Gardena 13mm Comfort HighFLEX Hose - 50m

Parcel received satisfactorily replacement for my used and old 13 mm diameter gardena watering hose. Gardena is my favourite water hose, scissors and grass cutting tools as well. Thank you seller, see you on my next order.

Actually does what is says on the packaging.

This is hands down the best hose I have ever owned. It says Kink resistance 9 and it really is - not like the rubbishy Nylex one I bought, took home, and even after unrolling it a couple of times ended up with no less than 8 kinks in it when I tried to pull it out full length. By contrast, this one is amazing. And I love the "memory" aspect of it on that when you roll it up on my roller. It stays wound tight on the reel - and doesn't unroll itself like most do. I am looking forward to a long and happy life together with this baby.

All this hose does ... is kinks.

... and it's the worst I've ever had. It's s semi flexible without water flowing through it however as soon as you turn the tap on, it kinks. Not in one spot, or two but in my case, eleven different places as I walked around the garden. Because the hose is inflexible, if you walk it back to unwind the kinks, the hose retains its form, spins and kinks further down the line. You have to pull the hose taught for its full length before turning the tap on. If you leave any part of the hose curled when water comes through, it will kink at the curl as you pull on the hose. So walking around the garden watering is out. It's a load of junk.

As advertised

Hose works well as advertised, definitely no kinks which is handy as my cheaper hoses kink over a 30m length. Just remember pressure losses increase with a longer hose. Price is definitely an investment, i had a similar model that was left coiled outside in the sun for months and eventually perished, so store it out of the sun. Orange colour is great to prevent a trip hazard.

Great hose that doesn't kink.

This a great hose. Never kinks.Don't believe the reviews that say the hose kinks badly. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.I've had one for 8 years and is still perfect. About to buy another. You pay for quality. Other cheaper hoses are hard and constantly link.Highly recommend.

Great kink free hose

Great Product. This is the third Gardena High Flex hose I have purchased. The important feature to me was the kink resistance ability. They are not cheap, but well worth the extra as other cheaper hose I have purchased previously where prone to kinking, and many very stiff. This one is the best hose I have ever purchased. As we live on 5 acres, we need hoses of different lengths to maintain our trees and gardens. I purchase a 15mt version at the same time after already owing one I knew this was the best hose. The fitting too are excellent and do not leak, even under pressure when a trigger nozzle is not engaged.

Review of Gardena Comfort Highflex Hose Pipe 13mm X 50m (18069)

Well, gardena never lets us down. We've used Gardena products for a good 30 years and in that time, the tools have stayed the test of time. The watering systems including hoses and fittings are worth the money. Purchased this hose to replace a well worn and shorter hose to go on a gardena hose trolley and for the price, it's the best out there. Quality wise, it's a textured hose so it's easy to grip and manage, very sturdy and very pleased with it.

Worst hose I have owned and I’ve owned a few

I had this hose for 4 years. On the plus side I did get a refund from Bunnings and bought a Nylex hose instead. Kinking. Mmmm this is the worst hose I’ve ever owned for kinking, but the easiest to un-kink, just give it a flick and they come out. The killer for this hose was that since about 3 years of age it randomly get bumps and bubbles in the outer surface which then eventually blow up like a balloon and burst. Outer surface looks perfect but it’s not. At first it was only happening only near the nozzle so I have been cutting it back, but now sections in the middle have the same issue. Overall worse performing hose I have ever owned.

fantastic hose!

Great hose and connections.Removing the kinks is not hard, seen other complain about such a trivial matter. I guess some buyers did not know about hose memory (after all its packaged that way so there will be kinks).Simple hook the hose up and make sure the connections are tight. Lay the hose out in a large area and remove the kinks. Fill the hose with water and if possible leave in the sun for a day (this will help remove the memory from the hose).I would recommend this product.

fittings are small

You purchase a 19mm hose to get more volume through. However the fittings on the hose are 12mm fittings with an inner diameter of around 8.5mm. This is not stated on the description. So I had to go and buy replacement 19mm fittings that really were designed for this hose. They had an inner diameter of about 14mm which is 2.7 times the cross-sectional area. Why have a hose with an inner diameter of around 19mm and then constrain it through a 8.5mm hole. Disappointing.
