I previously bleached my hair to lift it from a 6 ontop with balayage ends which turned orange! Then applied the garnier nutrisse number 9, which left me with alot of golden tones!Decided to bite the bullet and use a number 8, eventually decided to purchase this new 8.11 colour and its amazing!!Lifted all of the yellow , brassiness and golden tones right out of my hair. My hair is now a beautiful light blonde and not dark at all. Would highly recommend to anyone.I applied to the roots first for 25 mins then the ends for 10 minutes.Perfect! My new go to colour

Disappointing.

I won't be using again, sorry Garnier!

I bought this a week ago because I fancied a change of hair colour, my natural hair being a light brown/dark blonde, with some cool and warm undertones, depending on weather etc... I just wanted a dark brown like it is on the box, and that's how it turned out initially. I was surprised how red toned the dye actually was in its liquid form and unfortunately this passed on to the finished result. So my roots are quite auburn in the light, which i didn't want - thus I had to buy a blue toner in hopes of eradicating this. But alas, i've decided to just go to the salon and get it sorted out as it was quite patchy too and also I think the dye has been quite harsh on my hair, chemically. Fabulous Colour
27 February 2022

I've been a seasoned hair dyer for three decades. I've been platinum blonde, to ruby red over the years. I stopped dying my hair in lockdown, to give it a chance to grow out naturally, and recently decided my natural dark blonde hair needed a pick me up. I settled on this colour, as I wanted a warmish, but lightly ashy hue, with a brighter blonde, but not extreme blonding. This dye worked brilliantly. I deliberately didn't dye the first four or so inches of my roots, as I wanted to create an ombré colour style. I still had old dye on my mid lengths and ends from my previous dyes 18 months ago (I have mid length, below shoulders, long hair). This dye blended so well. It's given me a lovely lighter natural looking blonde, that blends with my natural dark blonde roots, and doesn't look like a 'colour block'. Easy to prepare and easy to use. Not too 'drippy', so no splashes of dye on the floor or walls. I really recommend this colour and brand. For reference, I'm 44, with naturally wavy, but very fine hair, and have pale skin, with a rosy cheek glow.

Hair now a little straw-like

For 8.13 Medium Ash BlondeMy hair is naturally dark blonde and I usually use Clairol Nice 'N Easy in Medium Ash Blonde. With the Garnier, I can see immediately that around the roots the colour is almost heading into orangey territory when I'm in natural light. I'm used to more ashy tones with the Clairol, so I'm a bit worried that as the colour fades or washes out I might find that my long hair turns an unbecoming shade of something that simply ain't medium ash blonde. Also, this has been the most watery colour I've used in a long time. However, I did add about 10ml of Cureplex, which might be responsible. Unfortunately, it left my hair feeling like straw -- something I never get with the Clairol conditioner. Hopefully as it dries it won't feel so bad. I'm hesitant to use the hairdryer as I'm already prone to lots of frizz and breakage.I used this colour as I've had it in the cupboard for a while and didn't want to be wasteful. I'd never get my hair coloured by a hairdresser, so I'm comfortable with home hair dyeing and have had many good and bad outcomes. I'm just a little disappointed in this Garnier Nutrisse experience and can't imagine I'd buy it again. Hope you have better luck -- I know everyone's hair is different. :)

I've been using this product since 2018 with amazing results. I had damaged hair from bleach and was trying to grow it and make it healthy.I used this shade and it turned out really nice! Yes it is darker than the box looks, but all box dye makes your ends look darker after time, that's just the way it works. I only do my roots now, I don't have to pull it down to the ends. I have been consistent and only used this same shade every single time, and have amazing results. People still compliment my hair, it's shiny and very long now. I recently got highlights professionally and my hairstylist just told me to continue using this shade on my roots until I need new highlights. They still show through and added some dimension.Highly recommend this shade if you will be ... MoreI've been using this product since 2018 with amazing results. I had been searching for a iced coffee/ chocolate colour for a little while. Each time i was in store, the colour of this one took my fancy. I ended up getting it and using it over medium auburn/ golden hair. People don’t tend to say what their base colour was so just for insight, mine was fifty shades of auburn. Dark reds, light oranges. After using a colour remover it went many different colours. This product came out way darker than I had anticipated. Please remember that everybody’s hair will take to hair dye differently so my results won’t be the same as yours. It turned out much cooler than I expected too. Not really what I was hoping for but other than the hot roots, it did cover all my many shades of red. There isn’t any patchiness. Oh and just a side note it is very thick! It doesn’t drip which is good but doesn’t go a very long way. My hair is just below shoulders and I could’ve done with three bottles instead of two

I don't understand the hype with this colour. And this brand! I only have shoulder length hair and needed 2 bottles to fully saturate my hair. My hair to begin with was all one solid light auburn colour. This hair dye made my hair patchy. My roots went red/purple the mids went sort of similar to the box and the ends went dark blonde! On top of the horrific smell I couldn't breathe. It made my eyes water like crazy. It also made my hair extensions an odd purple colour too! I've wasted money now having to spend more to correct this. It might work out for some people, but im staying far away from this range from now on. So natural looking
12 August 2022

The results are just that... darkest brown! It almost looks black but isn't. Its a very rich dark brown with brown flex in it. It WILL come out black when you first use it. This is normal and will fade after the first or second wash. It's so similar if not the exact same as my natural hair colour which is what I wanted to go back to after my hair had been colour treated and colour lifted. Highly recommend for those dyeing grays too as it gives 100% coverage. Also the nutrisse hair dyes are so gentle on the hair and scalp and don't smell nearly as potent as most other permanent box colours. You get a good size bottle of conditioner too which is also lovely. Give it a go!

Such a natural, long lasting colour
5 May 2022

After trying many different brands and types of home hair dye I now regularly use Garnier Nutrisse Crème permanent hair dye every 3 weeks to keep my hair looking amazing and could not live without it. This hair dye has excellent coverage and is a consistent colour whether it is colouring my natural dark hair or patches of very light greys, it leaves my hair incredibly shiny and is very natural-looking colour. I follow the instructions and leave on for extra 10 minutes to cover stubborn greys, and focus on my root growth, to avoid build-up of colour on the ends of the hair. The hair conditioner supplied with the dye is far to rich for my hair needs but I do use it now and again for a moisture boost. I use a mixing bowl and hair dye brush which I also bought from Superdrug when they were on special offer which makes the application much easier and more precise. My hairdresser says my hair is in fantastic condition and has passed on a tip of not using the full quantity when I am just covering my roots, so I now measure half the quantity out to mix together and keep the leftovers separate to use in 3 weeks’ time – which not only saves money but also saves lots of waste products going down the drain and more packing going in the recycling and bin.
