The sleeves are fine, but slightly different in look to other makes used foe same purpose. For example I bought them for an expansion. The core game cards had already been sleeved with FFG sleeves which are no longer available. The expansion cards were sleeved with the Gamegenic sleeves. If you look carefully fat the identical backs of the cards you can see a difference in the Matt surfaces.

A good choice for those who don't care for color-backed card sleeves and want to show off the graphic design on the cards themselves. A nice purchase for the price, smooth shuffle and feel to the cards. Be warned, the gloss finish can have the cards slipping and falling if you don't have a steady hand but it isn't a deal-breaker by any means.

Sleeve quality is nice, so I am giving 3 stars for that. However, compared to something like Ultra Pro's Matte Sleeves, they just aren't as nice to use. With these Gamegenic Matte sleeves, unfortunately, the front and back have the same level of Matte finish, making the art actually hard to see, and significantly muting the colors. In comparison to UP's Matte sleeves, the back of the sleeve is completely matte like Gamegenic's, however the front (where you see the art of the card) is much more translucent. If you want the most readable cards, with the benefit of matte sleeves (reduced glare, less slippery cards), I wouldn't recommend these Gamegenic sleeves.

I’m on a search for my favorite affordable sleeves, and these are it so far. Good fit, easy to shuffle, and good glare reduction (although you may want to consider clear instead of matte if you’re looking to retain full color vibrancy).
I used these to sleeve the cards in Star Wars The Clone Wars by Z-Man Games. They fit great, and the quality is high (as always for Gamegenic). I am happy with my purchase!
When I ordered these I assumed they were matte-textured like the Dragon Shield Matte sleeves, which provides some grip to the sleeves. However, the Matte on these sleeves is more of a visual thing for the cards. These sleeves are actually much more slippery and hard to hold and stack than the regular Gamegenic sleeves. I ended up wishing I got the regular sleeves, but these are still great quality and very affordable.
Gamegenic Matte Sleeves are easily my favorite card sleeves that don’t cost a fortune. For the price these are the best around and they have every size and shape for all your favorite games. Highly highly recommend. I love how reliable they are, I have yet to have any fail. The push thru shuffle feel doesn’t catch and is quite buttery smooth, and the matte anti glare does help visibility even if a glare does still exist it’s far less.5/5 Stars.
I love these sleeves. They have a nice matte texture to them that helps to minimize glare. They are also solidly constructed. I basically put all my pack fresh cards in them, and they fit nicely in collector-style albums and the texture helps the card to not slip around. I haven't done much playing/shuffling with them, so your mileage may vary in that regard.
I ordered these on a whim earlier last year, and they're excellent. They fit just right on the Legendary Marvel cards without being too tight (like the TitanShield), and the matte feel prevents the cards from slipping all over the place while using or shuffling them. Plus, you can still see the cards because they're just matte, and not colored or logoed. I just wish the value pack was in stock more.
I realize people sleeve game cards for various reasons and the matte finish may not suit all situations however, the luxurious feel and nonglare nature of these premium coverings elevate the card and the ART in such a satisfying way that it is hard (for me at least) to not want to re-sleeve my entire collection with them. The fit is snug without distorting the card, the finish facilitates shuffling better than gloss sleeves and the thickness is just right for a premium level of protection. The premium price may be a factor to consider but in my opinion, they are well worth it even if they are used for only a few select and cherished games.
