I've used G.Skill since they came out many years ago but I've always had timing issues when pushing them or even just with compatibility between MB's I've used them on, that is in AMD systems. I'm happy to say that even the models without an X on the end, X is for AMD compatible, that they work very well in AMD systems now, never had issues in Intel's they've been solid with them since their beginning.

So far the memory has done its job quite well. Haven't done "stress testing" on it. Good price and fit nicely under the cooling fan. Figured I'd max out the 64 with a 2nd set of these when the price dropped (built the system a year ago).

Would recommend, the Memory is powerful, and easily worked with my Mobo and Processor. Oh, and RGB adds FPS... duh... Picked these up on Cyber Monday, price was more than agreeable. Will probably grab a second set when I feel the need for 64 GB of RAM, but right now that's not necessary (probably won't be for a while)

I did some research and found a Samsung B-list which indicates this model possibly includes B-Die (or Hynix AFR). So I bought one The moment I put it on my pc and opened thaiphoon burner I was so excited to see they are Samsung B-die! Then the OC work began so far I have hit 4000MHz 19-19-19-40. Will keep tweaking to find its maximum! My pc configuration: i7-9700K@5GHz, ROG Maximus IX Apex(BIOS Modded to support coffee lake CPU). Hynix AFR is also great and it can hit at least 3400 on Intel motherboard.
So i spent like 10 hours trying to get my ram running at 3200. XMP profile for my (msi x570-a pro) board (yes bios is updated) basically stops my mobo from posting whatsoever (cmos reset is then required). (ryzen 3900x) I have also tried manually tweaking, in addition to upping the voltage to 1.36 just in case that helped. It didn't... But when i go down to a single stick, one of them works at 3200 and the other causes nearly instantaneous crashes... I guess i need to return these?
Running just fine with a Gigabyte B450 Gaming X. Oddly enough, when I had my Ryzen 5 2600 in there I had to set the SOC and DRAM voltage manually to 1.1 and 1.35 in order for it to run at 3200. But when I replaced the 2600 with a 3700x, I loaded the XMP profile and it booted just fine. I may have gotten lucky, but both sets I got (the 1st one I had to RMA and the 2nd one that's running right now) were Samsung B-Die. Possibly low binned B-Die though.
XMP doesn't work and I had to move it to A2 and B2 slots for the system to even boot at all. It boots at 2133Mhz. I manually put in the SPD information and it won't boot at 3200Mhz. I can only get 2666Mhz stable. 2800Mhz is unstable resulting in memory failures. I have to RMA the ram and can't afford to have my system go down during RMA time so I bought Corsair 3200 optimized and guess what? It works out of the box on any slot combination with XMP. This was also on the Gskill QVL for 2700X and Asus TUF Gaming motherboard. The memory is not on the QVL for this motherboard but, the corsair memory is and viola problem solved. I'm going to RMA it anyway but I'm stuck with two worthless sticks even if I get them to work at 3200 back from Gskill. Very disappointing. I used to advocate for G.Skill. While I only used their peripherals in the past (I genuinely love their keyboards). I will reach out to G.Skill and follow up with their response, but this memory genuinely made my life very difficult for multiple months. I am not happy.
WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!! I haven't tried overclocking them any higher than 3200 yet, or messing with the timings. All I can say is that I've had no issues with them straight out of the box. I have a Ryzen 3800x running @ 4.2 on all cores, paired with a MSI X570 MEG ACE Motherboard and G.SKILL Trident Z RGB (For AMD) 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-32GTZRX. Runs Flawlessly.
RAM worked at it's advertised speed and timings with no additional work, so I can't complain about the practical hardware. The RGB hue being off and the incompatibility with ICUE's Aura plug-in is saddening because it makes it annoying to sync with the rest of my system's RGB.
