But in Garmin Express, you will struggle for at least 15 minutes for it to acknowledge you have connected your watch, wait 45 minutes just so it will let you select which folder to find your music in--during which the Express will terminate unexpectedly, requiring your to start over for another 45 minutes--then wait 30 minutes for it to search your iTunes media folder for songs, playlists, and audiobooks only for it say it found no playlists.So after more than 2 hours per attempt, times many MANY attempts, you still won't have any music loaded on the watch.For these reasons, my daughter has never even gotten to point 4.I have other watches, like my Garmin Instinct, that acquire GPS quickly and easily. And I'm using a new computer with plenty of resources. Even if there IS some way to be more patient, to persevere through these challenges, a watch that requires this level of patience and perseverance is NOT a usable watch!

I was replacing a Garmin Vivosport, with this watch. I really liked my original watch, but it was discontinued. This was considered (on the Garmin website) to be entry level of the Gatmin’s devices with GPS functions. This has so many great functions, that I am uncertain as to the reasoning to go with a higher priced option. I like the size; light, thin and is nice looking. This has running, biking (indoors and outside), weight lifting, and rowing (again indoor rowing and water rowing. Has all health options you would want.

Review is early. Had Garmin venu square music for 4 days. Amazon music was easy upload. Watched Utube video for best understanding of watch. Believe I will be extremely happy once I learn all features. At 1st, font seemed small, I was considering a return, but it very easy to customize the watch face to larger readable font. Battery life is no as long as stated. Seems I will need to charge daily. I only listen to music when running, which is 1 to 2 hrs, 3 times a week. Overall Very Satisfied for 4 days.
I have had this for about a month now and I must say it is everything that I wanted but does fall short for what I really wanted. I wanted a smartwatch that would allow me to download music so I could listen to music while I ran, track my runs, and just give me plain old notifications from my phone. This watch does all of this. Maybe not great but good enough. The music playing is perfectly fine. The tracking is okay. I think this might be more on Garmins end than the watch (Can't troubleshoot with another watch because I just have this one) or even that I am in a forested area but the GPS is not great. It misses about 0.1-0.25miles per mile ran. So for a 1 mile loop it'll show up as 0.75 to 0.9 miles ran. It can be a little frustrating but it doesn't bother me that ... Their only suggestion was that I was not using an 'approved headset', but as users were raising issues even if they did, I looked further and finally found someone who described getting headphones paired after doing a system reset on the watch. I did this, and immediately was able to pair the headphones. Result.However, the app no longer recognised the watch, and refused to pair, even when starting from scratch, uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I finally overcame the problem and got it paired, but through trial and error, and crashing the app installation over and over.It looks like a problem with second / subsequent pairings on the Bluetooth.Finally, I thought the Garmin Pay function would be useful as I wasn't going to be carrying my phone, but it only works with a very short list of banks in the UK. So if you're with Santander and Starling you'll be fine, but not the big banks.Overall, one star for ease of set up, five stars for the product in use

The text is small and cannot be adjusted.The Venu does is supposed to record activities. The only activities I use regularly are walking and swimming. I would prefer to use a hiking activity option, however, this does not exist on this watch.I have tried to use the walking activity several times (my husband has also tried to use it, his view is that it is, "fundamentally flawed"). Pointless, as you need to connect it to your phone anyway, why not just listen via your phone???Overall if you want a fashion / sport watch this might be for you.If you want a fitness watch, try Fitbit. I've gone back to my old one, it still works.

Pros: the size of the watch is great. It's light and comfortable. For some, they would like that it looks like an Apple watch (I don't particularly care about that)Cons: the watch face is triggered by movement and is either impossible to get to turn on despite shaking my wrist and bringing it up and down (i.e. it's useless as a watch with which to tell time!) or you can change the settings and it's slightly better but then it is on more often so it drains the battery in a day. That's not great when I'm on a several hour hike and still want to see the time or use my watch for the rest of the day. The buttons on the side are continually triggered by my dog's leash on my wrist so my dog is either turning on the GPS or setting my laps. It's extremely frustrating.
This is a great product to help you stay on track with improving or starting off a fitness routine! It helps you track your daily steps and water intake! You cal also set daily and weekly goals. If you're trying to lose weight you can also link this to My Fitness pal so that your calories intake and exercise can be summed together and this can help you track your progress vs your target. It's quite straightforward to use even without reading the basic instruction booklet that comes with it. Battery lasts several days, I charge mine in average once every 5 to 7 days depending on how much I use it. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase and do recommend this product!
