I must admit I was very sceptical that I could dry and straighten my hair at the same time, but oh my word what a fantastic product. The more I use it, the more I love it! The ‘Shine Shot’ is brilliant - just glide it over your hair to get rid of any wispy fly-a-ways which literally takes no time at all.I used the Duet on my teenage daughter’s hair, which is much longer than mine, and once finished her response was simply ‘wow’ and I totally agree with her! I could not fault the Duet, it does exactly what it says it will. This really is an amazing must have product, so what are you waiting for - get one for yourself, you won’t regret it!

I have long, straight hair and although the plates are wide enough, I found I had to take quite thin sections in order to dry the hair, which was time consuming. The other thing I struggled with was my fringe ! I wasn’t able to find a way of drying my fringe using the Duet due its size. The finish it gives is super shiny, even without the shine shot it’s very smooth. After using the shine shot it is the best finish I have had, and the other thing I have noticed is that it lasts much longer than when I just use normal GHD straighteners.My daughter has thick, straight, much longer hair and for her this was a really good product, it created a lovely smooth, shiny finish and she was able to put a wave into the ends so I think she may end up using it more than me!

I used it on towel dried hair and it took me around 20 mins for the first step. This might sound a lot to dry your hair but it also does the straightening too (and my hair does have a wave in it), it took another 5 minutes to use the shine shot function. The style lasts and looks good until my next hair wash.My first thought was how can something style hair from wet to dry only going over each section around 3 or 4 times (I have thick medium length hair) - well it does and I was very impressed with the result. (I always use the GHD heat protector spray but I am going to order the sleek oil to compare the finish).The product itself is easy to use and heats up to temperature quickly. There is some noise when in dryer mode which is to be expected from the fan but it’s not off putting and is infact quieter than my hairdryer. It’s slightly heavier and chunkier than the max plate straighteners but I do not find this a problem and soon got used to it. The transition from dryer to straighteners is very clever and is a quick switch of the shine shot button to cut off the drying function and adjust the plates up to temperature (takes about 5 seconds).I have used it as a dryer only and didn’t need to run over with the shine shot option as my hair looked great as it was (pic 1). The next time I used it I did use the shine shot function and wow what a difference this made to the finish of my hair. I only went over the top layer of my hair and it was as if I’d had my hair professionally styled (pic 2 & 3).I needed to get up very early one morning for work and knew I wouldn’t have time to do my hair so I did it the night before, let it cool down and tied it loosely back with a silk scrunchie to sleep in. When I woke up it was just as good as when I’d done it the night before. I didn’t need to go over it at all whereas before when I used straighteners it would kink and I’d have to redo it in places.Each time I use the styler I get better (and quicker) with it and I enjoy doing my hair. I love my hair again and how it looks and feels and it’s cut down drying and styling time to about 15 to 20 mins in all.I cannot recommend this product enough and keep raving on about it to everyone! It did take longer to dry as I used much smaller sections and glided the hair at a slower pace however using it for the second time, I used slightly bigger sections and quicker glide action and it managed to give me a superb result. My hair definitely feels softer and so sleek that it looks as if I’ve gained an inch in length. Just the drier alone left it looking so soft and straight that the shine shot was not needed. I only used this to style my shorter face framing layers and the plates worked perfectly to achieve this. I think I’ll definitely struggle to have to use another product now that I have this one one cannot wait to continue my hair growth journey with minimal damage. My only downside…I wished this product could have come out sooner. I’m not looking back after this and haven’t stopped raving about this to friends and family. Really is a game changer.

A large percentage of my styling routine is spent washing, blow drying and straightening my hair. We can all collectively agree as human beings that time is our most valuable commodity. By owning a singular product with the ability to not only dry but straighten my hair too, it has cut down my styling routine in half. I find myself in a salon chair every 6 weeks to maintain the roots of my bleached blonde hair, I do my best to avoid too much heat on my hair. Not only does this product use lower temperatures, it eliminate the need for a secondary heat producing product and vastly reduces the length of time my hair is exposed to a heat source. Another bonus I’ve factored in is for when I travel, the freed up space in my suitcase from only having to fit in one styling tool rather than two. Feeling fortunate enough to live in a period of time where such as innovative product has been possible to create - Incredible, I couldn’t recommended it enough!

However I was keen to try it as I was very excited at the prospect of saving time, and having smooth, frizz free hair. Even before using the shine shot, my husband - without prompting - said I look as good as I do when I’ve ‘just got back from the hairdresser. It never normally looks like that when you wash it yourself’. After three uses I am hooked, I can now give my hair a lift at the roots and a smooth wave as well as my normally poker straight look. Having two products in one is also a bonus. I would be happy with the blow dry without using the shine shot, the finish achieved after drying is so polished, but the shine shot does add additional shine. Having the 2 products in 1 is definitely a bonus. There is also no sign that using the duet style is causing any damage, in fact my hair feels and looks softer and shinier than before I used it. I have recently had a baby so falling out hair is very much an issue- meaning I really want to keep my hair as healthy as possible! I timed myself using the product and by the third try I managed to get to 20 minutes- thick (even after loss) mid back length hair- I think that’s pretty impressive…oh and the fringe!I am very much looking forward to using the duet style on holiday with daily hair washing and styling- this product is going to cut down the getting ready time so much!My fave points…- quick set up- easy to use- smooth and sleek- one product rather then multiple- non damaging due to lower heat
A fantastic and innovative product that has significantly cut down on the time it takes me to dry and straighten my hair. Normally to blow dry and straighten my hair it takes upwards of half an hour, using the duet style this has been cut down to less than 20 minutes. Despite hesitations about using a heat styler/plates on my hair when wet, I haven't noticed any additional breakage in my processed (bleached) hair.The Duet Style is relatively quiet to operate but I can't say I found it quieter than your standard modern hairdryer. It is quite bulky and relatively heavy as well and I have found my hand can cramp during use however it can be easily handled with one hand. As well, due to the bulk, I found it difficult to get close to the roots on the top layers of my ... I have found this function to be more beneficial as a second day style refresher than for use directly after drying.I think the duet would be great for travelling light as you're only needing to take one product instead of 2 for similar results.Overall I think it's a great product and solely for the time saving aspect has been great! If you really only wear your hair straight I would recommend this thoroughly. On the other hand if you like to mix up styling and your budget will be stretched I would recommend going with a separate (but good quality) hairdryer and straightener, simply because they are more versatile than the duet.
