G Shock Mens Watch Black

Great watchI was so happy to get one again after buying this specific model as it was the first proper watch I bought myself back in the 90's. It is a legitimate product shipped withrelative Warranty cards etc. I decided not to pay extra to have original box shipped. It took so long to get to me, about 7 weeks, but I ordered in early December so that is likely just the time of year. Will happily us this site againhave recommended it to friends.

5 years of abuse

I bought this watch 5 years ago when I was in need of a cheap watch for my job as an industrial painter. For $32.75 I wasn’t expecting much. Now it turns out it was a pretty good deal. In 5 years this poor watch has not only been subjected to dangerous chemicals in my job as a painter, but also to gasoline, motor oil, hydraulic fluid, antifreeze, battery acid, been subjected to electric shock, both ends of the thermometer with extreme temperatures, welding, and just about any other abuse a factory worker/ car mechanic can throw at it. It is by far the most comfortable watch to wear on the wrist I’ve ever owned- and I’ve owned several. It still sports the original battery as well as burn marks from the paint chemicals I used to deal with. The wrist band is finally starting to crack in between the holes but when it goes it will be replaced with another g-shock. If you need an insanely durable watch and don’t have much coin to throw at it. This is your watch.

8 Years and Still Perfect

I give a little extra weight to long-ownership reviews of products so thought I would give my two cents here. Bought this watch over eight years ago as an honest-to-God impulse buy at my local Walmart. In the last eight years, I've subjected this watch to a very tough torture test. Heavy, day in and day out submersion into ocean water as a worked as a beach lifeguard in college, skydiving multiple times, several week-long hiking trips, extensive rock climbing, sub-zero conditions... I mean I could go on and on. This watch has been on my wrist in so many extreme conditions.. The fact it not only still works (with original battery), but has kept its look over this time surprises me. Not all well-made watches are hundreds of dollars. Just recently the movable overstrap that keeps the excess strap in place is starting to slowly rip, but I can just buy a new strap.I cannot recommend this product enough. This watch has been through everything with me and is responsible for the seemingly permanent watch tan on my wrist. I'll keep wearing mine until finally gives out, then I'll sure as heck buy another one.

A tough watch at a Great price!!

This model of Casio 3232,DW-9052. has MORE REPEAT BUYERS then any other Casio. Bang for the buck it is used by Security /Law enforcement, and Military. The outer Lens on this G Shock can end up getting scratched badly by rocks, debris and General ware, but the interior LCD stays in "flawless perfect shape." Sure you can pay $400 and $500 for a BETTER WATCH!! But for $80 to $100 New YOU CAN NOT BEAT THIS WATCH!! I will continue to buy this Model of Casio!! I give it five stars and it is VERY affordable!

Built to last under rough work

This watch has lasted on my industrial mechanic wrist for 11 years. One of my sons gave it to me as a gift when he was in middle school. I replaced the broken fastener with an o-ring 1 year ago. The band started breaking last week, so I'm trying to decide if I should replace the band or the whole watch. Runs fast by about a minute after a year.This watch has had a couple doors slammed on it, been in contact with chemicals, washed with soap almost every day, banged by wrenches and various other tools. I wear it when I do plumbing, machining, heavy lifting, automotive work, grinding, etc. You can see a little bit of marine epoxy just to the upper left of the "G" on the worn "G-SHOCK" logo.I love this @#%^! watch!The photo wouldn't upload, though...

Casio hit a home run

While I was looking at the G-Shocks in the display, the DW 9052 caught my eye. I was looking for a replacement for my Timex T5K198 that I never really cared for because it looked and felt toy-ish. I read a lot of reviews and I liked the one with the red lettering and silver accent pins. I really like it and it is more comfortable than you might think. The only problem that I have with it is the seconds bar. It is really useless and takes up too much space on the display. That being said, I know that Casio is a rock solid watch and I figure that I can pass it on to a younger generation relative in the future. I'm getting to the age where I'm not as active as I used to be so I shouldn't cause it any damage. Casio hit a home run on my book.

Durability and waterproofing for active lifestyle and work.

Watches are my new passion. Needed a watch i could use at work that was reliable and accident prone. Ive had to wash my hands a hundred times a day thanks to our new way of life. Banged the watch off of stuff like the dickens and it just keeps looking like new. Does leave finger prints easily on the glass but no worried about breaking anything or drowning (dishes included in over 100 degree water). Not as accurate as my Seiko but advanced about 10 seconds in 2 months isn’t bad at all. Only disappointment is Definitely need indiglo at night to see the display on the black and black one i got and the backlight always on feature seems to have no effect on display at all. But just saying indiglo takes me back so worth it lol.

Good, Practical G-Shock

This is a great everyday "beater" watch. Like any other G-Shock, it's practically indestructable. Even if it were to damaged, it would be easily replaced at the current prices. Despite being a larger sized watch, it is very lightweight and comfortable on the wrist. The band adjust to fit my 6 and 1/4 inch wrist with no strap left hanging over past the keeper. The backlight is very useful for checking the time in dark conditions. The sides of the watch are raised about 1/8 of an inch above the crystal, which will help avoid scratches. The time is very visible. The only thing that bothers me is that the day, month, and date are very small and difficult to read at a single glance. Great watch for price

This is one of the enrltry level g-shocks. Don't let that dissuade you from choosing it. I love this watch I had one while I was in the military. I got another when I lost it. This watch has lasting power over the years besides some minor cosmetic damage I never had any issues with them. The battery lasts for years. That can be tricky to replace. Overall if you need a solid watch at a decent price I could not recommend it more.

Till my brother bought a G-Shock watch back in 1992 .. was too big for his wrist so he gave it to me .. what the Heck looked nice and Fit my large Frame well .. thought I would get maybe a week of a cool stylish watch .. then a month went by .. then two then a year 4 years later the Band finally failed .. And I am rough an things as well .. gotten real good at replacing my own cell phone glasses usually 4 or more every year before they stop working right ..To get 4 years out of a watch .
