After doing a significant amount of research, I decided to purchase the Roam 1. It is beautifully made and rides as good as it looks. As expected, the frame is sturdy and the added feature of having the cables embedded in the frame makes it look even more sleek and efficient. The wheels are a good size and width to cater for both roads, paths and trails. The ability to lock the front suspension is a nice bonus too. It allows you to tackle the bumps and fly on the smoother surfaces. Although it is early days, I am really impressed and confident that I have purchased a bike that is versatile, robust and designed to last. A good investment!

This is my first hardtail after riding road bikes for years, I've found the riding position very comfortable as well as the seat. The front suspension soaks up a lot of the bumps from cracks in the road and I find that I'm not swerving to miss them as much as I do on the road bike, I've also taken this on the red route of a local off road course and enjoyed it so much I go back each week.

I ordered by bike online. I called on the day to make sure the bike was ready before I drove to the store, because I’m not close. When I went to pick up my bike I was disappointed to see it was all scratched up. This was not relayed to me on the phone call before I drove out there. After I pointed out the scratches they told me all they could do was give me a gift certificate to the store. Then when I got home and took it for a long ride the following day the the front tire started whistling and then the brake became useless. The store is too far for me to go back soon and get it tuned up. I wouldn’t suggest buying from them if you don’t live nearby.

This was a gift for our son for his birthday. His response was, “Did you guys get the sickest bike in the bike shop!? It’s PERFECT!” So, if you’re looking for a bike for your 25 year old who just landed his first full-time teaching position, this is the gift! There was such a huge selection at Bicycle Warehouse, you will definitely find what you need even if you’re not sure what it is when you get there!
As a new rider, I bought this bike because it gives me versatility. My wife and I ride paved trails and unpaved trails and this bike manages both with ease. Also, the price point allows someone to enter biking at a price point that doesn't break the bank.
I bought this bike for exercise and ride it mainly on streets. A bit heavier than I thought and I did change to a more comfortable seat, otherwise I love this bike. Good on hills, I like how the rear brake cables are now integrated in the frame for 2021. Lots of bike for the money.
Recently bought a Roam 0 and absolutely love it. I use it for town and light off-road cycling (farm/gravel tracks) and it is great. I've used it every day since I got it and it's gobbled-up everything I've thrown at it.Whilst I live in a pretty flat area (Central Beds) the hills I encounter have posed no problem. And the ride is smooth even on the farm tracks - thanks to the Suntour forks. The disc brakes are sharp and have absolutely been called upon due to selfish motorists and an over-excited puppy who took a shine to my tyres whilst they were spinning in the rain 🤣.I am on the cusp of Medium and Large frame size, opted for large as the ride position felt good. It was the right choice as the visibility is excellent in busy town traffic but without being to ... MoreRecently bought a Roam 0 and absolutely love it. It was the right choice as the visibility is excellent in busy town traffic but without being to stiff. The finish is eye catching and unusual (photos don't to it justice). Highly recommend, I'm a happy cyclist.
Beautiful looking, smooth, comfortable, and most importantly; light. You can practically lift it with one hand!Very capable on the trails and roads alike, but it feels more of a trail bike than a street bike. So much fun to ride. The first day I got it, I rode it for 3 hours straight and wasn't even tired.Only complaints is the Seat: it is basic and not comfortable for long rides, then again, no bike comes with a fancy seat, we all end up changing them.
I currently was using a Diamondback bike that I felt was decent although the bike was 5 years old. When I jumped on the roam it was clearly an upgrade. Between the aluminum frame weight of the bike and the gear shifting accessibility Roam was a far better bike. I was able to go up large inclines much easier and maneuverability was MUCH more responsive. I found the price point to very fair for what I was getting and would highly recommend this bike as a good all around bike. I also like some of the available options of adding a rack with a lockable basket to the back of the bike for carting around purchased items.
This bike comes equipped with a D-Fuse Composite seatpost. What Giant fails to say on this web site is that the D-Fuse seatpost and clamp have an issue with slippage. It is a poor design. If I had known about this I would never have purchased the Giant Roam Disc 0. I owned a Giant Roam 2 years ago and it was a wonderful bike so when it was time for a new one I decided to upgrade, what a mistake. The engineers at Giant need to fix this issue and send out a product recall notice to all owners. We shouldn't have to find out about it by reading on troubleshooting forums after the fact. Save yourself the frustration, buy something else.
