Giantz - 20V Cordless Electric Chainsaw

Product is good. Don't expect to cut a tree down - it is a battery. Having said that I have cut branches around 150 mm diameter. The extension pole is brilliant. I highly recommend MyDeal, their service is second to none.

A tool of limited value, limited capabilities

It has very limited capabilities. I was unable to cut branches thicker than 4 cm with the chainsaw which is obviously not powerful enough especially when on the extended pole position. The trimmer does a good job in all situations, even in the fully extended position. The battery dies very quickly but it allowed me to finish most of what I was planning to do.

Best lightweight cheap pole-hedgetrimmer available today

This is a great pole hedgetrimmer. Newer technology, I believe, will find it difficult to improve on this. 20V motor is heaps powerful enough in the hedge trimmer. The lithium-ion battery takes 3-4 hours to charge, and lasts about half hour of use. Swap out for another identical battery and continue, allowing the battery to cool for half hour before placing on charge. (search ebay for replacement Lithium 20V battery) DON'T LEAVE ON CHARGE FOR LONGER THAN 3 WEEKS BEFORE USE. The chainsaw part is not as good as the hedgetrimmer. I still prefer a petrol chainsaw to go through larger branchfall - but to wait until branches actually fall is sometimes not practical. The pole is both lightweight and strong - flexing slightly when used with the included extension. I haven't had any problems with this product in the past 10 months of once-a-week use.

Both attachments work really well

Both the chainsaw and hedge trimmer attachments worked really well. I expected the trimmer to get stuck being a battery operated one but it tore through my hedges without a problem. The chainsaw was also surprisingly powerful and cut through decent branches with ease. Two areas that may cause concern: the weight at the end of the stick is hard to manage sometimes, especially the trimmer, which needs some finesse for good results and; one part of the shaft is removable only. It would be great if you could use both attachments as normal tools (with no extension) as well, just for ease of use. Still happy with purchase and price

Combination chain saw and hedge trimmer.

Well built unit, slightly heavy but not too uncomfortable to use. Tried out the Chain saw and work well, the blade was a little smaller that I imagined it would be but still useable. The hedge trimmer is where this unit really shone, I have multiple Diosma trees growing in my backyard that were in need of a good cut back. This hedge trimmer did it in style and with ease. It was worth the money just for this attachment. It took me about 20 minutes to trim them all back and the battery was still going strong. 10/10 for run time.

Easy to assemble and easy to use.

Loved the angle variations available to the hedge element of this machine. The chainsaw element is a great little tool for all those once hard places to get to. The extension pole is a handy inclusion... a little flimsy feeling, but seems to do the job... time will tell. But overall, great little machine for the price, and yes I would recommend this product in comparison to all the others in the same voltage bracket.

I purchased the pole saw/ pole hedge trimmer combo. I love the hedge trimmer, for a battery powered tool I was a bit worried it might not have enough power but it does. It powered through my boganvillias without any problem. I cut 15 metres of them and the battery still hasn't gone flat. The chainsaw attachment isn't that great. It doesn't seem to have enough grunt to cut through much. It bounces off the wood being cut and if you put a lot of pressure it finally cuts but it's not a clean cut. More like hacking through. But it does eventually cut through even around 3 metres above ground so it gets the job done. It has a self oiler but it doesn't work, instead just leaks when not in use. Good value

I was very surprised how good this small chainsaw & Hedger work's, the price was grabbed my attention. It's got to be second to none in this price range? I love using it, it makes short work out of having a quality product whilst doing the old hedge row. Thanks for the great product & price! Cheers .

Good value but

The unit arrived quickly. I pride myself in only using an instruction manual if I have to and didnt have any problems putting it together. Unfortunately when I did put it together the handle was upside down lucky Im technical and turned the handle around. Next I started working with the unit, it was working well but there was an intermittent bad connection where the extension poles join but give it a wiggle and it keeps going. When it was working it did a great job especially for the $$. While the initial problems are annoying I think the unit is a winner.

Good value product for home use

My pole chainsaw and hedge trimmer arrived quickly, undamaged and was well packaged. The only real assembly needed was fitting the chainsaw blade which was pretty simple. It also came with the oil. The product works well and is good value given it was about half the price of most others, and included the battery & charger.
