When it works, it is good, but that is for such a short period of time. 2 problems - the shaft disengages way too easily & often, and the blade section twists. I am sorry that I bought this product because a lot more time is spent on getting it to work than actually being able to use it. Very frustrating. It looks like really good quality and it was cheap, but disappointing as far as usable time.

Very pleased with this product.I was glad most of the assembly had been already done and I just had to work out how to put chain and bar on,which was fiddily but not difficult. The 12 inch chain cut branches very well. With 3 of the extension poles connected,you definitely need the supplied harness on as poles are very long. Be very careful while in cutting mode.Overall very happy with this product.

this is just what i ordered and expected. I have already cut down an overhead branch so already the machine has paid for itself. The high compression makes for heavy puling starter cord but this one starts easily. I previously had a pole saw but sold it because of the difficuty I experienced in starting it. So far pleased with purchase. Over Easter it will get a work out my Son in Law is coming to lop some more branches for me. Happy customer

A VERY UNSATISFACTORY PRODUCT

One part in the joining gear was made incorrectly, and I could not join the extensions together. Had to get a file and fix it in order to assemble. The machine will only run on full choke. It stops when choke is released. This is the second of these machines sent to me, and both had serious faults. I WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN

Did not get 4 stroke it was a 2stroke which they claim I ordered..

Did not get a 4stroke giantz petrol pole chainsaw. They sent a 2stroke, claiming I ordered that. I believed from their add that it was 4stroke as I read itThey tell me I ordered 2stroke which means they slipped in somewhere something about 2stroke. FALSE ADVERTISING with the photo and hype about the 4stroke.I will seriously be rethinking buying from Logan in the future as this is the second time this same thing has happened.

Does the job

For the money this pole chainsaw is Excellent Value. Effectively you can use it straight out of the box. Overall it is a very tuff unit however you need serious muscle to use it for a extended period of time as it is heavy compared to major brand names. For a unit that is overall really well made the finger trigger really let's it down... it's very flimsy & I had to replace it as it failed about an hr into its 1st use. Overall for the price if you are looking for a pole cutter for irregular use it's perfect.

Excellent product at an excellent price.

I wasn't expecting perfection at the price. Have been pleasantly surprised at how well this pole saw gets the job done. Its not overly noisy. I've been using it for a week now, using up 3 tanks of 2stk mix and refilling chain oil tank twice. Now its time to sharpen the chain. The motor and cutting head are fine. The extensions have worked apart a few times while in use, their latching feature could be improved. I won't be using it at it's full reach potential due to weight/leverage/my limited strength.

Excellent tool for the price point

It is a great tool for the money. People need to keep in mind that it is a very cheap tool compared to commercially available " brand name " pole saws. For the person that wants to use it 3 or 4 times a year and go easy on it i'm sure it will last well. Starts easy, has plenty of power. Obviously a $1000 pole saw will be lighter, stronger and last longer if used all the time etc .

For the money this is a really good pole saw. Good points: 1. It has a massive reach when all the sections are used. I've pruned up to 5 metres high with my feet on solid ground. 2. It has adequate power for cutting limbs up to around 15cm. 3. The bar has a lubrication system. 4. The engine starts and runs well. 5. It has everything you need to get going, including fuel mix bottle which was handy (the gloves and goggles are good for a laugh). 6. The price!!! Honestly after the first couple of jobs this saw owes me nothing and is still running great. Points to improve: 1. I think the bellhousing on mine was mounted 90 degrees off, so the cutting bar was 90 degrees rotated from the engine in an upright position. This may depend on the type of cutting you're doing and perhaps mine was unusual in this respect. 2. The plastic bar protector / scabbard is very flimsy and should be made stronger.

Some initial tuning required.

This pole chainsaw is good value for money BUT you need some mechanical knowledge to get it going correctly. Firstly the choke settings are incorrectly labelled. The choke is on in the "off" position and vice versa. Also the mixture and idle speeds were incorrectly set. The engine was running too fast on initial start up which resulted in the chain running continuously - an unsafe state. Once tuned, however it is a very powerful saw and fit for purpose.
