This seems like a good kit. I was able to get 2 DIMMs to 6200 stable at 1.35v on ASUS z690 ROG gaming-E with updated bios. Trained during first post to 4800, and xmp enabled at 6000 fine. This is my first attempt at memory OC, so Im sure they can be pushed further and that I just lack experience at this point. I actually had 4 DIMMs up to 5800 but decided I was okay with 32 gigs until DDR5 advanced a little more and then Id probably swap out entirely. Keep in mind that DDR5 runs in quad channel with 2 DIMMs, so 4 is pretty pointless (for gaming, at least). I prefer a good product over RGB. If it comes with it, Ill take it. However, its not a must have. I actually really like the way these look without it and dig the trident Z design. Overall, this was a good kit for ... MoreThis seems like a good kit. This was my first experience with G.Skill RAM and it has made me a convert. I always used to go with Corsair in the past but checking the QVL for my board (Asus ROG Strix Z690 E-Gaming) and what was available on Newegg with the speed and timings I wanted, made me try this brand. I am glad I did! Great RAM and runs at the listed timings no problem after enabling XMP in the bios. It should go without saying but before you buy, make sure to check compatibility with your board and also your CPU cooler. If you're clear there, it should be smooth sailing all the way.

This is the most problematic RAM I've ever had. I had to do a BIOS update just to get it to work with my motherboard and even after that it has constant issues when set to run at its advertised clock speeds and timings. It crashes games at random, blue screens the PC at random, the list goes on. Do yourself a favor and buy a more reliable brand.

Newegg sold this to me in a bundle. I contacted gskill for help still waiing for response. I contacted gigabytes about the aorus master z690 motherboard sold in the bundle. The ram is useless with any settings. System cannot stay stable crashing or black flickering screen when I do log into windows 11. For the cost support should be a huge priority. I'd expect poor product compatibility from value ram not top tier(price).
Using the 6000 36-36-36-76 1.30V profile with Intel 12700K on ASUS Prime-P Z690 Wifi with RTX 3090. This ram is flawless and fast. It failed immediately in memory tests when first installed. Turns out ASUS has some compatibility updates in newer versions and now it works perfectly using the XMP profile settings.
I bought this RAM as part of a bundle just to get the RAM for an upgrade. This RAM passed memtest86 but frequently crashed my games and windows. I verified all drivers and BIOS were up to date. Tried XMP I and XMP II profiles. Also tried a custom profile that down clocked the RAM to try to make it stable, nothing worked. I didn't read reviews prior to purchase and that was my mistake. Reviews and forums are everywhere with people having issues with this brand of RAM for years. Do yourself a favor and get a better brand. This is getting returned today.
I would recommend this to any 3d modeling enthusiast, or serious gamer. The rebuild and live editing is so much faster than DDR4 for CAD with large builds.
Using with a ASUS ROG Strix Z690-F and i7-12700k, worked directly out of the box. Going at 4800 MHz without XMP. Should reach the prescribed 6000 MHz when BIOS update comes out.
In my Asus Z690I this kit was unstable with xmp off and still was unstable even at speeds as low as 3600C40. After a couple days of troubleshooting I found that manually maxing out the switching frequency and current limit for dram power delivery made xmp with auto subtimings stable. In a Gigabyte z690 aorus ultra this just wouldn't post until I used bios flashback to update to the latest bios. There's no way to get xmp stable on that board and the dram power delivery settings I found on my asus don't exist here.
Asus z690 prime motherboard and Intel 12th Gen I9 CPU. 4 sticks of this ram will give errors on the second pass of memtest86 in xmp 1 profile and instantly give errors I xmp 2. Disappointing as it is a premium price that is supposed to be able to be overclocked. Could have paid half the price for the same amount of ram running the speed it does.
