It is a fantastic motherboard and offers great performance all round. Updating the BIOS is nice and easy. Overall I would recommend this Motherboard to all gamers and individuals wanting 10GB Network connectivity. That network speed will handle multi gig internet and 10GB NAS products. Only one small negative, it is slightly heavier than other Motherboards with its larger heatsinks. Don't let that affect you purchasing this fantastic motherboard.

It comes with great vrm heatsinks and good audio codec, ALC 1200 . A handy feature with the BIOS flashing is it doesn't require a CPU to run. The board actually has RGB LEDs along the left side of the heatsinks which I didn't notice in product images or reviews. By default are orange but can be changed with gigabyte RGB software if you wanted to do so. I'm very happy with it and I have had no problems so far. Even if you have a more budget CPU or pcie gen 3 storage drives you won't need to replace the board when you upgrade parts as it can handle all the higher end stuff just fine. I would give it 4/5 stars, if you can get it for €200 or less then 5/5 stars but at the time of purchase for me it was €230 after shipping and import duty taxes which is more than I wanted to pay for a board.

But if you've decided on a B550 board (which isn't the only way to go, check out some of the B450 or X570 offerings too, although there might be less availability) There's a wide range to choose from based on each boards individual feature set and performance. For example, this board doesn't come with Wifi, a boot code LED indicator, and it is full ATX size. That fits well for my needs, and I don't see much reason to go for more, but again, it is really determined by your individual situation and preferences. (when it comes to performance, most boards will get the job done, but those looking to overclock should confirm with other sources to see whats best for them. I believe this board has a solid rating in terms of its thermals and power delivery, at least according to the motherboard tier list on the LTT forum).

System Specs: -i9 12900ks -corsair vengeance pro 5600hz -Samsung pro m.2 -EVGA 1080ti ftw3 This board performs well, and is packed with features. The boxing was nice, and installation was a breeze. XMP works great after a bios update, and overclocking is a breeze. Board has a great design with plenty of heat sinks. Would highly recommend this board for your build!! Cons: requires a bios update to avoid buggy boot posts and to be able to use/utilise XMP
I RMA'ed the first board I received because I could not get any post whatsoever. I had tried to update the BIOS using QFlash+, saw it blink and everything, but it never got to the point where the post LED codes started showing up at all. Got the second board - same thing - this led me to believe there was something I was missing. About 100 Reddit posts later and many things tried, someone said it was probably the BIOS. I ended up buying an LGA1200 Celeron processor on the cheap to diagnose. With this processor I was able to boot to bios and see that the flash did not work. I then flashed from BIOS, put the Gen 11 Intel chip in, and was successful in getting everything to work. I bought this with a 5600x and a gskill ripjaws 3600 kit. So far, the features are working and the (sale) price was an excellent value. The bios "easy mode" gets the job done for a user who doesn't care about overclocking. The advanced options are still accessible. POOR QC: the built-in rear backplate sticks out too far from the rear of the motherboard. The backplate pushes against the back of the case and the motherboard screw holes don't align with the case screws. This can be fixed by removing the backplate completely (it is screwed into place); or the mounting bracket can be bent to make the backplate sit closer to the motherboard. minus-two-stars for the poor QC.

DDR5 up to 6600mhz capable, 5 Nvme M.2 slots (note: 1 shared lanes with 2x sata ports, 1 with 2nd pcie x16 slot) CMOS + Bios Q flash buttons on rear IO. Be-bug LED, Mobo on/off switch, Wifi+Bluetooth. Pcie 5.0 ready GPU slot. Plethora of connectors on the IO inc usb-3 type Cs, 10gig Lan. Discrete board RGB (over-bling is not my thing but it's very low key so OK) . Plenty of room for mounting a Noctua CPU air cooler over the monster finned Vram heatsink. This board will take a real punishment for those wanting to seriously overclock with it's crazy 105amp powerstage. Thick alum heat sink plates everywhere for great thermal efficiency. Only thing to note is it's an e-ATX format so slightly wider than an ATX by only 1.5cm but board fixing holes are the same however. Got it in my petite Lian Li Air case so no issues tho. I can wax lyrical about this board while it just quietly does it's thing. Really rather overspeced BUT a seriously great bang for your buck. Now superceded by the Z790 but really it gives so little extra over this Z690 chopped varient your cash is better spent updating something else atm for those chasing fps or productivity heights (GPU, CPU etc). Seriously couldn't be happier for my £400 considering the competition. The cost is soon forgotten while the quality still remains I say !
I bought this motherboard and put it in my H510 flow case and it fits great. I paired it up with a Ryzen 5 5600x 16gb 3600mhz ram which has been OCed to 4000mhz and gtx 1650 super. The graphics card is being upgraded soon but nonetheless this motherboard is great. I has a lot of connectivity, 2.5gps connectivity, hi-fi audio chip, m.2 slot heatsink and other features. The rgb is a bit dim but otherwise works great and is customizable.

Other boards I dealt with makes this function a lot simpler, and easy to customize. In terms of overclocking, I can't comment on that since that is something I do not do. So I have not even got this motherboard working. I have a Ryzen 5600G processor, 32 gb of regulars 3200 g-skill ram, a msi 3070 ti and a MSI nvme drive. All of which is moot, because I can't update the bios to F13 which includes the 5600G CPUs. I can't do a regular qflash in the bios because I can't load the bios, I can't use qflash plus because it seems to fail every time. I got this motherboard in a shuffle and I waited till I could afford a GPU and CPU and ram,. Around Christmas it finally happened. But now the motherboard is basically dead to me. I have been told I need an older CPU to boot with so I can use the regular bios flash tools so my CPU will work. I don't have the money or access to old Ryzen CPUs, I'm just frustrated,.
