The Fujifilm LH-XF35-2 lens hood is the proper finial for both the Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2.0 and Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2.0 lenses. Five stars THOUGH there is a bit of plastic lining the interior lumen of the hood where it mounts. Probably a good idea if one thinks about it a bit. The only real downside is the price. It?s too high, but you know that already and you like I, bought it anyway. It does look great on the lens. BTW, the subdued 23mm lens hood, original with the lens, isn't bad at all and well made. A center pinch lens cap works well with the metal hood. Enjoy!

I bought this because the stock hood did not allow for me to use my B+W circular polarizing filter, which is kind of thick. With this hood, it fits just fine. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 has nothing to do with its quality - the quality is 5 stars. My issue is that this overpriced lens hood should come stock with the lenses it fits, even if that takes the lens price up a bit. The stock hood is basically useless - only the slimmest filters fit, it's plastic, it offers very little protection, and it doesn't seem to provide much flare protection. Why does Fuji even bother with it? This hood should come standard.

Pros: Looks good, stays on (unlike the free screw on one). Doesn't block the viewfinder.Cons: Monstrously overpriced. If you can wait a few months for the Chinese knock-offs (probably from the same factory) to start appearing then you probably should. (I could not and love what Fuji are doing so prepared to pay the hideous premium.)

Fuji provides 2 choices of lens hood for the 35mm f/2. A screw in hood and this hood, a bayonet hood. Of the two, I recommend this one, the bayonet. This hood allows the use of the standard lens cap. According to the Fuji web site, this hood is also the hood for the new 23mm f/2. So, for the money, this hood can do double duty. Unlike the screw-on hood, this hood can be stored, inverted, attached to the lens.
I got my first order and tried it on my XF 23mm. The hood had a noticeable slight wiggle when I moved my camera. The small stock lens hood has the perfect fit. B&H promptly exchanged it, and I'm grateful for B&H's service. The new hood fits better, but it still had a tiny clearance which I'm fine with. Thanks B&H!
I purchased this together with my lens and am happy that I did. The supplied lens is absolute rubbish. This metal hood is overpriced, but far superior. Plus it can also be used with the 35mm f2.0. Highly recommended.
This fits both the 23mm f/2.0 and the 35mm f/2.0 lens. i bought this to help protect my lens. I have stopped using a filter after watching several Youtube videos about a filter being protection. Some say it is, many say that a good lens hood is better protection plus you get the full advantage of the wonderful lens that the hood is placed on. I had to wait for this to be back in stock at B&H but it was well worth the wait. Once it was back in stock, 3 days later it was on the end of my lens.
I bought this to replace the plastic hood on an XF 35mm F2. The plastic hood had to screw into the filter threads, which I wasn’t crazy about. There was also a “cool” factor about the vented hood. The one thing keeping it from 5 stars is the fact that there is a slight amount of play in the connection- not so much that it rattles when carrying or interferes with shooting, but enough that you notice when holding it during shooting. Totally worth it still.
While I thought the hood that came with the XF23mm F/2 lens was fine, this one is definitely superior in look and feel. The larger hood provides a much better placement of my left hand when operating the aperture ring and the manual focus ring. Also, it looks much more proportional to the X-T2 body than the tiny hood. I'm happy with the product. However, the rather high price doesn't justify 5 stars.
While I love the 35mm f2 WR and its 23mm brother, they both looked a little odd with the tapered profile, like something was missing. The plastic lens hood that was included with the lens is fine, but feels cheap and doesn't match the build quality of the lens. Once I attached this lens hood to them, they feel complete. I love the classic range-finder aesthetic, oh, and I supposed they do a better job with reducing glare and protecting the lens from drops but let's be honest, its all about looks. Quality of construction is top notch (I love that they are metal not plastic) and they clip onto the lens very securely. I was a bit put off by the $50 price tag, but now that I own them its totally worth it. Like other reviewers had mentioned: this is the hood that should ... MoreWhile I love the 35mm f2 WR and its 23mm brother, they both looked a little odd with the tapered profile, like something was missing.
