The Fujifilm X-M5 Silver + XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ is a complete set for photographers and videographers. You receive a versatile 15-45mm zoom lens to take landscape photos and architecture photos, for example. That's useful if you want to take it with you on your travels. The Fujifilm X-M5 is a compact mirrorless camera. It only weight 355g, so you can take it with you without problems. For example, you can capture a faraway trip. Thanks to the 26.1-megapixel APS-C image sensor, your photos look sharp and they have a lot of details. If you prefer to record videos, you can record those in 6.2K resolution. This footage is suitable for social media, for example. For a retro effect, you can use one of the Film Simulations. With these filters, it seems like you captured your images on an old-fashioned film roll.

For customers looking for something more capable than a smartphone or older camera the x-m5 is the perfect upgrade. While it may lack an evf, those coming from smartphones that are primarily using the camera for content creation likely won't miss it. Overall a great bang for your buck, hybrid capable camera.

Knew I wanted this camera as soon as it was "announced" on Fuji Rumors, ordered it the second sales went live, arrived a few weeks later. Could not be more happy!I have had an X-M1 for a couple months and I love that camera, but the X-M5 is definitely an upgrade. There are subtle tweaks to the controls that make for much better handling. One big difference was the top right dial. On the M1 (and the M5) it defaults to shutter speed, but on the M1 it is a much more satisfying, tactile "click" when turning. On the M5, I set that dial up to adjust ISO and I use the new-to-the-M5 front dial for shutter. So, despite the film sim dial (which I also surprisingly like albeit don't use much), I have manual controls for shutter, aperature, and ISO. Another bonus is that my 16mm 2.8, a lens I love to shoot with but hate the way it looks, somehow looks great on the M5. I think it has something to do with the very subtle curves of the M5 vs the M1.Highly recommend!

Love the X-M5
6 December 2024

I love this camera. It is small and that is what I want in place of my full frame Canon with heavy fat L lenses. I needed a smaller camera to frequently take so the wife isn't sick of my photo taking. I do miss the viewfinder but I am getting used to it. Takes great photos so far. This is my first Fuji so I am still learning the different simulated film modes but I like it. Since this is my casual, travel camera, I also paired it with a Sigma 17-300 zoom with a hand strap. I wish they could have shipped the black one first?so I got a black wrap from aliexpress to change the look a bit but the silver was okay too. The camera takes some some very sharp photos. As for Adorama- I was on the waiting list for a couple of months and I wish I would have been able to see a faster ship option. Once I finally saw it processing, a faster ship option was preferred.

Love the camera and lens combo, the definition of the pictures is incredible and the film simulation wheel easily accessible and useful. The video is clear and the exposure compensation very useful for night shooting.

[Rewarded Review] A Solid-Small Camera
4 December 2024

I have only had it 3 weeks - but have some opinions. This is my 3rd small Fuji - all functioned well for me. The X-M5 is a solid build camera - the 15-45 kit lens is also solid and goes with the camera well. It is limited, but small and functional once you get used to the electric zooming. Images are sharp and clear at all focal lengths and apertures considering that this is an non-pro lens. The camera fits in my hands well - it's small compared to my X-Pro3 - but I really like it. Some issues: as with previous Fuji I have problems with the focus stick. I'm a spot shooter - so why does a tap or sometimes nothing change the placement of the focus spot. The other is the front command dial - if it is bumped it triggers a set-up which has to be dealt with. It's a small ... MoreI have only had it 3 weeks - but have some opinions. The other is the front command dial - if it is bumped it triggers a set-up which has to be dealt with. It's a small camera, easy to bump. It could use a second Q dial - especially one that would control ISO as I often change the ISO and have to go to the menu for this.I have used my other Fuji lenses with the camera - including my primes with f-stop control and the larger zooms. Other than the issues listed above, I really like the feel and operation of the camera. A nice monitor/viewfinder, more menu options than I will ever use. A great traveling camera - a great street photography camera.

[Rewarded Review] A great alternative to the Fuji x100v
4 December 2024

I've previously owned an x100v, sold it and upgraded to the x100vi. I saw that this was released and thought it would be a great gift for someone that is looking to have an entry into the photography world. I strongly suggest this as an entry level camera, like a gateway drug. haha...The combination of it being smaller physically than the x100v/vi along with the interchangeable lens makes this a complete package. The film recipe dial a long with the custom settings dial makes this extremely easy to switch within the many film recipes on the fly. I added the thumb grip for an easier one hand hold due to the size of this camera already being small. I tested this camera for a week, added some custom recipes and accessories and gifted away to a friend. To compare, this ... MoreI've previously owned an x100v, sold it and upgraded to the x100vi. [Rewarded Review] Just what I wanted - xM5
5 December 2024

Was honestly sold on this camera from the outset. It's a beautiful piece of gear & is my 3rd Fuji camera. The SIMs wheel is wonderful for quick changes of color/ style. No weather-sealing or ibis but frankly I don't care. It's natural, intuitive, quick & makes me WANT to shoot. While some say it is more video oriented I use it as a photography tool. Paired with any number of lenses, it's a joy to use.
