In retrospect I should have (cheap direction) bought a dual set of 4 GB chips and yes they would have taken 2 slots to prop up only 8 gb... but .. in my system I want dual channel memory (matched pair) and from what I hear it can be problematic to buy "similar" ram and just put them together.. sooo.. in retrospect for me.. I wish I had bought the memory in a set.

No, I would not recommend this item, and I want a refund for all of the bad sticks of RAM I have gone through these past few months, regardless of warranty!

The first one I bought came in good bit when I bought my second one it came in faulty and when I whent to replace it the other one came faulty as well. I couldn't replace that one because the timer ran out cause I had only 3 days to do it. Know I'm stuck with a faulty ram

I ordered an 8 GB DDR4-3200 DIMM to match the 8 GB DDR4 3200 DIMM in my new Acer desktop. The DIMM I received was labeled as such. However, both Techpowerup's MemTest 64 and CPU-Z report the DIMM as a DDR4-2133 DIMM. I kinda had an inkling of something amiss when i saw the dIMM was 1.35V. Most DDR4s are 1.20V. Bummer.
This thing does exactly what RAM should do. I'm a minimalist, so having RAM with 10 inches of heatsinks and super RGB lightshows from a stick just makes me cringe. This does it's job reliably and it does it well.
Probably better to go with two sticks instead of one.
I find these to be a disgusting product. I originally bought 2 and 1 failed 3 months after. I bought a second one and it failed shortly after return policy with Newegg ended. Blue screen constantly with the failed in, works fine normally. The funny thing is the 1 working RAM stick is from my original purchase of 2 where 1 failed. Seems quality assurance is lacking. Not going to bother trying to go to manufacturer. I will buy from another company.
