I did my research as I wanted to surprise my hard working husband with the best set of binoculars for the money I was willing to spend so he would enjoy our next cruise in 2021. I checked out 5 other sites before I found bhphoto website. The price was comparable but it also came with a neck strap. The website was very easy for me to navigate and ordering was very simple.My order was delivered on the day I was told that it would: November 27th. That was very important as it was my birthday and it was my wish to make my husband happy as he does so much for me.It was a success and he was very surprised to have a package that I wanted him to open. His smile was the perfect ending to my birthday.

I bought these binoculars to use for research and education on boats and shore based observation points with regards to marine mammals and they have been amazing. Having the compass has proven extremely valuable when communicating with co-workers where animals are. I highly recommend these binoculars to anyone who needs something light to use out on the water, or anywhere for that matter. Using the included floating strap also gives me peace of mind when using the binoculars.

Just got these binoculars and loved them straight away, they felt great to hold, sleek construction with nice weight and quality feel about them. They are very easy to focus, even my wife who wears glasses found them easy to focus. I was a bit unsure about the individual focusing lense but once you have them focused you don't really have to touch them again unless you want to close right in on something a few feet away. They felt sturdy and the lense caps aren't going to get lost in a hurry as they are firmly attached by the frame or by the yellow flotation neck strap. At this price range, these are exceptional optics and can be used for a variety of purposes including astronomy as well as nautical uses and even bird watching if the birds are not within 50 feet. Binoculars themselves are very good. Use them on the Chesapeake bay to spot birds (?and the fish the birds point out). Durable, bright and great optics.Reducing one star because the pair I got has dirt or dust INSIDE the optics somewhere that shows up as a small black spot. It?s not on the outside. Annoying but does not detract from the functionality.
Have had several different brands of binoculars over the years, these are my second pair of poliaris fujinon they are simply the finest marine binocular out there, incredible night vision, tough, and completely waterproof. What sold me on my first pair was I was at a boat show for commerical fisherman in the 70s and I walked by a stand where they were selling binoculars, they had a pair of rubber coated binoculars in a bucket on water, so I took them out and looked through them, impressive I thought so I said to the salesman nice but are they tough? He then dropped them about 4 feet onto the cement floor.. That was my first pair, still have them rubber, has rotted off, but they still have a good picture. Love my new pair.
Excellent marine binoculars. Bright and clear, fairly wide field of view. The compass is a very useful option. I tried the range finder but difficult to get a measure of a distant landmark while underway.I wish these came with a case. I have not found a good third party case these fit well.
The images are clear and sharp and the binoculars are value for money. Minor problems are that there is no clear instruction as to the scale and compass bearing gauge. There is no information as to what would happen when you pressed the dim light button. I figured that when nothing happened the batteries were flat. The batteries supplied were indeed flat and of a size not readily available here. After much searching the right batteries were obtained and fitted. Pressing the low light button then illuminates the readout in red. Have not used these for sailing yet, so cannot make a judgement as to fit for purpose

I needed a pair of Binoculars with both reticle and compass.My initial purchase was defective upon receipt and returned for a faulty compass. I was swiftly sent a new replacement. Upon initial use, I found these binoculars to be very light and extremely comfortable to hold especially when used for long periods of time. The lens quality was good but not as crisp as my old binoculars. Then after 2 years, not only did the compass suddenly became uncalibrated , but button illuminating the compass stopped working. At first I thought the later was due to old batteries. However new batteries did not solve the ... Midsized easy fit in your hands, perfect for an entry level binoculars. Eyepiece adjustment (if you need) is easy to make. And the illuminated compass (on demand) is most welcome for nighttime sighting. With the included floating neck strap this Binocular is one of the best "Bang for the Buck" entry level models on the market!
