Amazing Fitness Watch

There was a bit of a learning curve but nothing major. I really love the focus on my fitness and health instead of it being an extension of my phone on my wrist. I still get the notifications I care about: text, phone calls, & any app notificationsI approve. I really love the outdoor GPS features and opportunity to use a trainer for a race is desired. There are many features I have not used yet, but am excited to! Finally, I love the look of this watch. I wanted something that I could wear for workouts but also to work. Better than the Venu, and it was Great

Bought the Venu as a smartwatch and was very happy with it. Intuitive, easy to understand, and very useful for running as well as all around information. The unlimited clock faces one can download really offer loads of additional smart watch information. So this Venu 2 Plus is all that and much more. The amoled screen is much brighter, and there are more apps to choose from, to include an ecg monitor. I can now receive phone calls from my wrist, as well. This Venu 2 plus is an upgraded, more polished update/upgrade from the Venu, and it can hold its own against any smartwatch on the market. Because it's a Garmin, it's also an excellent fitness watch. Its fitness options are almost endless. Virtually any kind/type of health or fitness information is at wrist's length.

Disappointed App Bluetooth Nice watch design

First let's start off positive, nice watch and great features. Unfortunately, it is a huge let down and very useless without app or Bluetooth connection. I don't know if the app needs improvement or the watch features need to work more independently from the app. Since purchasing at least 1-2 times a week I have to resync the watch because it drops from showing in the app. It has been so annoying that I abandoned using the watch after searching for solutions. I have another smartwatch I had for years that as soon as I charge the battery it connects to Bluetooth and I don't wear it anymore but it is still reliable while working with every phone I purchased over the years. I hoped that the app would get an update that would fix the problem but so far nope. I love Garmin products but this watch experience is a bust with nice features that are useless without a steady connection to the app. I know I'm not alone since most of the tricks to troubleshoot came from others online with the same issue. If it ever consistently works I will happily update my review.

Game changer in my routine. 5 stars

Love my Garmin Venu 2 Plus (and the Connect app). My only comparison is my wife has a Samsung watch and I think my Venu 2 Plus is superior in dozens of ways. Imo one of the best things is the battery life; I can charge it from like 5% up to 100% in no time and then go 4+ days on that charge and that's with Bluetooth on 24/7, display brightness high, etc. Display and watch face options and customization are extensive and easy. You can track anything and everything you want to on this thing and can customize it to focus on KPIs and data that are important to you. I mean it. A lot of interesting features and apps; I just took an ECG reading. Oh, and it looks cool as a watch with a classic kind of design. It's now a key part of my daily routine. I track my hydration with simple touch to log an 8oz drink, I track my daily weigh in, I watch my sleep patterns and how that's impacting everything, I watch my heart data and look for abnormalities of any kind, I teach stationary cycling routine (with Bluetooth connection to my bike.. sweet), walking with my wife, weight training, and swimming. 5 stars from me.

I have my new watch for about 2 weeks and I'm very happy with it. I changed the watch from Honor Magic Watch 2, which I really liked for a long time, but the GPS locating stopped working and it was showing complete nonsense. So I was trying to find something similar, that would have same features, and this Garmin watch is beyond my expectations. It has many really fun features, it looks really good on the hand, I can handle having it during the night also (which I couldn't handle with my previous watch), I can barely feel the watch on my wrist, the display and the animations on the display are pretty cool. Fun for sports activities, but also good for calling and seeing indications from my phone.

Great everyday smart watch with logical layout

I have used Garmin running watches for since 2006 with the forerunner 205. Now that I am older, with less focus on running and running slower and shorter distances I looked for a smart watch which supported running, but also gave me more health monitoring features and everyday functions. The Venu 2 Plus has met or exceeded my expectations. Interface with Android phone works seamlessly. Many user adjustable features. Battery life is about a week when using the GPS for about 40 minutes a day to run or walk. Heart rate monitoring is much more accurate than older wrist monitors. Glances screen is editable as to what I want to see the data I want to see with just a swipe of the screen. Touch interface works well. The only negative I have experienced is when using for phone calls the speaker does not get very loud, but is fine with earbuds in. I added a screen protector, which does not interfere with the watch operation. Overall very happy

Great features for health, good battery life

This is my first smart watch. I bought it because I was diagnosed with AFib recently and I have not been sleeping well. I can easily monitor my heart rate using many of the available watch faces plus the phone app. Also, the ECG feature, which doesn’t always work because of poor recording, is very quick (30 seconds) and can be downloaded as a PDF. The daily sleep report is incredibly detailed, breaking out total sleep time, REM, deep sleep, light sleep and awake time. This has confirmed what I suspected and has prompted me to get help. I also appreciate the prompts to get moving, and the goals set for things like steps, floors and calories. The ability to get weather is great also. I may want to see all notifications on my phone but just some of them on my watch.Overall, i would give a 95 over 100 to this smartwatch.

I have been a lifelong Fitbit user. Fitbit was bought by Google and decided to discontinue many of their heavily used features, like challenges. Fitbit products never really had a long lifespan, but the challenges kept my friend/family group coming back. Due to this lack of listening to the community, swaths of people left Fitbit recently in search of other non Google products. iPhone is mediocre at best. I especially hate that I can’t customize notifications based on apps like I could on my Apple Watch. The BPM reader is definitely out of whack, which I’ve confirmed based on other user reviews. I love the overall design BUT my skin doesn’t lie when it comes to quality material. The metal on the 2 bands which I purchased from Garmin are most certainly brushed with a cheap metal coating, if not made from cheap materials altogether. I get a rash up my forearm starting right where the metal prongs are every time I wear it now. I spent around $600 altogether and I can barely wear the watch lol. Such a joke thinking you’re buying quality nowadays.. If you thought Garmin wasn’t cutting corners, think again! Im only relieved that I wanted to try ... MoreiPhone is mediocre at best.
