Apple Watch Convert

I’ve been an Apple Watch user since its inception. Realized having a cellular capability isn’t that big of a deal and converted to Garmin. Went with the enduro 3, am so happy I did. Haven’t missed the Apple Watch at all.Fitness tracking is amazing (though HRV numbers are suspect at best when compared to an actual HRV tracking platform… and Garmin keeps telling me I need a rest day - whatever that means). I have average sized wrists and the 51mm isn’t too big at all.Battery is fantastic as you’d expect, I’ve had the watch 2.5 weeks and have only charged it once, and even then I didn’t need to charge.

I bought this as an upgrade to my FR945, and have been extremely happy with my purchase. The battery lasts through weeks of workouts for me (4-5 days of 1 hour run with GPS and interval training workout, long run 3+ hours every weekend), and in the month or so that I've had it, I've only charged the watch twice. The touch screen is great, responds really well and has good haptic feedback. The nylon band is comfortable, the edges are surprisingly soft, and the velcro has held on well so far. For less than the Fenix, and only missing scuba features, with way more battery life, this is a no brainer for any endurance athlete.

Best watch!

Here’s the translation:Very beautiful watch with long durability. Please never abandon the Enduro series. The nylon strap is great—it doesn't smell when you sweat! The only downside is that there are a lot of bugs after the watch is released; I would expect it to be polished already, not that users have to be beta testers...

Enduro 3
29 September 2024

I previously had an Enduro 2, the menu features are somewhat similar to the previous version, just a few changes here and there. I like the ECG feature and the message quick response capabilities. But mostly, while the overall diameter is still 51mm, there is much more space available in the watch face area, due to the repositioned solar receptors , resulting in more visibility overall.

Finally a kayak tracker in watch
5 October 2024

The bought the Enduro for a couple reasons, the main two are: 1st, it finally has a kayak setting in the activities, I have been using other trackers and then having to make adjustments. 2nd: the battery+solar, OMG I have not needed to charge my watch since the initial charge due to it charging while I am out and about. Now it does have other great features and the watch face is BIG and easy to read l.

Great screen and battery lif
13 September 2024

I have owned several generations of the Fenix, Epix, and Tactix series. One limitation of the solar MIP models was the slight effect of the Sapphire Solar lens, other than in direct sunlight. The Enduro 3’s transparent screen is now perfectly clear, indoors or out. The light weight of the case* and strap, and the insane battery life, make this a true winner.*Even the lugs have been sculpted to reduce weight.

Love the Enduro
9 October 2024

I absolutely love the Enduro 3. Excellent battery life, and very light given its size. I previously had a 47mm Fenix and was a little unsure about how I’d feel about the increased size of a 51mm but with the new case being so light I honestly feel like I don’t even notice the watch. The GPS is great, as always, and connect within seconds every time. Can’t say enough good things, and excited to take this on some multi-day journeys in the upcoming months!

Pretty sweet
2 October 2024

Still learning all the functions. HRV appears to be better than my Whoop strap. Just started using training functionality and liking it. Mapping of trails and time on segments is more accurate. Battery life is amazing! Looking forward to testing custom watch faces.

Sooooo Happy
24 September 2024

Had the fenix 3 for 8 years. Major upgrade. Hope it is a durable as my fenix 3. The battery life crazy. Only have charged the watch once. I am happy. The choice of getting the Enduro 3 over the new Fenix 8 was the correct one for me. I did not need a microphone or speaker. The real test will be when I venture into the woods for 8 day. No cellphone coverage. Love the watch.

This Is An Exceptional Watch
3 October 2024

I purposely waited for this watch to be released and hoped it would arrive before my upcoming ultramarathon and it was a smart decision on my part. Overall, this watch absolutely exceeds my expectations.Pros:- Battery life is exceptional whether in smartwatch mode or when using GPS.- Lightweight and comfortable (even when sleeping).- Watch band is super comfortable and holds the watch securely.- Provides a ton of data in both smartwatch mode and GPS mode.- # of data screens for all activities are basically unlimited with so many fields to choose from with a variety of pre-defined formats to display the data.- So many features that can quickly be accessed while on the move (alarm, timer, stopwatch, altimeter, barometer, compass, weather, etc.).- The ... MoreI purposely waited for this watch to be released and hoped it would arrive before my upcoming ultramarathon and it was a smart decision on my part. You have no idea how much you need this feature until you have it. I use it everyday/night. Oh, and it has a strobe light feature, but I have not used that yet.- The buttons have a good, firm feel to them and don't seem to get accidently pressed when putting on or taking off a backpack or running vest.- User interface is pretty easy to navigate after an initial learning curve.- Maps/Navigation feature is absolutely fantastic. My wife and I just spent a week in the Rocky Mtn. National Park and several times I had to reference this feature to ensure we were on track and it works extremely well. I hope to dive into more of the navigation features so I can really leverage all it has to offer.Cons: (And, I hope Garmin takes note of these and makes some adjustments)- The speaker is not very loud and the vibration not very intense, so it's easy to miss prompts during workouts, races, and even normal runs. As someone with partial hearing loss, this is extremely frustrating. I have not found any way to adjust these levels so far, but having this ability would be very helpful.- The notification feature is driving me a bit crazy. I turned off notifications for things like "breaking news" or other prompts my phone would normally provide me. I still want to receive text prompts, but so far, I get everything on my watch and haven't figured out how to only get what I want.- Some of the data displayed on the main screen is extremely small, which in my case requires reading glasses to see with my old eyes. This is also the case on other screens where there is definitely enough screen space to use a larger font size. This is truly a great watch, yes it has a couple quirks, but overall, I consider this a smart purchase, a great value, and I HIGHLY recommend it!
