I own a few ghd tools and the quality is always top notch (two of them are more than 10 years old and still work perfectly). This curling iron is no exception. The thing I like the most is, with no doubt, the clamp: zero snagging, my hair never gets stuck in there. I'm so happy because this was the only thing I found really annoying in the past. Now there is a standard small plug which is way more convenient when storing/packing the tool. As side note, the length of the barrel works well for long (mid-back) hair, but I secretly hope one day ghd will come up with a XL version for very long hair.

I bought this curling iron a few years ago and fell in love. Then one day, I dropped it. It survived the fall but unfortunately, it didn’t survive the second fall some time later. I was heartbroken and dreamed of the day I’d purchase it again. I recently went for it and I love it just as much as I loved it then. Beautiful curls that hold for several days, they just loosen over time. I get a ton of compliments. I love that you don’t have to try to guess what heat you need and GHD has made sure the heat is evenly distributed. The iron is ready in literally seconds. It’s lightweight and has a super long cord. As long as you take good care of it, it’ll be yours for a very long time. Definitely recommend and it’s for sure worth the price.

Overall a good product. Wanted to invest in a quality product that isn't damaging for the hair. Does what it's suppose to do which is gives you long lasting curls. One thing to note that it is VERY hot, and it's not adjustable. I have normal to thin stand hair and i think the heat is way too strong for my hair type, I don't even leave the curl on the tong for the recommended time. The barrel isn't every smooth when gliding your hair through, you have to open the clamp to release the hair which is abit annoying if you have long hair. Because of the friction its harder to use in my experience compared to other curlers.. burnt myself the first time too.. you definitely need a technique whilst using this because it is way to hot and I can't leave my hair on the barrel ... MoreOverall a good product. The weight is beautifully light, much easier to hold in place than my wand. Right away, the iron checks a major box for me- the power button is placed beneath the clip handle. I'm sure we can all relate to the inconveniently placed button that we hit midway through our styling, and wonder why our curls are getting looser, lol. Press and hold to turn on, you will have both a bright tone and a light. The light ring will flash as it's reaching temperature. When it's ready to go, the light ring will turn solid, and a different set of tones will chime out. To achieve the curls that work best for me takes some practice. But the lovely thing that I had forgotten about clip curlers is that they hold your hair in place, even that stubborn little tuft of hair that refuses to fall in line with the rest. No more going back for stragglers. I have very long hair, and the barrel length is average. I've gotten exquisite curls, but mostly towards the ends. It may be a consideration for some. Overall, this has earned its spot in your tool kit. In my experience with GHD products, it will last you a very long time.

I just have a small gripe about its gripping power - if you start at the roots and twist your hair around the barrel to the end, the end does not stay put well with the metal barrel clip - if I don't hold onto the end and wrap it round while I am curling, about three inches of hair fall out of the tong and are not heated evenly with the rest of the hair. Be aware it also does not come with a heat protection mat, so if you do not already have one make sure you buy one. (I got the curve classic tong case with built in heat protection mat, it is excellent and very fit for purpose). Overall happy with the purchase but just be wary of these points before buying.

I really liked this curler. Curls are long lasting. The curler heats up fairly quickly in under 8 seconds. I like the shape the curler has on the end because it makes it easy to hold and that part doesn’t get hot. You can use this curler many different ways. My favorite way to use it is mostly like a wand but with the tong to hold the hair into place. The width of the wand is perfect for looser or bigger curls. It does take a few minutes to cool so I’d be careful with it after unplugging it. It’s also pretty easy to hold and not heavy. I found it easy to use and was able to quickly style my hair because of how well it heats.
GHD Soft Curl is hands down the best curling iron that I’ve ever tried. The barrel has a super innovative material which my hair slides smoothly and It doesn’t stick on surface. It doesn’t burn my hair or my hair extensions which is a miracle! The curling iron is lightweight and easy to hold. The clamp is really secure and easy to push, which makes the curling process so much easier. Everyone needs this curling iron in their life especially, people who have longer hair or people who are using hair extensions on daily basis. It gives such natural and soft curls in just seconds and your bouncy curls last a long time! Now with my Ghd soft curl, I dont need to curl my hair extensions every day and It saves me so much time.

I curled my hair on Sunday night and my curls were so soft and shiny from this iron. My curls did fall a little after sleeping on them, so I re-curled the front two pieces and was good to go. Tuesday was more of a beach wave look, but the waves held all day again and I plan to wear the waves again Wed.
