Convertible deck boxes The Deckbox Sidekick 100+ is a box from the Convertible series from Gamegenic. This series was designed to present cards in a new and unique way. A great feature is that you can completely remove the magnetic lid from the deckbox. When you click the lid on the bottom of the deckbox, you can rotate the box in all kinds of ways. Another possibility is to put a lid of a different color on the deckbox. You can create your own color combinations. Difference between Sidekick and Squire deckbox Sidekick and Squire deckboxes are the same size, but the cards are placed differently. With a Squire deckbox, the cards are upright in the deckbox, so with the short side to the opening. With a Sidekick deck box, the cards are placed horizontally in the box, so with the longest side of the card towards the opening. With the Sidekick deckbox you take the cards out with the side of the card.

GameGenic is relatively new to the scene, but has really hit the ground running with their deckboxes. The most natural comparison for the Gamegenic Sidekick 100+ is to the Ultimate Guard Sidewinder 100+. They're both side-loading deckboxes that go for about the same price depending on the seller; they both snugly fit 100 double-sleeved or 120 single-sleeved cards, and that's about it. But unlike the Sidewinder, the Sidekick's lid is fully removable, and stays closed using magnets that are just right. Thanks to clever magnet placement, you can also attach the lid to the bottom of the box so that it's out of the way while the box sits open. If you have more than one, the ability to mix and match different color lids with different color boxes is a nice touch. The spaces along the edge where you can fit your fingers to grip the deck are generously large without going overboard. If you want to store a deck or two AND some accessories for them like dice or counters, I'd recommend a box that has an extra compartment instead. But if you just want the card storage, this is one of the best options on the market right now.I was happy with this box and VERY happy with one of GameGenic's larger boxes, the Dungeon, so I look forward to what else they have in store in the future.

Love these boxes for storing decks for TCGs/LCGs. Have four, and will likely buy more in the future!
