I have a hiatus hernia & am on prescription medicine to help control reflux. However I occasionally need top ups & this hits the spot perfectly. Have been taking now and again for over 20 years as first advised to do so when pregnant & this has always been constantly good & a real bringer of relief from heart burn. Highly recommend.

Due to rapid increases in imported Gaviscon Advance from the UK via Amazon, I decided to try offerings from Australia. Could not find Gaviscon Advance but found Gaviscon Aniseed from Pharmacy Online which contains half the amount of sodium alginate per teaspoon. It delivered at a savings over the UK product even if you use twice the amount to deliver the same dose of alginate. I have started using it every other day interspersed with Gaviscon Advance and so far no problems.

For me, Gaviscon is the best antacid product. I sometimes suffer from indigestion and find Gaviscon settles the problem immediately.

Well known brand purchase via Boots. Occasional use, bought as household stock item. Peppermint which aids digestion.
Helped me until I discovered the actual cause of my reflux - please investigate low stomach acid, PPIs will be the opposite of helpful. A few days of HCL with betaine supplement cleared up months of reflux for me.
This is the best product Ive tried for reducing symptoms of heartburn and I unhesitatingly recommend it. I adore the taste of aniseed so this is perfect for me, however as unable to obtain at the moment Im giving the mint flavour a try. Fabulous product, desperately hoping for more stock to become available.
When I first bought this, advised by the Doctor, to control acid reflux, it was ?4.50 for a 600ml bottle and it was very effective and the liquid quite thick. Now some years later it is double the price. It is also now a thin watered down consistency. Because of this it is not as effective in use and I have to take twice as much to be any use at all. Once again greed is rearing its ugly face in our manufacturing industry
