This is my first G Shock watch, and I am very glad I purchased it. The functions with one exception work very well and are useful to me on a daily basis. I also appreciate that it is simply different than the “smart” watches so many are wearing as well as the Rolexes etc. A quick heads up on the things I don’t like so buyers aren’t surprised - the backlight combined with the background bird make it nearly impossible to actually read the time in the dark, the bird blots out too much of the time. Easy workaround - don’t wear this one at night. The band is borderline uncomfortable for me, perhaps this would be true of any similar resin band. But I assume it can be replaced with something that conforms to a wrist shape without much effort.

I like the watch overall. It is comfortable to wear. The screen is easy to read in daylight but the “light” button takes a bit of getting used to if it’s dark. The two best features is the solar recharge and the phone link to set the time. Most of the time I let the watch do its automatic time set thing at about 12:30am. When I travel and change time zones, all I have to do is reconnect the phone/watch to easily set the correct time. I love that! Its price was the upper end that I wanted to pay but overall I’m happy with the watch.

This is the first wrist watch I have bought in over 15 years. I wanted to start wearing a watch again, and decided I would start with something I would use for work everyday. I knew I wanted something rugged so a Casio G-Shock was a must. I had been out of the game so long, that I had no idea I was getting the bonus of Bluetooth connectivity with this GWB5600CD1A2. It makes changing options so easy from my phone. The Charles Darwin collaboration is something that gave it a little extra flair that I liked. The tough solar recharging has been excellent. I have owned this watch since the beginning of 2024, and I have been very happy with it. A pleasure to use and wear as an everyday work watch.
More dark green than you would expect from the pictures. I wanted to use it as an every day watch but the dark green is distinct in a way I personally don't like. I haven't been wearing it. Less legible and more dark than you would think. I bought it to replace my old square with a standard display and I'll probably end up just buying another with a standard display. Perfect except for the tint on the face. Wish I could get the exact same one with no tint.
This watch was exactly how it's marketed. Excellent performance, as expected from G-Shock/Casio team. The watch is mainly used as a performance watch and it holds up cery well, especially in water.I definitely recommend these brand!
Everytime I order from the gshock site I get nonstop errors at checkout, no matter what browser I use. Last transaction took literally all day and night trying to get it completed, Casio customer service is non existent. However the watch is awesome. FIX YOUR SITE!!
As the title entails , I had apprehension at first but almost immediately this watch grew on me. Wear it everyday trust it keeps excellent time and I love seeing the hammerhead every time the face lights. And in some small way helping the species on the Galapagos! Thanks for making a great product!
I like the design, it has a positive display (the negative GW-B5600 is hard to read), and it has updated features like Bluetooth, so all time zones on the watch adjust for daylight saving time, even the ones on the southern hemisphere. Downsides: the alarm beep is pretty much inaudible in a busy office environment. The straps could stand improvement, FKM rubber would be nice.
Love this watch and it is quickly becoming my go-to favorite. The dial is just beyond cool and isn't overdone with text on top of the graphic, which is nice. Also love that there aren't fixed boxes to denote charge level and alarm setting. Makes for a cleaner display.
