A good amount of natural actives but balanced out with nasty stuff like alcohols, silicone derivatives and of course dimethicone. I’d be ok with all of that that if there wasn’t for that awful glittery mica powder. After applying the product the whole face shines and sparkles like a disco ball. Not a great everyday look. I don’t know why garnier puts mica powder in their products, even those for the nighttime use. Makes no sense to me.

I was browsing reviews after my last re purchase of this item and wondered what people were talking about mentioning that there was a shimmer in this product.When I first purchased this product there was no shimmer in the solution, but my re purchase does now indeed have a shimmer in it and I think that’s a bad move, it has definitely defeated product performance in the sense that the fluid isn’t as smooth as it was to feel on the skin as the one without the shimmer, and it is just a completely unnecessary addition to what was a fantastic product.Garnier, if you’re reading this please take the shimmer out, or at least provide a non shimmer option the same as the original formula for those of us who don’t want it.

The sheet mask is a different review, but this serum definitely brightened my skin and has even had an effect on dark circles.The residue on skin can be a little too much but this is perfect for bed times, as a make up base in some instances, and for knocking around in the sunshine without an SPF foundation on, which was the main selling point for me on this product (that it has the SPF).Four days use in, my verdict is that this is a lovely product that I will use and buy again.

I looked into this a few months ago when I wanted to add vitamin c to my routine but held off on buying it as I received another vitamin c product as a gift. I didn’t realise that for some absurd reason they have added a glitter to it.This is really annoying as I don’t wear makeup every day and I don’t want to look like a teenager going to a disco. I’m also not convinced by the “glowy” claims. I’d say this is largely attributable to the shimmer & despite adding a pea-sized amount to my fairly dry skin, I feel its straddling the line between glowy and greasy. Good for the price. I use this each morning and put an SPF on over the top. It’s got quite a tacky finish texture so I think it would act as a good primer. Downside is it’s heavily fragranced which I think has caused me a little breakout. Possibly not suitable for sensitive skin. I’m persisting in the hopes it’s just a new product problem for me as other than this I do like it.
I usually avoid anything that claims to 'brighten skin' as it just means a red shiny face for me.....however this has been fine for my sensitive skin. Absorbs quickly and leaves a very nice subtle sheen, a bit like highlighter. Not sticky and easy to apply make up on top within a few minutes. Happy with it so far, 3 days in.
Disappointing as I have been using this along with the Garnier Vitamin C serum which I apply first before the cream. I have not noticed any difference to my dark spots. I actually have more freckles so I will need to go back to a SPF with UVA/UVB included in it. Its a cheap nice smelling winter moisturiser if it on a special at £6.00. I wouldn’t pay anymore than £6.00.
I am really impressed with this product. It’s not a sticky consistency like other vitamin C serums, it glides onto the skin and absorbs quickly. The added SPF is a game changer especially for the summer and this combo leaves my skin feeling protected & glowing!
I haven’t been using the product long enough to notice any significant change but I am confused why there is no mention in the description that this product has shimmer. It’s supposed to be a skincare product, not makeup. I guess it’s ok for days when you want to put makeup on top and this can create a nice glowy base. But on no-makeup days I really don’t like the fact I’m shimmering.No wonder the product claims to “brighten dull skin” … it’s a trick from all the glitter on your face!
When I bought this product, I was looking for a light moisturizer that I would want to use forever. It gives a little shine to your face after applying it. But then it rolls off your face. I guess it is not for my skin, it did not seep into the skin, the product turns into tiny balls. Even though I don't do my makeup. So I would not recommend this product
