Does the job I bought it for.

It takes some getting used to if you're like me and have used click style torque wrenches for 20 years. That said, auto makers are now engineering more torque to angle fasteners than ever before and this tool is pretty much a must have if you do timing chain sets on Ford 3.5 and 3.7 engines. I knocked off a star because the design could use a more incremental tactical vibration/beep when getting close the desired torque/angle. The design relies too heavily on the visual screen and we aren't working on grandad's wide open Chevrolet anymore. Modern cars pack five pounds of pig into a two pound sack where you're lucky if you can see your fingers, let alone an LCD screen. All and all, I'd buy it again and let the younger folks take out mortgages for Snap-On.

I returned tons of "precision"torque wrenches because they were off by to much. This one is spot-on. I work on my motorcycles and very often on my buddies bikes as well. Torque specifications are much lower then in the auto-world and precision is key for a safe ride. Imagine the brake lever falling off, if not torqued enough, or not releasing the brake if torqued to strong (just an example)... Forget everything which is sold for less then $150 in the 2-30 Nm, it will be a waste of time or a hazard. There are different high end options out there, and this is one of them. Also, for what it does, it does NOT brake the bank - actually it's cheap compared to similar precision wrenches.

I will start with what i don't like, I am very old school, I still like the click type, its distinct and noticeable, you got to be so out of it to over shoot the torque setting. The new digital ones, yes it vibrates, yes LCD screen changes color, but the vibration is not as noticeable, ( too soft ), yes it beeps, if your working environment is not quite, you are likely to miss the beep, and could lead over torque, specially ones require lesser of torque.. this is the only complaint I have..for this matter its one star off... Here are the things I like I specially like the price, way cheaper compair to ones sell from tool truck.. I like the accuracy of this tool, along with the flex head. I like it can do all the conversion from ft lb to inch lb to Nm, of course within the minimum and maximum capacity of the torque wrench. I like it degree setting is also be able to achieve by few press of buttons. I also like It comes with a nice storage box, I take battery out each time I using it for that day.. Over all I like it.

Its got a nice feel, seems accurate. But the description made it seem like the handle telescopes. It does not. And you have to hold the power button excessively long. When doing angles, the reset is very slow unless you hit clear between readings. Fast resetting when doing torque. lots of options on different units of torque. I wish it went a little lower and higher, but then just gotta break out the 3/4 or 3/8 torque wrench. Not quite as good as snap on but a lot cheaper

Its well worth more than the $200 price tag just for the angle and flex head features. I purchased the 1/2 model, and its long, but not awkward. It lets you reset while still retaining the current angle, its perfect for inside engine bays that will not would allow you to get one pull of 90 degrees, or so. You can do multiple pulls, and it adds then saves them even when hitting the bolt from different angles. I scribed all my bolts, and purposely put this tool in awkward situations. All my bolts are dead on at a final pass of 70 degrees. Has a ton of alerts and a very accurate LCD to let you know where the degree is. Handle vibrates, the screen flashes, and the buzzer is very noticeable. Compared to my snap on, this is light years ahead. More teeth than snap-on and just as accurate. Just saying. The other guys at work only use snap-on but after using their tools and using gearwrench, I was insulted that I ever bought anything from snap-on.

Not impressed. Digital display fades in heat. 90degree day and by the time I finished torquing intake manifold the LCD had faded to nothing. If I can work in the temperature my tools should be able to.

This torque wrench is awesome, made rebuilding a Subaru engine so much easier. For any application requiring torque to angle specs this wrench makes it a breeze. The controls are simple to learn and will have you up and running in minutes. It is a robust design and the flex head is wonderful in tight spaces. I originally wanted the 3/8 size but hard a hard time finding one so I got the bigger 1/2. I just use my old torque wrench for settings less than 20 ft lbs. It being a precision instrument with electronics I would say keep it dry and in a good environment to make it last for years. Also take out the batteries if left unused for a long time as a leaking battery could cause damage.

Yeah this thing is weird, one second it is great and then the next bolt I go to torque it randomly shuts its self off and then I have to turn it back on and reset the torque. I'm using it the correct way as stated in the manual and it still randomly shuts off while torquing. I should have just bought the snap on that goes to 300 ftlbs instead. If it didn't have this problem I would say it is the same quality at half the cost - but that is not the case.
