I was apprehensive about buying this product after reading hundreds the reviews. The reviews were all mixed, and some reviewer‘s complained about blank/dark pictures. I bought it anyway. I opened it today and it took me no more than five minutes between opening the package and taking my first photo – the user interface is very easy. I installed the film with one click and got to work. The first picture was blank and dark, but from that point on, the pictures are beautiful. Note that the pictures appear on the white side and not on the black side of the film. Do not flap around the picture to help it develop, and do not expose it directly to the sun either. I think you get a lot of items in the package. The carrying case is a great addition to the package because otherwise, you could easily damage the camera. The stickers to enhance the photos are super cute, the album is actually pretty handy, and the little clip to attach the camera for close-ups is a nifty little object.

I must admit, my excitement quickly turned into frustration. For the price I paid, I expected a lot more than what I got. The overall quality of the camera feels flimsy and doesn't justify the cost. Not only that, but the photos produced were often blurry and lacked the sharpness I was hoping for. The whole process of loading the film and waiting for the picture to develop felt like more of a hassle than it was worth. Given the numerous alternatives available nowadays, I can't help but feel that this product just doesn't measure up, especially when considering its price.

Best purchase of the year

I bought this as a Christmas gift for myself as I've had my instax mini 8 for over a decade already. Hands down the best purchase ever. The design is smooth and easier to grasp, the built in selfie mirror makes it so much easier to take quick selfies withought the need to attach and detach the accessory. I love the fact that it brings 2 different straps so I can choose how I want to carry it. The album is great for keeping the pictures safe and in one place, the matching design with the camera sticker is really cute too. All of that plus 2 stands and a film pack is a steal. Would definitely recommend.

Good value camera set

A good gift. The stick-on parts are a bit of a gimmick, and the photo packs that come with each of these sets are probably the novelty versions that haven't sold well - I'd much rather a plain pack - but otherwise it's a good set offering good value. We haven't achieved a photo quality anything like the examples shown, but we've only taken a couple of photos so maybe we'll get better with practice.Otherwise, it's nice to be able to take photos that print straight away rather than just getting stored and lost on your phone. We'll take photos for the kids and put them in their lunch boxes to surprise them, and made a Christmas decoration out of our first photo.

Great Gift!

I bought this for my daughter as a Christmas gift. It was on her “must have” list. It’s a great little camera, and works really well. We only had one issue where the power light would flash, and it would not produce a photo. It ended up being the batteries. The batteries that came with the camera were no longer functional. Ever since we put in fresh batteries, there have been no issues. The accessories are really cute too. She loves her gift.

Cheapest price online during the Black Friday sales, beating all competitors - some by at least $50. Easy transaction to complete and easy to click and collect. All in all hassle free.The camera itself is for a Christmas present and untested to date. It seems to be the go to gadget of choice for kids aged 9-16 and there has been a lot of demand. The film obviously costs more than digital printing, but that's not the point of a camera like this. It's instant and fun -hence why these have made a resurgence in popularity.

I bought this for nostalgia. I had an iZone camera when I was in primary school, which was kind of the same idea: mini instant photos. I loved that thing! I’m only on my second film pack, but I’m still trying to decide if I like it. The pictures come out quite blurry unless I use the selfie/portrait setting and make sure everything is up close. The flash flashes every time, it doesn’t seem to matter how bright it is. I haven’t tried it outdoors yet, so I guess this isn’t a completely fair review, but so far this camera is really just of nostalgic value. I’ll keep using it for selfies and portraits, but I have a feeling this is one that will sit on a shelf once the novelty wears off. It’s a bit pricey for what you get.

Perfect Present

Simple, easy to use, child friendly camera.We purchased this for our creative daughters 8yr old birthday.She has had hours of fun with it, snapping all her favorite people.The mirror display that allows for selfie photos is quite ingenious.Each morning she flips the photo storage book stand to display a new picture, keeping her desk fresh & functional.Highly recommend this for any creative individual wanting a more tangible photographic experience, to use in their next scrapbook.- I only wish this had a zoom/focus option for the lens, but as an entry level item, it can’t have all the bells & whistles.

The Camera is Okay, the Gift Set is Kind of Blah

This gift set was a little underwhelming, unfortunately. The stickers to decorate the camera are poorly designed and not made to be placed on curved surfaces at all (the entire camera is rounded). The picture holders are very lightweight and fall over super easily. The camera itself is fine, although it doesn't open its shutter consistently and takes a few tries sometimes. It wasn't a horrible purchase, but left much to be desired.

WARNING Polaroid Camera set Doesn’t Work!Stay Away

Purchased this set as a gift at Thanksgiving and gave it as a Christmas present. Opened on Christmas Day and did not work straight out of the box! Reviewed online suggestions to troubleshoot. The batteries in box were dead. Why? It’s suppose to be a new product. Put in new batteries and now at least the light turned on but it was blinking. As per Polaroid website that means that the camera is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. Not replace batteries the camera. We tried switching batteries again just to hopefully get it working and still had blinking light meaning malfunction. So, so disappointing for a child to receive what she really wanted for Christmas and couldn’t take any pictures on Christmas Day due to a product that was sold as new. Not worth having a heartbroken child who cannot use a gift.
