I did a bunch of research before purchasing this monitor; due to the multiple negative reviews present. Luckily my unit is working great and having no display issues at all! The standard preset has a great picture (colors don't look off) and is at a good brightness. After looking at some YouTube reviews, they recommended setting the overdrive to balanced. This setting seems to do a good job and does not have ghosting or any other issues. It is an IPS panel, so don't expect it to be a perfect black. It may have a very slight greyness to the black; however, that's only noticeable if nothing is displaying on the screen. Lastly, there is a power switch next to where the power plug goes that may need to be flipped on (mine did). Whenever the system goes into sleep mode, the monitor will recognize the peripherals (if I press the keyboard or move the mouse) and turn the display on. The weird thing is that the peripherals won't show up on the system itself until I press the KVM button on the back of the monitor. I've tried assigning the USB-B to the DisplayPort input, but it didn't seem to change anything. Overall, this monitor is for sure worth it, and I'm happy with the purchase I made.

As I don't know if another replacement will fix this issue, I'm adding little wedge under right side to take care of it. Power/Function button is behind the screen and that was inconvenient as I have to reach out behind just to turn it on/off. Power button should be on the front. No flickering so far. Color from photoshop looks accurate even without calibration.

If you're thinking about it, stop thinking. Pull the trigger.

I was looking for a 32" monitor (that is NOT curved) for many months. I usually stick to 24-27" (I play CS). However, I also play a lot of MMORPGs primarily so I wanted to make the jump to an IPS panel, while still having the specs of a fast monitor for CSGO. I also am always on a budget so I couldn't afford the monitors that fit my needs that are like $600+. I pulled the trigger when I saw it on a shell shocker deal. I can't even say how worth it is to jump on this monitor. I haven't utilized the KVM feature just yet but I plan to soon. If you're looking for an IPS monitor in this size range that still has great specs for first person shooters, THIS is your monitor. It honestly looks incredible. A huge upgrade for me and I am so glad I did it. I can still play CSGO in aspect, if I ever felt it was "too big" for CSGO, but honestly? It's REALLY cool playing in stretched (1280x960 usually, but 1024x768 as well sometimes). Don't let the size of this monitor keep you away from purchasing it just because you want to stick to the 24-27" that pros usually use. It's awesome.

KVM Feature works well
30 August 2021

I am not qualified to do a full review of the color space and panel, but I am very pleased with the display quality and brightness. No dead pixels. Minimal backlight bleed (probably the least amount I've had on an IPS). Thin bezels, except on the bottom. The USB-C connectivity, combined with the built-in KVM is awesome. I wish it was easier to get to the controls for the KVM functionality (you have to reach around to the back of the right side), but it's not that bad. I have a laptop with USB-C. That single cable is capable of driving DisplayPort 1440p @165Hz, G Sync (not officially supported, but compatible and works fine), and I have keyboard, mouse, and Logitech 920 webcam connected to the ports on the monitor. Pretty good for console (PS5), It runs at 120hz and 1440p and colors look pretty solid after messing around with the settings a bit. The only loss about this monitor is that it doesn’t come with height adjustment and speakers. But for me personally i doesn’t really bother me. So if your looking for monitor for console this is a great choice! Bnh also did great with the shipping.

But if your room is very bright with plenty of sunny windows or super-bright ceiling down-lights: don't buy it !The maximum of ~250 nits wouldn't be enough !My favorite settings:Menu:Picture: Custom: Brightness: 95 / Contrast: 50 / Color Vibrance: 10 / Sharpness: 5 / Gamma: 4 / Color-Temperature: User Define(R:97/ B:98/ G:98) / Other settings: OFFGaming: Black Equalizer: 10(=sweet spot) / Super Resolution: 0 / Display Mode: Full / Overdrive: ON (YOU WANT IT !!) /FreeSync: Enable (Yes it is GSYNC compatible)Display: Overclock: ON (YES you get the nice 170Hz ! :-) )Final thoughts:If you don't need an USB hub or integrated speakers (imho: a useless piece of crap in 99% of all cases) with your monitor, and if you can live with no height/swivel or pivot adjustment options : go and grab one !!It's definitely the best bang for your bucks in this price category with regards to image quality and gaming performance !!!

Visually great but has some issues
26 November 2021

I bought two M32Qs to replace a couple of decade-old monitors. I was slightly worried by other reviews reporting dead pixels and the like, but they arrived in perfect condition. The visuals are beautiful and responsive, if far too bright in any of the default settings profiles. The monitor's settings menus are very easy to navigate, though, and I'd probably manually calibrate it at some point anyway, so this isn't a big deal. In short, I've had no issues at all with the core functionality. As simple monitors, my main problems are getting them to both fit on my desk and how to actually use all this screen real estate, since I greatly underestimated the power of two 32 inch monitors. But trying to use any of the bells and whistles has been a terrible time. My case only has two USB 3.0 ports so I was eager to use the M32Q as a USB hub, but using them has been like pulling teeth. At first they wouldn't work at all, sending me on a quest to figure out how to fix the thing I just bought. The main suggestion seemed to be updating the firmware. To do that you need to use the proprietary OSD Sidekick software...which spent 24 hours refusing to launch. When it finally did decide to launch, it complained about more than one Gigabyte monitor being connected. *It didn't like me using multiple Gigabyte monitors.* I had to disconnect one of them to make it start. Given that one purpose of the software is to let you change monitor settings from inside the operating system, this is a *bizarre* design limitation. And it means if I wanted to use other features like monitor-based crosshairs or timers, I'd have to sacrifice the other monitor's USB hub for it. I'm sure they'll fix this in a future version of OSD Sidekick, but it's baffling that they'd release software that penalizes people for buying multiples of their products. (Also it turned out the firmware actually was up to date and the USB issues were unrelated. So I didn't need Sidekick anyway, oops.) I did get the USB hub to work eventually, apparently by turning the monitors off and on once already booted, and ran into a new interesting issue, which is that if the computer goes to sleep, the hubs are disabled. This means that if you want to use them for your keyboard and mouse, such as if you were going to use KVM, it will be literally impossible to wake up your computer. My new issue is that when I turn the monitors off at night, all the windows on my secondary monitor get moved to my primary. I'm sure there's a solution but the USB issues have me too fed up to figure it out for now. For all of my complaining, that stuff really is only worth one egg. Like I said, the monitor as a monitor is great. If you don't care about the USB hub and are only using one Gigabyte monitor, I imagine you probably won't have any problems. Gigabyte will hopefully solve these issues with a firmware update at some point. And I really can't argue with the price point. But jeez, what a pain.

amazing monitor if you can get one without a dead pixel!
10 March 2022

the display is beautiful! no visible ghosting, great color replication and perfect for gaming! love ss ips panels! i find no issues with it at all as long as you can get one without a dead pixel! i have RMA'd 2 of these and finally on the 3rd one newegg sent, it seems i dont have any dead pixels! the first one had 1 dead pixel, and the second one had 2 or 3 dead pixel (they were stuck green and visible no matter the screen color. this is no fault of newegg's but a q/c issue on gigabyte's end... to gigabyte, please do something about your q/c! you would have amazing products if they didnt come to customers not working or in my case, with dead pixels! newegg itself gets 5 eggs for the good customer service but gigabyte gets 3 eggs for bad q/c
