Genaissance De La Mer The Serum Essence - 30ml

I can't say enough good things about Beauty Affairs. I've been a loyal customer now for about three years and can't fault their delivery - it feels like I get VIP Express Post when I just make a regular order. I (now) do a lot of online shopping across the board (clothes, shoes, beauty, etc.) and Beauty Affairs stand out from every other vendor I have shopped with throughout COVID as fast, reliable, and essentially flawless in their supply chain when even the previously-good-ones have slowly fallen victim throughout 2021 to COVID disruptions and delays. Whatever they're doing, it works! I will only shop elsewhere for beauty, cosmetics, and perfume on the odd occasion they don't stock a brand I want, but apart from that, I say: MECCA, who? Sephora, what? ^.^

I've shopped at Beauty Affairs for a few years now without a problem, however last week my package was stolen- at the fault of the courier. I purchased around $200+ of skincare and was completely devastated when it happened, as I didn't think I would be able to get it resent or refunded because it wasn't Beauty Affair’s fault. I contacted them and to my surprise, they immediately offered to resend or refund my purchase, not only that but they included a gift! I have never had such exceptional customer service from any other company in my whole life! I had a very good experience with Lorena from customer support. I was querying the cost of Youngblood mineral makeup on live chat (excellent product by the way) of which I had bought 2. The cost of the item displayed for sale appeared less than the final checkout price. It turned out the sale price was for a particular color but this was unclear on the page. Lorena looked into the discrepancy immediately and after explaining the reason, offed to give me a refund on that particular sale to compensate for the confusion. She was polite and considerate throughout. It’s good to know that such a fabulous Aussie company has such lovely staff!

But really I wanted to come here and give thanks and my 5 stars to Beauty Affairs! In this current climate (covid) it’s been tough.... I’m a mum of three with a small baby and a child with special needs who as anyone in NSW would know r home doing school.... shops aren’t open anyway and I have been in real need of a “glow up” Beauty Affairs helped me! How? First off, they have great customer service! They’re very friendly and get back to you straight away (given it is within working hours) the pack it and send it and I honestly receive it the next morning! Bottle design needs improvement

When you spend this much money for 1 oz, you'd expect a better designed pump dispenser to avoid any waste. The beginning and the end both are sort of wasteful. In the beginning, the serum is overfilled outside of the dispenser, so ended up everywhere on my hand not only just the finger tips; at the end, the serum at the bottom is no way to suck it up. Please do some research on Shisedo's pump dispenser or bottle design (guaranteed no waste). The package is gorgeous, but when I thought about part of my money was spent on the package, I actually don't like it. Decent product but poor packaging

I never write reviews but because this product is so expensive- I thought it was time to write one. I am on my fourth or fifth bottle since I started using it in July. I go through them way quicker then expected because the dropper barely works and a ton of the product sticks to the dropper tube when you take it out. When the product dwindles down after a few uses, you can barely get any out. I have to use a q-tip every time to get it out! When the dropper actually auctions the serum up, you go to squeeze it and the serum just remains on the tube. Only a tiny bit comes out. I don't understand it. I like the product but I am hesitating spending all that money on something every month with all these issues.

It works - partially.

This product is good but not worth the expensive price tag. The applicator is also a headache. If you’re new to the Genaissance line and don’t mind investing in yourself, I would recommend rather buying the Genaissance essence lotion in conjunction with the Genaissance balm than this - that combo is more value for money in my opinion. The one outstanding thing about this serum though is that it’s very good for treating expression lines/laugh lines. Takes about 18mths but they do disappear & don’t come back even if you stop using the product for some time.

Too expensive for what you get

I love La Mer products and have spent thousands of dollars total on them. I love the Genaissance line for my super dry skin, in particular the infused lotion and the new night balm. This product was $600+ when it first came out and is now the most expensive of the whole line when they raised the price to over $700. In my opinion it's not worth it for the small amount you get and the packaging issues that others have pointed out. I will continue to buy the other Genaissance products but not this one.

So for me to write a positive review about a cream or serum takes a lot. Although I have access to surgery or laser treatments, I have not had anything done and I have fine lines and wrinkles of my lower lids. So my beautiful daughter sent me the La Mer The Serum Essence and as a male who doesn't use many creams on his face, at first, I began to use it just to please my daughter although I was not expecting to see any real results. I liked the fragrance very much. It was light yet not over powering. I have to admit that I didn't follow the instructions of application precisely, but the serum went on easily and absorbed quickly. I did focus on my lower lids and neck and applied it in an outward and upward direction. Over the next few weeks my skin felt softer and I truly began to notice less visible wrinkles on my lower lids. I think I saw the biggest difference on my right side. I am still following the results but I have to admit I am pleased. I know there are no miracles, either with surgery or with creams but I think this serum, for me at least, made a difference. And don't forget the sun protection.

This product is simply amazing! I've tried other La Mer serums and nothing comes close to this one. I've tried to concentrate, the Brightening serum, the regenerative serum nothing works as good as this one, for me at least. I use this with the Genaissance infused lotion and they work wonderfully together. I was skeptical at first because I usually like my serums to be the first thing I applied but when using the serum with the lotion I noticed that is an extra dose of miracle broth so my skin feels extra protected with the Genaissance line. This serum evens everything out so perfectly and rejuvenates my skin so well I can walk out the door without make up and still look like I have make up. It also gives my skin a nice youthful bounce.
