cumbersome.. I am definitely ordering more. I would love it if I can find the same in long sleeve for winter. Will search it out.

I wanted some undershirts for summer wear around the house. Regular t-shirts are thicker and considerably warmer; undershirts, thinner and cooler. I'd ordered some Hanes 3XL but they weren't as large as I'd hoped. There's been size shrinkage for some time (just experienced it again with Lee Dungarees - a 40 is now a 36/38).So I looked around and found Big Tall Men's undershirts. Yep, they're big. I over-ordered: he 4XL was a little like a tent. But I got what I wanted. Well, a bit more but that's OK. They haven't shrunk appreciably. The fabric is pleasantly soft; in that respect they're better than the Hanes that lost their softness after a couple of washings. But really, one can't expect a lot for $10 for a 3-pack, eh?Next time I'd go for a 3XL but in no way am I ... MoreI wanted some undershirts for summer wear around the house. What a unique experience.
I read the reviews and thought I would give them a shot. I mean how can you go wrong for the price? I ordered 2 - 3 packs. Big mistake. They are too short and quite thin. I dried two of them in the dryer on low, they are now unwearable. I hang dry the others now but two of them the hems have come undone so the bottom is a frayed mess and looks the part. The claim the collar retains it's shape after wash is slightly comical. Dry the shirt, collar looks nice but shirt too short to wear. Don't dry the shirt and looks like you slept in it. Either way is a no win situation and the material is much to thin anyways. Pay the money, get the Jockey Stay New. Much longer fit, don't shrink in the dryer, and retain their shape. Extremely disappointed. I have bought FOTL t shirts for years and NEVER had a problem until today. When I opened the package which Fed Ex tossed in my yard, I noticed what appeared to be a spot on one of the shirts. It was a hole. The package was fully intact so I checked the other shirts. Another one has a 3/4 inch snag in the fabric. I am assuming this package of shirts is defective due to dry rotting and or production machine issues. When I filled out the return info it says this is from a third party seller. When I purchased it online it said fulfilled by walmart. Now I have to waste ink printing out a return slip and gas returning it to the store and will have to wait until the third party receives it to get a refund. Don't waste your money. I got this set for my mom and the same ones in a larger size for me. Hers arrived first and they looked huge, but once they were washed they shank to the expected size so don't be surprised if they look too big at first. After the wash they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable and have real sleeves unlike women's clothes so we will be getting these again when we need them. The material is comfortable, soft, and the right thickness.
Very disappointing. I usually by Hanes which is excellent quality but they only had a pack with grey and bkack. so figured I'd try these. How could you go wrong? Big mistake! They are cheaply made. Very thin and cut is off by sleeves. They shrunk and and I noticed little holes on back after first wash. Not sure if the hokes were there originally. They are cut terribly by sleeve/underarm. Very uncomfortable. Going in the garbage where they belong. I'm out $22. Will never wate my money on Fruit of the Loom again.
I'm writing this review for me and my twin brother Cody. Being 29 years old, I am a high school coach while Cody is a general contractor. As brothers we are very close, work in the same town, and share a house; and our jobs require us to move around a lot during the day, so wearing the right underwear is very important to us. As kids our mom bought our underpants for us, which meant plain white cotton Fruit of the Loom briefs. During school we both rocked the same FOTL tighty whities and kept wearing them even through high schoolcollege when other boys were switching to boxersboxer briefs. To this day, neither of us owns a single pair of boxersboxer briefs and we both agree that classic white cotton FOTL are the BEST underwear. To this day, neither of us owns a single pair of boxersboxer briefs and we both agree that classic white cotton FOTL are the BEST underwear. Simply put, Cody and I are both die-hard wearers of tighty whities and NOTHING else : Since we live together we also like to save timewatermoney by washingdrying our laundry together. We are also identical twins that wear the exact same size so it's VERY common for us to end up wearing each other's tighty whities. Depending on who gets home first, one of us will gather the clothes including dirtysweaty white briefs from our shared hamper and do a load of laundry. The advantage to it is that we both know when we need new underwear, so when that happens, one or both of us goes and buys 3-4 new packs of plain FOTL tighty whities. If one of us boys were to bring home anything other than white FOTL briefs, you can bet that the other would be pretty upset. Recently when we both needed new briefs, I wasn't able to find our regular FOTL tighty whities (with the dark blue waistband logo) and had to settle for these FOTL Premium briefs...which Cody and I agree are SO much better than our regular FOTL briefs. They are softer all around, fit better, and are much more supportive of our crotches and bottoms. We definitely plan to buy more in the future when replacing our older pairs of FOTL tighty whities and encourage other guys to do the same!
The laundry directions said no chlorine bleach and no fabric softener. I understood the bleach because I have seen bleach weaken fabrics. But the fabric softener surprised me. If there is anything you would want to be soft, wouldn't it be whatever is next to your skin?Although I could have asked Fruit of the Loom, I did not. Instead, I did some searching. I found out that fabric softener works by coating fibers with an oily, waxy substance. And this kind of substance interferes with the wicking of cotton fabrics. So, I think that is why Fruit of the Loom says no fabric softener.I found out that I can get wool or plastic dryer balls for softening. And if I want the clean smell of fabric softener, I can get the scent without the fabric softener. So, I did both ... MoreThe laundry directions said no chlorine bleach and no fabric softener. I found that the Fruit of the Loom items are soft enough without fabric softeners and without dryer balls. I like it a little softer, so I use two wool balls and two plastic balls. I add a few drops of lavender scent to the wool balls. I'm happy with the result. And the items have been keeping me dry and comfortable. If you are allergic to the scents or wool, then, of course, you will not use these. But you can still use the plastic dryer balls if you want a little softer.
