I'm in love with this watch. I feel like I have found a gem. Garmin started to pop up a lot during my search for a watch that can track my indoor swimming. The look of the Fenix 6 stood out for me. Because for a long time I have been longing for something that looks as cool as my 'deceased' (and discontinued) Samsung Galaxy Gear S3 Frontier but more functional than it. It has a lot more sport activity tacking features than I need. For me it is enough that it has brought a new meaning to my pool swimming activities. I have learned that a lot of people use their Garmins for running, which is not my type of sport, so I haven't tested it. The watch is too bulky for sleep tracking. This was not an issue for me as I have never been able to make any use of my sleep data ... MoreI'm in love with this watch. I feel like I have found a gem. It was a bit tricky to navigate through the menus and use its features using the five buttons and no touch screen, but I got used to it. The only feature that I gave up using is wallet (i.e., contactless payment) because it requires a 4-digit pin every time, which is a bit of a hustle to input using the side buttons. I wish it allowed a pinless payment option. Overall, I'm in love with this watch. I feel like I have found a gem. Note: I’ve bought it a half-price sale; not sure if I would be willing to buy for full price.

I owned a Garmin Forerunner 245 about 3-4 years ago and didn't really like it that much at all to be honest. Then I went through 2 Polar watches I liked....tried the Suunto 9 and then the Fenix 6X Pro. I feel like I've gone from the outhouse to the penthouse. I love every little thing about this watch: I really like bigger watches to so the 51mm face is ideal I swapped out the band for a Anaben(?) velcro one from Amazon. I love velcro watch bands...starting back in the day with the Timex Fast Wrap band....haha. Garmin universe (Garmin Connect and Connect IQ) apps are amazing...I'm sure they could be better? But they are the best out there...and I've done Polar and Suunto...but Garmin has the Cadillac of data and layout. Love it. Also really like the 26mm band ... MoreI owned a Garmin Forerunner 245 about 3-4 years ago and didn't really like it that much at all to be honest. I think it's only dropped once for a few seconds and I use the Heart Rate monitoring 24/7. I assume the pulse OX is correct...I just use the Pulse Ox monitoring at night. Did I tell you I love all the data? Haha....if you're a data nerd...this is your watch...wow. I can't wear the watch when I do jiu jitsu....so I just bought a Polar Verity Sense and that plus this watch is an amazing combo for tracking my workouts. I put a screen saver on it...I wanted the Sapphire...but I also wanted the black bezel...and for that you have to buy the one with the leather band and drop another 200 bones...haha...I don't need Sapphire that bad...although it is the 3rd hardest substance on earth. I may get a Sapphire in the 7 in a year or so....we'll see what new features they add to the 6X Pro and if it's worth it. I don't know if everything about this watch is perfect...or it's just perfect for me and they somehow got everything I like perfectly correct. The only watch I'll go to after this one is a Fenix 7...haha. I got it for $499....and I was actually worried about getting arrested for stealing at that price...haha. I think this watch under 500 bones is a great deal. Feel free to ask a question and if I see it I'll try and answer it... Amazon has a better return policy than this site...but this site is smaller...family owned and offers good discounts usually and good competitive prices. They also ship super fast...of course I also live close in Columbus, O. I've been recommending this watch to my friends I like it so much. Hope this helps somebody!

I bought this while it was on sale. Had been weighing up a new Samsung watch or this. Ended up with this and could not be happier. If you're going from a Samsung watch to garmin you will loose some functionality but you gain 5plus days of battery time. And for the most part this feels like a watch, mostly becaue of its display. Yes it is not crisp or vibrant but if you can look past that it only takes a day to adjust. And in daylight this shines. You can see the time all the time and the additional features are great. The connect app isn't as refined as the Samsung health but it too only take a day or two to adjust. If you cna give up the touch bit this will last you years I think.

Purchased Garmin Fenix 6 with titanium strap. I could not find this watch cheaper anywhere. The watch itself is quite large at 47mm and looks big on the wrist, had looked at getting 51mm but this would have been to large. the adjustment of the strap was simple with the screwdriver tool supplied in the box used to remove a couple of links. The watch is simple to use once the various button functions are understood, maybe a touch screen would be useful when getting text messages etc, but then again what this watch is used for a touch screen maybe detrimental to the function as it could accidentally be taken away from the function in use. The amount of functions in such a small package is staggering and you can play and store music as well through Bluetooth amazing.
Spent many hours looking at options before choosing the Fenix 6S Sapphire, and now I have it I'm delighted. Went for the light gold which is (in my opinion) the standout colourway of the Fenix 6 family. The shale grey suede band feels top quality, & I'll be saving that for occasional ware, while the sand silicon band is comfy and ideal for daily/sporting use until I pick up a nylon hook strap. I've had a couple of days of trying out activities and the tracking & health features are superb. Everyday smartwatch features are surprisingly good too - I was afraid I would be compromising on that coming from a 2nd gen Android Wear watch, but actually everything is very usable, from simple actioning of emails & texts (dismiss/archive/delete/etc) to a selection of pre-set ... MoreSpent many hours looking at options before choosing the Fenix 6S Sapphire, and now I have it I'm delighted. Everyday smartwatch features are surprisingly good too - I was afraid I would be compromising on that coming from a 2nd gen Android Wear watch, but actually everything is very usable, from simple actioning of emails & texts (dismiss/archive/delete/etc) to a selection of pre-set replies for Whatsapp. Button-only control becomes second nature very quickly and avoids the eternal fingerprint ugliness of a touch screen UI. Screen isn't quite as impressive as the Samsungs & similar, but daylight readability is superb, and of course the payoff is the fantastic battery life (which makes sleep tracking so much more viable as overnight charging isn't needed!). I think the light gold colourway is perhaps a little overpriced versus the other 6S Pro & Solar versions, especially considering the only real material difference is the suede strap. Nonetheless, the price from First Class was the best I could find, beating Garmin's own by miles. Order arrived next day by DPD, well packed, with good despatch and tracking info throughout. Would happily recommend or use again, thanks!
Garmin Fenix 6 Sapphire titanium. Amazing features on this watch, including maps and navigation which were important to me. Paid extra for the sapphire version as I was nervous about the standard Gorilla glass getting scratched over time. Previously had a Casio G-Shock Riseman which I loved for its toughness and unlimited solar power, but which stopped working after 11 years. The Garmin makes it look very primitive. Because it has so many features, it's going to take a while to learn how to use it, but the possibilities are exciting. The service from First Class Watches was outstanding (bracelet adjustment and next day Special Delivery included) and although you can't escape the fact that this is an expensive watch, their price was very competitive considering it's ... MoreGarmin Fenix 6 Sapphire titanium. Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Titanium Sapphire. Great watch, at a very good price (for me it was £431: £479 with another 10% off). Much cheaper than elsewhere. Everything smooth. Only thing awry was I specified for watch to arrive the following Monday, and it arrived early on Saturday (that was Royal Mail's fault, not FCW). I was in, so no problem :-)! Watch was brand new, in packaging and a very heavy and padded plush box. Had just over 50% charge when I received it, charged it up to 100%, and 4 days later (and 7 activities with 8.5h of GPS, and much playing about with features) and it still has 43% charge. Much longer than my Garmin Vivoactive3 (which will now be my backup). Lack of touchscreen kinda threw me initially, but got used to not having it very quickly. I got this as all-day epic MTB rides would exceed capability/battery of Vivoactive3, but this Fenix6 watch should be able to handle tracking all day MTB-rides no problem. And looks so so nice! Very happy!
I previously had a forerunner and was able to make it work for me really well. Unfortunately it died. After a year or so I finally got the fenix 6s, and thus far its been great. I'm still working on customizing it to my liking, but it's easy to work with. I think the garmin connect updates have all been steps in a positive direction. And the additional features of the watch are pretty fun for a data nerd like myself. It pairs well with my sleep app and makes it easy to track and log my daily 'health' in a variety of ways. I'd like to see a few more garmin connect updates, particularly related to generating a functional training log for athletes/coaches to analyze. But not many workout apps I've tried do a good job on that front. In any case, I'm impressed. Battery life has been excellent. The wrist HR monitor is about like any other watch, not really reliable, particularly for exercise. But I don't knock the product for that. If you want that data it's pretty much an absolute necessity to have a chest strap of some kind. The price is a bit steep, but hopefully it will continue to last and make it worth the purchase.
Upgraded from the forerunner 245 music as I could not pass up the great deal. I have been using this watch almost daily to record activity and I have only had to charge it twice since purchasing it (over 3 weeks ago). Took me a day or so to get used to the bigger screen but now that I am adjusted, the extra screen real estate is spectacular. The larger screen is especially useful for all the additional data fields you can add to the activity screens. I am a sucker for data and love all the extra features that come with this watch such as sleep scores, HRV, ambient temp etc. I have also recently got into triathlons and used the multisport activity tracking a few times. I've had the watch for about 9 months now and wish I had of just gotten a samsung smart watch but here are all the reasons I'm disappointed in this overpriced piece of junk. Most of the monitoring features are rubbish, the heart rate monitor just doesn't work during any physical training half the time it stays at my resting HR or it just doesn't read anything. The oxometer constantly says 95% regardless of what I do which I tested against multiple finger oxometers which showed 99-100% When swimming laps it jumps back and fourth constantly one minute it will say I've done 950 metres then I'll do another lap and it says I've only done 900 metres. The gas and maps take an excessive amount of time to load 20+minutes in most instances regardless of where I am. It refuses to connect to my new Samsung s21 ultra Evan after disconnecting my old phone and wasting hours trying to troubleshoot it. Then it randomly decided for weeks that the battery didn't want to last longer then 6 hours after a full charge making the watch a great decoration for my PowerPoint. Finally Garmin support are just unhelpful simply stating I should restart it or update it like I haven't tried that already multiple times. For the price I just expected it to work better, this is the first and last garmin product I'll buy.
