This is the second VivoFit JR3 we have purchased from Rebel Sport. We purchased the first for my eldest son's 6th birthday. Now it's time to repeat the process for our younger son's birthday. We have had great success using the step counter and marvel game rewards to get the kids out and about, whether swimming, walking or riding, they love checking in afterwards to see how many steps have taken. Also worth noting that we had a fault with the first watch and I called Garmin directly. They were incredible and replaced the watch straight away. Very impressed, that why we purchased another for our other child.

Our daughter loved this watch, but the inner watch part repeatedly popped out of the band and our daughter soon stopped wearing it out of the house - defeating the point of what it's advertised to do. The band wasn't damaged and I've heard from others now that they have had similar experiences. We only had the watch to return to the shop because a kind individual found the inner component and contacted us. The ability to program your contact details onto the watch was a feature that worked for us in this case. It is the only product I have ever had to return to JB and I appreciate the Nunawading store's no-fuss willingness to refund us. If the watch is for activity tracking, Garmin needs to reconsider the design of its bands.

I bought this for my 5yo daughter for Christmas and she absolutely LOVES it! She hasn’t taken it off since she got it! She is enjoying learning how to read the time and reaching daily steps goals. The battery in it lasts for 12 months so no need to worry about charging it regularly like other Garmin watches. We have synced it to include chores (eg. make bed, brush teeth, pick up toys etc) which she gets tokens for once she completes a task, once she reaches a certain amount of tokens (set by an adult) she gets a reward eg. Pocket money or buy something at the shops. I’ve never seen her more motivated to do her daily chores! 5 stars, I would highly recommend this watch.

It’s a great little watch / fitness tracker / tool to keep kids engaged. Also looks really nice.The daily step and activity goals works well and the associated ‘game’ that gets unlocked as activity goals are met is a good concept.I also like the chores you can build in with the coins earned unlocking rewards, all done through the easy to use app and watch.Only downside is the screen isn’t very bright when you press it to light up, but in normal light it’s fine. The strap could be a bit shorter too, my daughter is 6 and uses the tightest setting and it’s still not tight, but it’s pretty much okay for her.

To get a new set of adventures I'd have to buy a new band (strap) in red or black which would unlock the Avengers adventures. A new band costs 40 euro including delivery and VAT. But the main problem is that the watch stopped working. It started with the watch not keeping the time and then the battery died, so we changed the battery to the recommended one. However after a few days the time kept lagging behind again and when that happens the watch doesn't count steps or measures the sleep. I changed the battery again (both were high quality branded batteries), but after a week the same happened. I tried a few troubleshooting steps that I found online, but it just got worse to a point that the watch is now rendered completely useless. I've been in touch with Garmin support for 2 weeks, sent them a few details, but so far I'm none the wiser. While researching online about this issue I realised I'm not the only one facing it.

It's very kid friendly and the app is very parent friendly. I assigned chores for them to do everyday and they get such satisfaction hearing the coins make sounds when I check off the chore. I was afraid I'd have to sync the watch each time they completed a chore but since it's Bluetooth it syncs automatically when it's within range of my phone. Having the ability to create rewards tied to the chores is nice too. The fact that chores and rewards have prepopulated options and the ability to create your own is really nice too. We bought this for our 7 year old daughter and we were so disappointed with it. Both myself and my husband have garmin watches and its hard to believe that they produce this poor quality product for our kids. The watch face kept falling out and finally it was lost 6 minths after we bought it. It can't be charged so would have eventually stopped working. Back Light doesn't stay on for long enough making it hard to see. It connected to my phone and a lot of the games were on my phone and not on the watch which is stupid as then your child wants to be on your phone which we don't do. Overall save your money and buy something else
Bought this watch for my daughters 8th birthday last year. Battery lasts a year, then you have to change it. As expected the battery ran out after 1 year, almost to the day. We followed instructions online but since we changed battery, the watch has been nothing but trouble. It now has the black screen of death and we have got to the stage where we're just going to throw it away and buy a fitbit. We hoped it would have lasted longer as we don't like adding to landfill. Until the battery ran out the watch was good, which is why we have given it 2 stars and not 1.
