Gentlewoman by Juliette Has A Gun Eau De Parfum Spray 100ml

Update.. it has been 3 years since i wrote this last review and I will say that I have purchased a bottle a year since then .. this is the sexiest perfume I have ever owned and is now my signature scent.. it is expensive.. but it is so worth it to me.. If you want to smell unique and not like "every other woman walking down the street" if you want people to turn around and pause trying to figure out what that amazing smell is then buy this perfume.. I now own most of this house. and Gentlewoman and Moscow mule are my top 2.. highly recommend and i will buy this forever.. I received a sample of this in my November 2015 Birchbox.. after reading all of the horrible reviews of this perfume I was turned off. people were complaining that it smelled too much like a man and was way too musky , and that they were angry/disappointed/upset, that they received it as a birchbox sample.. I was not impressed.. UNTIL I received it in the mail today .. while masculine scents on a woman is not for everyone.. I love them . and this smell is something that I will never forget.. I sprayed a little on the back of my hand and I kept smelling it all day .. I couldn't get enough of it .. I am IN LOVE with this smell.. my signature scent is Dolce and Gabbana light blue. but it has now been replaced.. High price tag for this one. but it will be well worth the price.. I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with this smell.. it smells like falling asleep In Abercrombie and Fitch and waking up and going home and not showering for a day .. and the only other thing I can compare it to is the smell of a magazine after you have opened the flaps on all of the perfume and cologne samples and then lost the magazine for a week. and when u find it that mixture of all of the perfume and colognes . it is heaven in a bottle.. if u have the money to buy this GO FOR IT

A total mood perfume!

I love the JHAG line with Not A Perfume and Super dose being my favorite. I am on the fence on whether or not I like this fragrance! Some days I love it, and others…not so much. It lasts all day. One thing holds true though- whenever I wear it I receive nothing but compliments, so there’s that! I like to pair it with Not A Perfume for a more feminine take. This is one of those perfumes you actually have to try for a bit to decide if you like it or not. I suggest buying the rollerball first.

An androgynous, musky neroli

Others compare Gentlewoman to Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino, with good reason, but I actually prefer this because the addition of musk makes it far more wearable for me, keeping it down to earth. It also lacks the lavender that makes most men's colognes smell so masculine. This is the only citrus perfume I own, because usually citrus becomes quite sharp on me and dissipates quickly. This lasts all day on me, and never veers into sharp territory.Gentlewoman is definitely an androgynous scent, which for me is part of the allure. Arguably too Gentle!

I know a lot of people on this site rave about JHAG so I thought I would try a couple of their fragrances. This is the 2nd I have tried - the first being Sunny Side Up, which didn't appeal to me.I was so disappointed in this one. It smelt like a fresh aftershave at first, but then had a better aroma after the first hour. However, within 2 hours I couldn't smell it all.There is nothing distinctive or pleasing about his fragrance, it is very humdrum, and I'm waiting to find a JHAG scent that I actually like - but I have 2 more waiting to be tried, so fingers crossed. Not for me.

Body hero scent dupe, but better.

This is a Glossier body hero body oil wash scent dupe. I adored the scent of that body wash but it was basically gone as soon as you dried off. so I have been searching around a solid month at least for anything that smells like the body hero. this perfume is like 95% the same. I initially got a sample through scentbird and loved it so much that I'm now spending $140 for a full size... in the middle of a pandemic..so I can just smell myself . IT IS THAT GOOD . it's very delicate feminine floral but also more than that. I dont know how to describe it but it definitely has something else that makes this more complex. like if you took a shower in an outdoor shower in the middle of a blooming field of flowers and dried off in the sun.I probably used 4 sprays yesterday ... MoreThis is a Glossier body hero body oil wash scent dupe. Cologne and gun barrels!

I bought this 'blind' (or should that be 'noseless'?) after reading Thomas' review of it in his blog. I love more masculine scents - my standard/signature smell is the men's Aqua di Gio - so this sounded like my kind of perfume. The initial hit is of cologne, not 4711, but along those lines. There's also a green, sappy smell, like fresh twigs when you strip the bark off them (what, did no-one else do that as a kid?). What really gets me is the undertone of metal, which, given the name of the brand, smells like a well-oiled gun barrel. As I love the scent of gun cupboards and old-style tool shops, this works a treat for me. Juliette Has a Gun

I bought this fragrance a while ago and I usually wear Classic Tory Burch for daily use and wanted something different and this is so fresh and clean Not sure if it lasts since usually after you wear a fragrance all day we don't smell it anymore I do like it and not everyone sells it. SO I was happy to find it on Fragrance and it arrived quickly.

Nice and Light

I received this as a sample and liked it so much I bought the larger version. Nice and light for summer. Love receiving lots of different samples to try. This is definately my new go to perfume store for harder to get fragrance. Fast shipping and great service. Thanks Libertine.

One of my Favorite Fragrances!

This is one of my favorite fragrances. I have been wearing it for over a year and I truly love it! Many perfumes just do not mix well with my body chemistry but this does. You first smell the neroli and almond and then it dries down to this beautiful musk. I don’t quite know how to categorize the scent but it is very warm and sensual. It is not overpowering, work-friendly, and nice for a night out. I wear it in the warm weather as well. I have to admit it doesn’t have all that much staying power, but I don’t mind because it is such a unique scent and I personally do not know anyone else that wears it. I highly recommend!

So lovely

I've wanted this for so long, I'm very happy I chose this company. The packaging, samples and personal touch blew my mind. I'll only shop here now for the brands they have. When the weather is warm, this smell makes me feel really calm and happy. I feel like I might be on the way to collecting quite a few from JHAG!
