Average performance / Good build quality

It seems to be a good quality build with good sensors as I did not notice any issues in reading vital signs and performance markers even with wet skin or while under intensive activity. Battery performance is quite bad. It lasts around 2 days if you enable some of the more interesting features like activity tracking so that it knows when you go to sleep (otherwise it doesn't) or if you use the connected GPS while running for example. Battery is extremely poor if you enable everything. Good part is that is charges quite fast. The watch itself is really nice but the digital screen becomes very hard to see in sunlight and completely disappears if you are using polarised glasses.

I’m glad I chose Garmin when I needed to replace my tracker. I was happy to hear that the battery would last up to 5 days, but decided to turn on the sleep tracking option - which brought that claim of 5 days between charges down to about 2. So that’s fine, I can charge it every couple days. I really like the look of an analog watch with the hidden screen. I do find that the screen sometimes doesn’t respond right away, especially if my hands are dirty, so turning off an alarm or looking at an alert or starting an activity isn’t always frustration free, but what do you want, if there were a single button I wouldn’t be able to dive with it on to check my spo2 and the like. No big deal. Overall, I’m very pleased with the purchase and the customer service - despite anything I’ve said, for the price point is it WAY better than what I switched from in almost every way. That almost is because on the other one I could reliably dismiss alarms when my hands are dirty, which is often.

Very confusing because it doesn’t work in all situations and I’m not sure the advantage of each way. Hiking in sparce GPS area (mountains) my vivosport did just fine, except I’d run out of battery before the hike was over. I like Garmin and expected more from this watch. I will be returning it if they’ll take it back. It’s taken me awhile to try it out in different situations to see if my problems were human error.

Fantastic tracker
16 February 2023

Bought this the other day. Just love it. It's a watch, which I wanted, with the added features of a smart watch. After owning several Fitbit trackers, including Sense, I was never happy with them. They never tracked sleep or heart rate very well. This Garmin Vivomove sport is sensational. Does everything I wanted it to, shows sleep, heart rate, breathing, messages, calls, weather, absolutely everything. Plus, when you tap it, the hands move out of the way. The Garmin connect app is super easy to use and shows everything you need. So glad I bought this. Even bought one in black for my child after they saw mine.

Garmin make this So frustrating!
16 June 2022

The watch is great so far - an awesome example of minimalistic design with great features. I wanted a classic looking watch that can help with fitness and I thought I had found it with the vivomove sport. However the frustrations and roadblocks that Garmin put in the way makes me unable to recommend ANY Garmin to my friends.No1 -you have to have the latest phone - or else garmin connect app wont download, so I cant use my phone with this new watch, and there goes half of the reasons why I bought it. I have to connect to my Ipad just to get it to work.No2 Accessories - Garmin make a million different bands for all their models, except I am restricted to a 20mm size if I want it to fit on my watch - 20mm is too small, just give me an extra 2mm.No3 - I cant find ... MoreThe watch is great so far - an awesome example of minimalistic design with great features. Great Watch; Scratches Readily

This watch is beautiful and functional. Absolutely sleek and stunning out the box.It is exactly what I expected, minus the scratch-resistance of the screen.Within a couple of days of normal wear, the watch scratched. I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary -- just walking in the neighbourhood, going to the gym, working from home. I have no idea what is scratching it. Maybe my wrist moves against my headboard while I sleep with it on?Within a week, the watch looked like I had owned it for a few years. I'm not exaggerating here -- the screen has so many scratches on it, I am astonished. I can't even return it :-(Be aware, and buy a screen protector from amazon. Pros: Love it as a watch - the colour, the look, the design, the options for sports etc. Was everything I wanted.Cons: Charging. What a nightmare. Touch and go. Literally had this 6 weeks and want to chuck it out of the window. Sometimes it charges. most times I have to turn the charger around even though it shouldn't matter which way up it is. Even then it may charge it may not. During which time the hands go mental and I am constantly resetting them. On occasion during charging it actually drains the battery. Sometimes I think it's charging and it isn't and so begins the faff of turning the charger around hammering on the front of the screen to bring up the menu to see if it might deign to charge this time or not. Then it drained every day until I switched off almost everything, even now I take it off charge and it immediately loses 2%. Makes no sense at all.

Pretty disappointed

I had the choice between Garmin and Fitbit, and in all honesty, I wish I chose Fitbit. The first time I wore the watch out in public, only 1 week after I got it, the screen got scratched. I was not impressed as all I was doing was sitting at a table. I'm supposed to wear this watch all the time, and it's not fit for purpose in my eyes if it scratches so easily (the scratch is above the digital display so is hard to see now). When I looked this up, it's not covered by Garmin, so now I'm stuck with a scratched watch face. The next disappointment is that is doesn't seem to measure my distances or steps properly - I always walk with my husband, and at the end of our morning walk he has always completed much more than me, even though we are the same height and walk at ... MoreI had the choice between Garmin and Fitbit, and in all honesty, I wish I chose Fitbit. The first time I wore the watch out in public, only 1 week after I got it, the screen got scratched. I own several Garmin products and I've always been happy with the performance, price and features. However, this Vivosport Move is a complete let down. It does pretty much everything expected of it, it tells the time, tracks steps, tracks sleep, it even tracks heart rate and respiration rate. When used in conjunction with my smartphone GPS it will track activities for upload to pretty much any fitness app such as Strava or Relive. So far, So good! Garmin claim a battery life up to five days, I don't know how they came up with that figure, when I first started using the device I was getting battery life of around three days, I thought that might because it was new and I was interacting with it more than might be expected so I expected an improvement over time. Very good hybrid watch
29 August 2022

Love my Vivomove Sport watch. It is very lightweight and comfortable to wear that you forget you are wearing a watch. I have setup without too many features turned-on and so I get 7 to 8 days of battery life. The Connect app gives an incredible amount of data. In the interest of full disclosure I must sat that the first Vivomove Sport that I purchased had many Bluetooth connectivity issues. Garmin support was excellent and when their troubleshooting efforts did not fix the issues, they promptly sent a new watch to replace my faulty one. The new watch has been functioning flawlessly and I am very happy.
