Garmin Golf Navi GPS Approach S62 White 010-02200-21

I was torn between the s62 and the epix when picking a golf watch. I really wanted to go with the epix because of that amoled screen but the price was a bit much. After all it seemed that a lot of the extra features (gps mapping, activity list, health features) I wasn’t really going to use so I went with the s62. Come to find out after connecting it to the Garmin app that the s62 does have quite a bit of health tracking features like sleep analysis, body battery, multiple activities to track and a lot more. Sure the activity list isn’t as extensive as the epix but will cover everything I do (weight training, running, yoga etc).As far as the golf features I’m still getting used to the bells and whistles. I don’t like slow play and it seems like until I get the hang of the patterns needed to fully take advantage of the golf features it’s slowing me down a bit. I’m confident I’ll get the hang of it though. I also recently got the ct10 sensors so we’ll see how that goes. So far I’m very happy that what I thought was going to be my dedicated golf only watch is actually that plus a very solid fitness tracker. The amoled screen would’ve been nice but that comes at a hefty battery price as well as monetary. Plus the s62 in the outdoor sun really looks great. Which is where I’ll primarily be using it. Overall I’m very happy. The watch looks great, you can dress it up with different bands, it’s pretty light on my wrist and doesn’t really impede my swing like I thought it might. The only issue I have is depending on what golf glove I wear the watch can sometime interfere with the Velcro closure. I never noticed how some gloves have a lot of extra material at the wrist while some a more trim in that area. Still I’m loving it!

I am using watch! I don’t have enough rounds in to do virtual caddy.My number one concern is the watch does not pick up some of my swings to calculate distances!Couple of times I did 3/4 swing on club and it didn’t register as a shot! This means the shot prior measurement is not correct because it combines two shots into one distance.For what I paid for the watch I should NOT have to pay $299 more dollars for club grip sensor!The original cost of watch is substantial! So at this point I’m not pleased with the watch!Sometimes I have to punch a shot or take a 1/2 or 3/4 swing! If shot does not register because I didn’t take a full impact swing on ball, then my distance ratings will be off!There are many many great features to this watch.I will play more ... MoreI am using watch! I bought this to replace a previous Garmin model called Vivoactive which had golf among other sports tracking activities. I thought the S62 would be a big improvement. I haven't bought the tracking sensors so what this model can do is pretty limited. What's more, if often gives me bad yardages and takes me to the wrong hole. If on the wrong hole it takes time to get it on the right one and this slows the game and causes stress. It also has a habit of switching to meters and then it is hard to switch back to yards. I was hoping the watch would be more helpful defining yardages to landmarks, traps and doglegs, but it isn't helpful in most instances.
