The G80 is well designed and easy to use. The Front Middle and Back can be displayed in large print for ease of reading. Not a cheap unit, but has the advantage that there is no ongoing licence fee to be paid.I have no knowledge of Launch monitor operation or accuracy as yet, since I have not used it to date.

I have been researching the market for a good golf GPS, since I have been playing more and more golf recently. I had been using an app on my phone, but found that to not always the most consistent or accurate. Then I came across the G80 and loved the idea, but thought was I ready for the investment? After watching many videos and reviews on the product I bought it. Not only does this piece of equipment accurately lay-out a golf course, but it has a built in launch monitor and practice tools. The one thing I will say about the launch monitor is the accuracy. When using my wedges up to hybrid it is quite accurate with estimated carry, but once I hit my 3 wood and Driver the monitor doesn’t compute properly. If you are a golfer who is taking the game more seriously, I would suggest giving the G80 a shot.

The G80 GPS screen is excellent to use, responsive and clear during the daylight. The distance is super accurate as well (Checked with Bushnell laser). I'm excited to get to the range and use the training aid features given the GPS and maps side of the tool work so well.Golfbox had this to me in 2 days, super happy with the price and the speed of delivery!

GPS maps as good as ever and the distance radar extremely accurate. A great piece of kit to help you track your distance control. Tempo readings showing interest results leading to more practiceWould definitely recommend
Bit disappointed in the screen resolution and brightness. All pictures on website and reviews show a bright green and coloured screen, when in fact is dull and nothing like the pictures, which makes it hard to see in really bright sunlight. Works well though and the launch monitor function is pretty accurate. Tried next to a trackman and the data was +- 5 meters..
Good GPS with a map of the hole, and also a close-up of the green. The maps are large enough to see details clearly, as are the distances to the greens, bunkers and hazards. Also has a useful training mode and a launch monitor built in which have really helped me practice. Recharges quickly, and easily attaches to my golf buggy. Not the cheapest, but easily the best I've used or seen.
I'm still on lockdown and bought the G80 a couple months ago. I recently bought a Net Return net as well and set up in screen porch that, fortunately, has very high ceilings. The G80 is great and nice to get some feedback. I have hit on Trackman and received a detailed report with all my yardages. The G80 is very accurate and just have to adjust the roll for different clubs to get a more precise reading. Excellent product!
First... for an on course GPS unit, its larger size and ability to use your finger to "drag' around the screen to get distances is very nice. If this was $300 and that's what all it did, it's probably worth it.The launch monitor is fairly good but limited. As I understand it, it's simply taking your swing speed and calculating what that would convert to on distance. I found that shorter distances were reasonably accurate but the longer the club, (in my opinion) the less accurate the numbers were. Today, I hit a 4 hybrid on the range and then grabbed my 3 wood and swung somewhat similar but the distance was noticeably different (in real ball fight) but the G80 said the distance was almost the same. It's kind of cool to play different courses while on the range ... No... If it's on sale and you like a larger screen GPS unit, then this is it.I have zero doubt that in 5 years, Garmin and others will be producing units like this that use far better technology but for now, not a bad unit.
It's obviously not a full trackman style product but provides good solid information to help develop steady, repetitive golf swing figures. The course GPS is also very good although hardly any courses in my area appear with the white surrounds often used on Garmin advertising. This makes it a little trickier to make out the fairway shapes when using the Garmin in bright lighting conditions. I did bring this up with Garmin but it fell on death ears.
superfast delivery! g80 is awsome. went from no range finder and guessing distances to now knowing how far the green is. only used for 1 round so far but its good
