Bought this as I was running low on storage space and wanted something fast to store games on and Im not disapointed the advertised speeds I've been able to get, it was super easy to get up and running after installing in my system.
Excellent 1TB NVMe SSD easy to fit, used Acronis to clone
No dramas installing, popped it into a Gigabyte Z370XP SLI board and the BIOS sorted it out automatically, Just had to let Win 10 Partition it. Job done.
It works well!
I've got two of these in two different systems now & haven't bothered to test whether the listed speeds are accurate because it's plenty fast enough for my needs. What this thing excels at is temperature; it runs very cool compared with other NVMe SSDs, even under high load & without additional heat sinks or spreaders, so for anyone wanting speedy storage in a more compact case or laptop (or hidden behind a particularly hot running GPU) you really can't go wrong. No issues with reliability either; bought the first one over a year ago now & have kept a Windows 10 VM on there so it's seen some heavy use.
Super fast m.2 SSD. Must have for boot or game drive
I use this on a Gigabyte Z97X SLI motherboard. The chipset is limited to 10 Gb/s, but that was a big improvement over the M2 SATA I had before. I needed more space and so a swap was the best option. I bought an external M2 SATA case to make the swap easy, placing my old drive in that and the new drive in the motherboard slot. I then booted from USB and used mini-tool free to duplicate the windows disk over to the new drive.I get about 820 MB/s read or write, which is what you would expect on this motherboard. On the old M2 SATA drive I was hitting about 500 and 400, so this is a nice improvement. Boot time is pretty quick, about 10 seconds from cold.It was easy to fit and set up. The raw speed is better than my hardware could cope with, but that might be worth thinking about with newer motherboards. That said, it really is fast enough for most needs!
i have a old x99 build as my main rig and had a ssd boot drive in there i upgraded to this and to be honest its brilliant for the price i get 2180 read and 1910 write while its running my windows it seems to run cool even though its on a asus tuf motherboard with a plastic cover over the nvme slot. i placed my order on a friday and it came next day i was well made up thankyou guys for your good service will be shopping again
