My car is dark grey outside & same colour seats inside. 2 Weeks after Install, On a 32o C day, the Camera Died. Tried Reset & turned on/off but not working. Returned to Supercheap, they were good to deal with & replaced it on the spot. Sadly, 3 Months later, this Cam also died. Returned to Supercheap, they sent it for Warranty repair. Returned to me with New Firmware & mounted in car 3rd time. (Days are now 18o C). Now it stopped working AGAIN ! This is a Disgusting Product, a waste of $250. But even worse, a Waste of my Time and wasted Installation cost. AVOID "GATOR" JUNK!

I purchased a GHDVR98W Dual Cam with GHWCUSB2. You cannot change the WiFi password on these models, which imposes security concerns. My son did a test on his phone, installed the app, connected using the WiFi default password, and format the SDCard in a couple of minutes. This is not good when in parking mode and with someone with a tech-head wiping all the evidence on the SDCard. We recently travelled to Kalbarri (6 hours north of Perth) for a week and were disappointed that the dashcam stopped recording after two days. This is not something anyone wants to see. I ended up returning this for a different brand.

The GHDVR82W was easy to install, the picture quality is fair and has a wider angle lens than most cams. It begins recording as soon as you start the vehicle and confirms it with a sound.It states that it operates in extreme temperatures however I am yet to test this claim. When it senses an incident it saves it in a separate video on the chip and also sends copy to your phone. Feature of taking a picture at any time by simply waving your hand near the dash feature, I cannot get it working. I've been very impressed with the product, it delivers everything it promised and more at a mid range price. Well worth paying a few more dollars than the cheaper options
I had one of these for a year, bought in February 2022, and frankly wouldn't recommend it. Video quality was acceptable, but that's about the only good thing about it. The mount was terrible, would constantly fall off from vibrations, and after a year of use I went to transfer it to another car to find that front of the barrel has melted, it now has trouble turning on. The app connection was atrocious, 20% of the time I could see the live view, every other aspect of their app didn't work including when trying to reset the device or format the SD card. This dash cam will do in a pinch but you might be better spending your money on something else
First unit had a faulty camera - got it replaced in store so thank you Supercheap for good DOA support.Second unit keeps "restore factory setting" so I can't retain personal settings like wifi password and clip times.I thought otherwise a good unit with great picture quality on both cameras despite issues above, but now find the dodgy no-name SD card is losing files before my eyes even on other devices - recommend replacing straight away.Mixed feelings...
Don't buy this product. I have mine replaced 2x under warranty within the first month I have connectivity issue and it won't record no matter what reset you do on both device and app. And after they replaced it with just the main camera only it lasted up to now for about 7months and for the 3rd time under warranty they've replaced it again because the device housing couldn't stand the harsh weather here in Darwin and it melted/deformed the main camera barrel. And now that they've replaced it with both front and rear camera only the front one works and the moment you switched it to back camera it glitched the whole image and crashed the app. Take note every details on the instruction manual on how to operate it properly has been followed step by step. We bought this camera along with the hardwire kit. Only 2 months after purchasing a new car and getting this installed someone did a hit and run in the carpark between 7-7:30pm, I only noticed the damage in the daylight the next day at 9am. I was confident we could catch the culprits as it was all on camera - or so we thought! The camera card would only store footage for 12 hours, so there was nothing showing before 9pm!!! I called Gator twice for support who never returned my calls and emailed 3 times and not once did they reply. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY I have had to pay $1000 excess useless piece of equipment
Product has good potential, however it is plagued with software issues.Tested on multiple phones and cannot get the dash cam to record continuously. App is very glitchy, photo capture works when it wants to, cannot download any videos it manages to record, microphone turns off for no reason, the list goes on...Gave the product the benefit of the doubt, installed, hard wired and set up professionally. Supercheap have to think about how they're going to sell a product that cannot perform basic functions it is designed to do.
The camera is great. Plenty of cable to connect up the rear camera. Excelkent picture quality. The feature that saves video immediately if you wave your hand under the camera is great. On the downside I had to buy another kit to connect the camera up to the fuse box in order to use the parking mode. Connection to my phone via WiFi to watch and save videos is great but unfortunately it stops my phone from connecting to mobile data whenever I WiFi onto the dashcam. That's a real pain which hopefully I can find a solution to.
