I bought this in Paris at a salon there with a Euro plug because I travel there often - I was hooked immediately! I have curly/wavy hair, it’s fine hair but I have a lot of it which makes it frizzy. This is THE best brush straightener in the market, I’ve tried SO many through the years (I’m in my 40’s and used to use a curling iron to calm my curls before straighteners came out). You don’t really have to straighten / blow dry your hair beforehand if you don’t have time - this will do the trick! Amazing product - I loved it so much that I bought another with the US plug to use at home when not traveling. 10+ stars!!!

I absolutely love the ghd glide. I have fine wavy mid-length hair which due to colouring can be dry. I’m working on improving the condition of my hair and the glide is helping so much. It straightens, gives volume and is much gentler than straighteners. In fact I’ve not used straighteners once since I received it a few days before Christmas. Previously I used straighteners every day. I’ve used this on my daughters hair for a quick fix in the morning. Absolutely love it!!!

Hi I commonly do Brazilian Knots and have realized that the GHD glide is not a good product for the hair type. It does not heat up eonough to provide a smooth glide through the hair to straighten also having the knots you can't use the glide closer to the roots. However, the biggest issue is that it does not heat up to the level to enable a smooth pass through the hair demonstrating that it has been straightened. It's just more of a hassle then the initial reason why I purchased it to make my life easier and conveniant but it's actually added more time to getting ready and it's rather painful therefore I stopped using it after the 2nd use due to the inconveniance it has caused.

The glide heats up to an optimum temperature of 185˚C. The Ghd glide has an ioniser that emits negative ions, which close the cuticle layer of the hair, locking in moisture and creating shine. The longer spokes on the brush aren't heated and these are the ones the detangle any knots in the hair whilst the short spokes are the ones that straightened the hair. You can touch the spokes without burning your hand or head. If you have thick, frizzy hair like mine then I wouldn't recommend that you use this brush like a normal hair brush but rather section the hair and pull that section out straight then run the Ghd glide through that section like you would a traditional straightener. If you like to wear your hair dead then the Ghd Glide isn't for you. It does straightened the hair but I would suggest it more as a touch up device. So say you blow dry then straighten your hair one day and wake up the next day and it's a bit kinky or wavy or you've had a ponytail in your hair and you want to remove the hair tie/scrunchie kink then the glide will certainly remove that. Or if your looking for a quick tidy up before running out the door to drop the kids off to school then the glide is for you. However if you're looking for that super sleek dead straight style then an actual hair straightener would get you a more sleek result. Overall I would recommend the Ghd glide to anyone with long, thin, slightly wavy hair as it wouldn't take too much effort or time to straightened. I am happy with the results I achieve using my Ghd glide as most of the time I simply tie my hair up so running the glide through a few sections to smooth my hair out before putting my hair up in a ponytail or bun works perfectly for me.
The brush leaves your hair very smooth and has a great long cable. But, the bristles are very hard which are a bit painful if you are not careful. It’s very easy to touch the button to start it warming up - this ought to be moved further up the barrel towards the bristles. It takes a little while longer that straighteners to heat up but not that long really! Overall I’m really pleased with it as it doesn’t feel like I’m butchering my hair with heat nor does it give that poker straight look (if you want that use straighteners) but rather s smooth polished look.
I bought this as a gift for my daughter, after reading many online reviews of different brands of hot brushes. I’m a long time regular straightening iron user so I was a little skeptical. Well, she LOVES it and so do I! So easy to use, quick, and leaves the hair so much more glossy and shiny than my regular straightener. You can section the hair to get a “straighter” look or just brush through randomly for a styled more Natural look! I’ve barely used my regular straightener since and we love it!
I’ve had the hot brush around 2 months. I have really long hair and find it always looks a mess because I can’t be bothered to straighten it as it’s so time consuming. So I normally end up going to work everyday with it shoved up and a mess. This brush has changed my life. It takes no time at all and is quick and simple to use. It does a great job of taking my frizzy hair and it just always looks presentable now with just a few minutes brushing in the mornings. Havnt actually touched my straighteners since I’ve had the brush. Brilliant - worth the money just buy one!
Not a great product. I had high hopes as I’m a big fan of ghd products but this brush fell way below expectations unfortunately. It takes much longer to straighten than a traditional straightener (you have to glide extra slow for it to work) - the whole point of the brush was to make things quicker and easier but it doesn’t. I hoped to try the brush before purchasing but the store had no trials. Because I trusted the ghd brand I decided to purchase anyway. I regret this so much. I wish I could return it- but they won’t accept returns. From now on I would not purchase any new product from ghd without trialling it first.

Very expensive, hoping it pays off and lasts a long time without being faulty, great so far and I've had it about a month, no issue so far. I was hesitant to buy this due to the price point but my flat iron was just too time and energy consuming to use daily. I waited until I’ve had this for a couple weeks to review it. One thing I wish it had was a temperature control. On its description, it goes up to a temperature of 360 F and for reference my old Chi iron would go up to 390. If I could, I would make this temperature higher. As it is, it does not make my hair totally straight just slightly less wavy, however, I see many reviewers say it is too hot for their (presumably thinner) hair.
