SINCE PURCHASING THIS GECKO PRODUCT WE HAVE SEEN A VERY SHARP DECLINE IN MOSQUITOS TO THE POINT WE CAN GO OUTSIDE WITHOUT BEING ATTACKED. BEST ZAPPER WE HAVE HAVE, THANKS GECKO.
Excellent little bug Zapper for around the campsite. The power cord is certainly long enough and the little cleaning brush is a bonus
We have a bad mosquito problem in our suburb so thought an insect zapper would help.This Gecko insect zapper did not catch One Single Mosquito in four nights of using it. We had the zapper within in a couple of meters of our seating and everyone was still getting bitte. Extremely disappointing product
There has been a fly buzzing furiously away in it for the past half hour because the zapper is not strong enough to kill it. It's driving me crazy and it's not even a really big fly. I am actually surprised there is a fly in it because most of the time the flies aren't really attracted to it - I seem to be killing more moths than anything else. I would pay extra and get a more powerful unit.
This caught a heap of bugs, which I guess is what you want.We used it outside, but in hindsight this is totally an indoor only product.It attracts everything,This was probably the second best purchase of our $500 BCF spree.
average quality using average uv florescent bulbs that are not in stock at time of the review. NOTE unit has a pressed steel element not coiled spring element shown in picture.unit had been used before it got to me as there were bugs in it (sales pitch?) and bulb did not turn on until i tapped the unit. took the bulb out and reinstalled may have solved this as its on now.
