This battery grip for the Fuji X-T4 is a necessity. It helps in a number of ways including: 1) better grip and balance for large lenses (think 50-140 or 100-400) 2) Easier portrait photography with an extra shutter button 3) Power-pack for holding two batteries (three with in camera).I like that you can keep the camera empty of its battery, and use the grip with one or two batteries. With the new batteries of the X-T4, you can go all day shooting without having to change out batteries. If you need to change batteries, it's easy and quick. It's a great investment and with the mirrorless camera being pretty small (coming from a pro DSLR) it adds much utility. I highly recommend this accessory X-T4 battery grip!

Great accessory to help with my grip on my X-T4. I have medium sized hands and I had a weird time gripping it. I am very used to the grip on my Sony A7III and Canon DSLR, so having this has helped tremendously. Also, great to add more weight when trying to get stable handheld videos. Highly recommend.

The X-T4 grip is fantastic. It holds two of Fuji's new NP-W235 batteries (not included) which will allow you to shoot basically all day. It also provides a headphone jack for audio monitoring. Ergonomically, this grip feels great in the hand, and makes the camera larger than previous X-T models, but smaller than the X-H1, so just about the perfect size. Buttons and dials are clicky and tactile, but feel premium like the X-H1's.My only complaint is the price. $329 USD seems pretty steep for a battery grip, but what are you going to do.
With this battery grip, you have three batteries (including one in the camera) to power the X-T4 for a loonnng time. It does add a good bit of weight to the camera, but if you need the extended power, you need it. Further, the X-T4 drains power from one battery in the grip first, then the other grip battery and the battery in the camera last. So, if you need to disconnect the grip to go lighter later in the day, then you still have a fully charged battery in the camera.
I really like this grip and think it's worth the price. It allows for 2 additional batteries for the xt-4. Additionally, there's an economy mode which is pretty cool. Overall, I would recommend this grip.
Nice grip, but there are no batteries this time. Given that these are crazy expensive batteries not including them is a large additional expense. Even more of an issue is the lack of a charging cable. The grip for the XT-3 had a cable to charge it with. This grip not only does not have the cable, but the 'manual' does not specify what cable to use and Fuji's website doesn't either. This is a big pain in the butt and really changes the value for price on this grip.
Useful for extra battery power when doing long shoots. Feels great in the hand and well balanced when shooting vertical. This is not a necessary accessory since the new battery lasts longer than previous batteries for X-T cameras. The opening clip on the battery compartment doesn't have the spring clip as on X-T2 and X-T3 and I wish it did but it still locks in place.

I certainly wouldn't have paid full price for a battery holder that doesn't even include batteries.I'm guessing that Fuji doesn't speak with news guys because the ergonomics of this grip are a partial fail. In the vertical position the hand fits beautifully on the grip but the horizontal ergonomics are just awful. My trigger finger has to fight with the camera strap to find the trigger button. Fuji would have been better off adding a trigger on the top of the vertical part (which should be a bit bigger) of the battery grip. That's where my finger wants to go. I can't stress enough how stupid the horizontal ergonomics are. The moment you ... This battery grip has a few advantages: a) adds 200% more power (XT-4 goes from one battery to three batteries, b) allows all three batteries to be charged simultaneously with USB-C cable plugged into XT-4 camera, c) and allows for more comfortable grip when using portrait mode. However, since the XT-4 battery has significantly more power than the XT-1/2/3 battery, (1200mA-hr versus 2200mA-hr) you may not need a grip. However, I would always purchase a second battery for any of my cameras.Once you purchase a grip, you must add 2 more batteries (grip $330, batteries $70 adds to $470 without shipping and tax) to make it work.
