I love it and I wear it everyday to my rough and tumble work. I bought this to replace a similar DW5600 that had an inverted display I couldn't read well. Both watched have and will be bashed into things, submerged in dirty water and thrown into the wash accidentally and both stll work and I expect them to do so for a few good years to come.

The display is not one of those almost unreadable negative displays that seem to dominate the digital watch world these days, which is good. Solar is a plus too - that is, when a battery is replaced on a standard quartz G-Shock, you're reliant on the jeweller to retain the waterproofing that comes will all G-Shocks, and there's only really one way to do that! Otherwise, it's a bog standard G-Shock with the various positive attributes that make G-Shocks worth purchasing for everyday use or more challenging conditions.

Very happy with this as an upgrade from a DW5600-MS. I was unhappy with my previous watch's negative LCD display as it's difficult to read in anything but perfect lighting conditions. The addition of solar with the new watch is great too as I was sick of installing new batteries (if you want a pressure tested battery install it's $70...).
Bought this watch as a Xmas present for my wife. She absolutely loves it. It's sold as a men's watch, but it's more unisex in my opinion. The watch is very legible, comfortable on the wrist, and perfect for all occasions except dress/formal. The best thing about this watch is that you don't to worry about battery change which can compromise the water seal. Very positive buying experience from Watch Direct. Delivery was quick with shipment tracking all the way.
Easily the best entry-level square G-Shock you can buy. No Multi-Band 6, however, this is not an important feature in Australia. Tonnes of useful functions, incredibly legible, robust, yet light & comfortable on wrist. Solar-powered is a huge plus - you never have to change the battery and compromise the watch's water resistance.
With the new module allowing us to change the month and day around, finally. It just makes this the perfect watch. I’ve owned many G’s. Mudmasters and more. This is basically the best. Everything else is a gimmick. There’s no fashion status here, no flex culture BS, no added useless features that mostly don’t work (I’m looking at you Mudmaster). Everything on this watch is perfect. So when my customers come in getting their Longines serviced, they question me wearing this. I tell them it is the most iconic and useful watch ever made. I bet on it. You won’t find a better watch with this many features that’s attainable by most folks.
