I’m a complete novice when it comes to doing anything with my hair. This curling wand is brilliant and easy to use. I can quickly create beautiful soft curls. The wand heats up super fast, only need to wrap hair around the wand for a few seconds to create a curl. I worked with small sections at a time. No damage to my colour treated hair. I always use quality professional salon hair styling products which I’m convinced help keep my hair healthy and shiny.

I have tried so many brands of curling irons and wands. The majority of them felt cheap or that they were burning my hair. I have fine hair that doesn't hold a curl very easily. I saw a ton of great reviews on this and decided to give it a try. I have had the same GHD teal straightener for over 10 years that still works great so it was a no brainer to try out this from the same brand. I absolutely love it!! The coating of the wand actually feels like my hair is being protected from severe damage. It provides such a great curl, even after letting my hair cool and then brushing it out. Not only that, the curl lasts for a few days (which is very rare for fine hair). I had been looking at this for a while, and was unsure. Watching the videos, it all looks so easy, but I know it's never THAT simple and often takes some practice to hone in your technique. After getting my hairdresser to add curls with the GHD iron (and loving the look) I decided, "let's do it!" And I'm so glad I did. As expected, it's a learning curve and you need to get the hang of it. There is always one side that is easier than the other, but with practice, you can get them to look pretty much the same.I have very thick course hair, so have found very small sections work much better for me - they are easier to wrap around the wand and less likely to slip whilst winding or holding. The results are impressive and I find they last longer when I used on hair that was washed and blow dried the day before, as opposed to freshly washed and blow dried hair (it tends to slip off the barrel more and the curls drop out quicker).

I have the ghd curler tong and it doesn’t hold curls at all, even with tonnes of spray, so I never use it. But this wand is amazing even without hair spray! The curls get better as the day/s go on as I find them a bit too neat & uniform to begin with. Hair is so shiny. Due to the shape of the wand, The curls are really different to ones made with a straightener or tong which Is exactly what I was after. And depending where you place each section you can mix it up. This works very well. I have long, thick hair but fine texture. I roll the back of my hair 15 seconds max. I wrap twice, count to 10, then roll to the ends for an additional 5. The front of my hair needs less time, 10 seconds max, with the ends only getting a couple of seconds. I used a Sedu clip less curler for years until the cord loosened and it won’t stay on. This is an upgrade from that, by far. I’ve wasted money on three other clipless irons over the years that didn’t work at all. This is by far a superior product. You won’t be disappointed.
I love this curling wand! I found it so easy to use! I love the quality of the GHD products and how easy it is to use this hot tool. I find it easier then the Oracle or using a straightener to curl your hair as you literally just wrap it around the tong. I also love that this tool does not have a clamp on the wand part like so many of the traditional wands do. The only downside was the heat protector glove that came with this was not a full glove however I just purchased a set of cotton gloves from Coles and that did the trick. I do advise wearing the gloves when starting out as it will protect your fingers until you get used to styling. The curls lasted all day and was very easy to use. I cannot say this enough but this product was so easy to use!
This is an excellent hair wand. Heats up in a few seconds, so no waiting for it to get hot enough to use. One temperature, so safe to use without hair damage. Quick and easy to handle. I love the glove to protect your hands, allows you to get more hair attached. I have very fine shoulder length hair, and this gives waves and body on the day I don't wash my hair. I curl with the wand then brush my hair so that the fine curls end up natural waves. My hair stylist gave me a lesson about how to use it, which helped me a lot because I have never used one before. Quality product. Worth the price.
I brought this wand about 2 weeks ago now. I curl my hair probably more than you should at least 4 days a week. I have thin hair and my curls don't last long. But with this wand they last me all day and the next day I'm just touching up. Best part is that my hair doesn't smell burnt!!! My other wand was leaving my hair smell burnt which was an awful smell. .. This wand heats up so quickly, like I'm talking 3 seconds, it also makes the cutest sounds when you turn it off/on and when it's ready for use. In my opinion this is definitely worth the price so far!
I bought these curlers after my hair dresser curled my hair with them and I was so impressed. They are honestly the best curlers I’ve ever used. I have very long thick hair , I sometimes need to do one piece in two parts but the curl literally lasts for days. I purchased some beauty works curlers and the curl lasted a couple of hours these last all day and the next few days after they’ve dropped it looks like “beach waves” my tip would be wear a heat protection glove you can grasp hair so much better, I hold the curl for 10 seconds before I let go, after all my hair has cooled down I then run my fingers through and it always looks flawless. I found making sure the hair is flat against the iron too helps. GHD never fail to deliver really do they. Last forever, work perfectly, beautifully made. Perfect heat! Perfect curls. This works on my thin shoulder length hair adding lovely curls and volume, it also curls my 22 inch remi cachet hair when I’ve got my extensions in. My daughters nearly waist length natural thick hair too! Really good. Again! But GHD meets expectations every time!
