Gerber Stake Out - Silver

The Gerber Stake-Out pocket knife is a handy, versatile product that is designed to be functional. It has many built in tools all within a compact pocket knife design. With all the different tools, it is weighty but it also feels durable with that weight. This is meant to be used for camping but it is actually good to have on hand for other purposes too. It has scissors, a saw blade, a bottle opener, a tent stake puller, a knife and many others. The tools are tightly packed and can be difficult to pull out. Given how sharp some of these are, I was a little afraid to pull them out too roughly but when I try to gently pull them out, they wouldn’t budge. I wish there is an easier way to maneuver them safely. I'm super excited to take this on my next camping trip. I couldn't wait, so I used it to cut some little branches in my yard and was surprised at how well it worked. It's nice and compact, especially considering how many cool features it has. I appreciate the safety features preventing the blades from popping out without pushing the release. I love tent camping and this is a really cool and light addition to my backpack!

Engineers forgot about the utility of the file.

If I had bought the Stake Out as a stand-alone tool, I probably would have rated it 4 stars. However, I am reviewing it as part of the Camp KIt, and in that context, I got much more focused (and annoyed) by the uselessness of the file. A camp chopping tool - hatchet, axe, whatever - really needs a file handy to touch up the edge now and then. The file on the State Out tool is not fully proud of its side of the tool to allow you to grab the tool and run the file along the Hatchet edge; the tab on the scissors that you use to pull out the scissors sits above the file plane. Bummer. Unable to look at the tool so returned it.

Bought online and collected in-store and, when I got it home, realised it wasn't possible to open the packaging without destroying it. I took it back to the shop to ask if they had an open one on display, which they said they couldn't do. I asked if I'd be able to return it if I opened the packaging but then assessed it wasn't right for my needs - answer, 'no'. So I returned it.Might be a good tool - although it's much smaller than it appears in online pics - and possibly great for bushwalking, but I wasn't prepared to pay that much for something I couldn't at least hold and assess first. Stake out graphite is an excellent tool! I had no idea anything like this existed until I received this product in the mail! It is very high quality and extremely durable! It is the perfect size as it fits right in your pocket! It is very natural to use, so it’s very comfortable! Another huge plus is that it’s weather resistant which is vital when it comes to a tool like this! I highly recommend this product to my family and friends.

This Gerber stake out, graphite, multi functional tool is absolutely amazing. It helps pitch your tent with a built-in hook, has multiple knives and saw functions all compact into a small portable handheld pocketknife with a carabiner hook. My husband loves this, of course he claimed it as soon as it came in for our next outing. I won't resist cause I know the Gerber will definitely come in handy. Thank you Influenster and Gerber for making my husband like a big Kid with a new toy.

I recieved this from Influencer to give my honest opinion. When I was a paramedic it was the thing to get a gerber multi-tool. This is a camping multi tool . I wasn’t able to go camping to use it in its full capacity but I have been using at work. I absolutely love the carabiner as I can clip it and not lose it ! I’m sure the tent stake puller will be useful if used , I just don’t believe it will be a “oh let me get the tool” I absolutely love all of the other functions and the removable tweezer has been used for splinters a few times already . The bottle opener is not obvious but it’s genius how it’s combines with the carabiner . The knives are sharp !!!! During camping there are instances we that would be useful to have that function . Or when you are doing everyday things as well. So to say it short, this little product that can fit in my hand holds 11 different functionalities. The tool itself also has what feels like a textured grip which will help prevent your hand from slipping when you’re tugging and pulling on things. I cut through several different things and had no problems.the sawblade would definitely work on smaller tree branches. All in all this is a phenomenal brand that gives you a phenomenal performance. I highly recommend this brand.

The movement of certain parts of the tool (tent stake puller, scissor pullout, carabiner) is very stiff compared to other tools. The package was hard to open even with large scissors.**Pros:**- Has a lot of items going for it on paper (saw, blade, tent hook pull, scissors, etc.).- The size is very comparable to the Leatherman Skeletool.- Weight-wise, the Gerber is listed at 3.3oz while the Leatherman is 5oz.**Cons:**- The tent hook has a learning curve on how to lift and swing out.- The tweezers are there to use in a pinch only; tried it for hair, and it didn’t have real grip strength.- Once the knife blade is locked, it takes a lot of strength from your other hand’s thumb to get into the recessed area to unlock the blade to fold it back. I received this free complimentary from Influenster and Stake Out Graphite for my honest review. This is a great go to tool for camping. I’ve used the knife a lot and also the scissors and tweezers to pull the occasional splinter. The peg puller is most useful. I would not recommend it for children though because the blade is very sharp and pointed. It is very comfortable and it can be hung in the side pocket. It definitely comes in handy for weather resistant.
