These sticks could not reach the 3600Mt they are rated for. Even with timing and voltage adjustments, they could not achieve speeds even nearing the advertised speeds. The faulty sticks were replaced with better sticks that immediately worked at 3600 with no adjustments to voltages or timings. If one stick were bad, that would be understandable. But the fact that none of the four sticks were able to achieve the rates speeds suggests more than poor quality control, it suggests ill intent.

Please make sure you check your motherboard maker's memory/RAM compatability list. This is not compatible with the MSI X570 Meg Ace - I had to alter the DRAM and SOC voltage. Do not assume that because G.Skill advertises this as being for x570/Ryzen 3000 that it will be compatible with your board. My fault for not looking at the QVL. I'm still giving it 5 eggs because it worked great after I messed around with the BIOS. Note this is on the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero QVL. I will likely return to go with something that is more compatible OOTB.

3 Times in my life I purchased high-end Corsair RAM, their top of the top, my last kit was 64GB of their Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB with Capelix LEDs that cost me with Import tax and shipping 755USD. Every time i shipped the kits back to seller, they NEVER worked at XMP speed, the last kit only worked at default speeds or 3000Mhz tops, on top of all it came with one RGB dead and the same day another RGB burned LOL. I only had two expensive G.skill kits so far and they both worked as advertised, when i contacted their CS support i got fast replay [waited for 4 days for corsair to replay]. G.Skill is the only professional RAM manufacturer i met so far: They test their kits with as much motherboards as possible and all the information is available easy on their web ... More3 Times in my life I purchased high-end Corsair RAM, their top of the top, my last kit was 64GB of their Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB with Capelix LEDs that cost me with Import tax and shipping 755USD. Getting it to run at the advertised speeds was painless. I just had to enable XMP in the BIOS and it worked. It has been running at the advertised speeds without any unexpected shutdowns or reboots for more than a week now. CPU: Ryzen 3900X MOBO: GIGABYTE X570 AORUS XTREME bios ver. F10c simplest thing ever to setup. 2 mouse clicks in the bios and done. No problems in Windows 10. I had more issues getting a resh install of Win10 "activated" than getting this DDR4 kit to run at the advertised speed. Love it! Thanks, G.Skill great product.
When I first hooked up my system my 3950x didnt run at the infinity clock to match this ram and was unstable on xmp. After messing with the voltages of the ifinity clock a bit, it was perfectly stable. I know this is more of a motherboard/ryzen issue, but the solution was actually turning voltages down which was strange. Anyways i did a small bit of overclocking and it runs great. The rgb is so good looking, so despite the price im pretty happy with them.
These are supposed to be verified by G.Skill to work on my MSI x570 Unify but fail to post using XMP which was the ENTIRE reason for buying this set. I call G.Skill U.S.A. Technical Support and they tell me to test each stick individually and in pairs to see if I have a bad stick and they also have reports that people are having an issue with the 570 chipset running two pairs of memory and that I might have to wait for a BIOS update. I have 15 of these systems to build, do you think I have the time to check each stick both individually and in pairs?! What validation was done to make it on your QVL?! This is my second set that I’ve tried and both are the same. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! Avoid G.Skill if you value your time!
If you just want something to install, turn on XMP, and enjoy then this RAM works just fine like that. It's performance is OK (it has Hynix DRAM chips instead of Samsung so don't expect stellar performance or timings), and its thermals aren't bad. I purchased this RAM because my PC is in a room that's too hot for Samsung B-Dies, and I needed something that could run more reliably at temps that higher performance RAM starts having errors at (although this RAM also seems to run cooler too). I had no delusions about its performance, as I was aware of the type of DRAM chips G.Skill uses on this kit of RAM before I decided to purchase it. This memory is for the "set and forget" guys, and not those who like to tweak their RAM speeds and timings looking for the best ... MoreIf you just want something to install, turn on XMP, and enjoy then this RAM works just fine like that. I installed this on an ASUS x570 TUF Gaming Plus Wi-Fi motherboard with a Ryzen 3900x CPU. Getting it to run at the advertised speeds was painless: I just had to enable XMP (this was labeled "D.O.C.P" in the ASUS BIOS) and it worked. It has been running at the advertised speeds without any unexpected shutdowns or reboots for more than a week now. The RGB lights came on automatically at first system power-up and they look nicer than I expected they would (this might be partly a motherboard dependent feature, I'm not sure). I do not plan to spend time trying to improve the look by tweaking G.Skill or ASUS software.
If you're looking for good quality RAM to work with your Zen 3 CPU, this will do the job, at least for the motherboard I have. It's a good price too. Better speeds and timings exist out there from other RAM models / brands, but they cost a lot more. This product (F4-3600C16Q-64GTZNC) is a good bang for the buck if you want 64GB RAM and decent speeds and timings in a 4 DIMM setup. Not much headroom for overclocking this RAM, at least from my initial trials.
Works very well on my MSI x570 Unify (unlike the guy from a couple of reviews earlier). Just turned on the XMP mode to get the full 3600MHz. All 4 sticks passed the MemTest86. High PassMark score (99th percentile). Not getting hot, just warm under load. Looks very nice when powered. This is the only RGB part in my new rig because I couldn't find a better memory with the price/performance ratio. The prices just got high though.
