I bought this hose 2 weeks ago and it must be the worst hose for kinking I've ever owned. Bought it specifically because it is rated (on the label) as 10 out 10 point for anti-kinking properties (and paid premium for it!). I rolled it out before use to straighten it out in the sun and the moment I started using it it started kinking all over the place. USELESS!! Complete waste of money!! I should be refunded as it does not do what it is advertised to do!!!

I have had mine for about 6 years, maybe more. It is brilliant. Used at least once a week to wash cars, bikes, surfboards wet suits.........Any hose will kink if you twist it enough, however this is very kink resistant.NO PUNCTURES. My last bunch of hoses would kink and end up with pin holes, really annoying. This has not had one puncture.With out doubt, best money I have spent - in fact cheaper than buying a new hose every couple of years. Spend the extra on this hose, you wont be disappointed.

I bought this house for its kink resistance. It works just fine.To the other reviewer, did you follow the procedure for a new house as stated on the front of pack? I.e pressurise it with water and lay it out flat for 2 days in the sun to make it relax?No, I thought not.

Bought this hose over 2 years ago and chose the premium priced grade 10 kink free item.Supposed to be kink resistant but that's not the case. Did all the right things as per instruction to relieve the stress in the hose but after nearly three years and still trying no joy. Every time you use the hose it has more coils than a rattle snake and every coil it forms cuts the water supply. The most expensive hose I have ever bought and is worse than very cheap items. Don't buy this hose just buy a cheap alternative with the same result
Please don't listen to these 1 star reviews!!If people read the instructions on the hose packaging first, they would realise that you should lay it out in a line and fill and pressurise the hose and leave it for a couple days in the sun to give the hose a memory.The orange grip strip holds the fittings on great, we've got huge pressure at our place and I've never had fitting blow off or come loose yet.These are great quality hoses and are all I use round the house.
This was an expensive hose but I've had many hoses over the years so thought this time I would buy the best. Yes it does kink from time to time so watch for that. Yes it lasted 10 years and sprung a leak in the middle of the 30m length. Bugger!. But the best bit was it was replaced under warranty. Excellent service Bunning's!
Best hose, I have used it commercially and at home.The key is to lay it out flat, untwist it and you won't have any problems.
I bought one of these because I wanted max kink resistance and I wanted to support Mitre 10 and this one really sounded like it would do the job of the nylex hoses I normally use. it doesnt, it kink really badly for an expensive hose. I would never buy another one and went straight out and bought a nylex 10 resistance hose which does exactly what it advertises it should do ie it does not kink
I purchased 2 x 50m superflex hoses and all the fittings including 2 x sprinklers, 2 x guns and tap adapters etc. The hoses are RUBBISH. The drama every time I want to roll it up or unroll it gives me a headache. Previously had nylex and very disappointed with these superflex hoses. They link all the time always. Wouldn't recommend ever. 10 anti kink rating is a joke. I hate them. Also the ribbed edging which I presume is the anti kink is painful when rolling them up. Rubbish a day long. Give me my money back. Very expensive hoses . Very expensive rubbish. Dont buy them

It is so frustrating to use, it is always kinking and twisting and tangling itself into knots and it is a fight to get it back on the hose hanger. I've given up that fight for today and have just left it lying in a heap on the ground to come inside, have a soothing cup of tea and write this review. Even after two years of ownership this hose still wants to wind itself back into the circular shape it came in, good luck getting it to remain straight and kink free. I would not recommend this hose for elderly people or people who are not physically strong as it is heavy and requires a fair bit of strength to untangle the kinks. Will be replacing ...
