HAD TO PICK UP WRENCHES FROM YOUR CRYSTAL RIVER STORE. THE METRIC ONES WERE HARDER TO GET. THEY ARE JUST AS NICE AS THE SAE ONES. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

First I have to say that my first set was defective, one of the C-clips that holds the ratcheting part in had popped out and I was unable to get it back in, exchange process through Home Essentials Direct was quick and painless. As for the tools, I don't think I could live without them after having used them. I recently installed coilovers, a rear sway bar and camber arms in my car and these were invaluable. They are particularly useful in very tight spaces where a ratchet would never fit, and for putting nuts on very long bolts or studs where all but the deepest sockets wouldn't be able to work. In these instances you would normally be stuck using a normal wrench, these make the work so much faster. I have been gradually surprising him with tools that he needs as I can afford them. This set is very nice and sturdy. When I gave them to him for Christmas he was very pleasantly surprised and has told me several times how much he appreciated them and how well they are working for him. He told me that several people at work often ask to use some of the larger wrenches in the set, and that they are fluid in their movement and very well working. Generally quite happy with these, and considering the price, they're excellent. The ratchet ends are tight, have a good feel in use, and fit well to standard sized fastener heads. Minor gripes: -The flats on the open ends are rougher than I would like to see, which may lead to premature wear in the coating at these high spots -The 13mm wrench open end is dented/dimpled after using it to counter-hold a nut while undoing the other side with a (manual, i.e. non-impact) ratchet. Still usable, but disappointing to see damage after just a couple of average uses

I bought this exact set about six years ago fully expecting to be disappointed with yet another gimmick...and have never been happier!The wrenches are thin compared to many others I've used, though surprisingly comfortable in use. I see the slim profile as a testimony to good steel used in their construction and appreciate the light weight when hauling them in a mobile case. They've been used for auto repair, daily professional bicycle repair and even construction, by both myself and co-workers and they've never let me down. I was expecting to replace at least one, but nope, never a failure. Great job GearWrench!

I opened the wrench set from its plastic cellophane and most of the wrenches have grease on them and a few ratcheting mechanisms are sticking. Obviously been used before and returned when the job was done. I expect better when paying full price and paying for new.

Previously rated this set about 1 week ago. Same story now. I still have and like my set and bought this set at a great price for a friend who was wasting too much time with standard wrenches. As a professional, his time is valuable and he liked the set. Lots of similar sets available from Gear Wrench (manufacturer) so check out their online catalog.

This is the third GearWrench product I have bought on sale, and I got these for $39. I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy any of their products at full price. I haven't used them yet, but first thing I noticed upon opening them is that they need to work on a few things like quality control. I opened the packaging and pulled each wrench out and they are covered in smeared fingerprints. I guess I have the unrealistic expectation that the workers would wipe each wrench down with a lint-free cloth or something prior to putting them in the holder so that the chrome would be nice and shiny when they got to the customer. Oh well. I'll be wiping them down then putting a light coat of corrosion inhibitor on them prior to putting them in my toolbox.
