Performance:pretty goodMotherboard and CPU is in perfect condition. 1 problem tho, both product was just put inside a big box with no bubble wrap. Motherboard and PC was rattling inside with nothing to protect it. Fortunately everything is okay because delivery wasn't rough. Just reminder that although it's not too expensive, it's not cheap either. Please add bubble wrap or smaller box so item isn't easily shaken

bought 2 months ago, just getting to build now. 2 of the 4 SATA inputs are completely unusable do to them being underneath the GPU card. the inputs are 90degrees sticking up off the board so there is absolutely no clearance for a cord. I've built half a dozen cpus and never seen a board so poorly designed. Also, the board will not boot. Power to everything, but no bios. I don't know if it's as bad gpu socket (gpu works in another computer) or what but complete dud. A waste of my evening

This board is a great value. The system this is going into is ultimately constrained by the overall system cost. I wasn't comparing boards for the perfect fit in this system, rather I was picking components that would work well together with an ultimate cost ceiling. To that end, while shopping I noted the board had RGB, but based on past experience I made assumptions that it would have lighting effects and more color options. Not a deal breaker, just a disappointment. (This system is for a 15 y/o girl, who would delight at that level of customization) I was legitimately disappointed that there is only one header for case fans. It wouldn't have made me choose another board, but I certainly would have ordered a splitter or hub of some sort to compensate. Aside from ... MoreThis board is a great value. Aside from these nitpicks and surprises, the board has an exceptional build quality and aesthetic given it's price point. Despite the difficulty reading headers on the board, installation was very pain free. I would purchase this board for sure, and I would give it 5 eggs if it had even one more fan header. =) One last thing, if you plan on using this as a system to upgrade, for example using the onboard video until a Discreet graphics card can be installed, you MUST choose a CPU that supports it. The board itself has no graphic chip. In my case I used a Ryzen 5 2400G (the G indicates it has the Vega graphics, a thing I learned looking for these components, so if you're looking at this board and plan to use the onboard DVI or HDMI, make sure your CPU pairing actually has a graphics system to it).

I was building another pc for my self and decided to go with this board since it has wifi and 2 pcie 16 slots. After installing a r3 3200g it worked right off the bat... installed windows 11 and booted in ... i saw the ram speed was 2133mhz so i went into the bios and turn on xmp just to get the computer to black screen and boot into safe mode on its own... then i noticed i didnt have wifi but i had blue tooth so i downloaded the drivers from my laptop and i install the drivers from the motherboard website and rebooted again.... still no wifi .... i had sound ... Ethernet... but no wifi i tethered my laptop to my pc and let it update and installed all the software i wanted... after windows restarted 3 times because of the windows update i unplugged my laptop and ... MoreI was building another pc for my self and decided to go with this board since it has wifi and 2 pcie 16 slots. I've used Gigabyte boards since I built my first Athlon XP 1800+ rig in the early 2000s. The only time I didn't use a Gigabyte board in the last 10 years I regretted it. This board has a pretty full-featured BIOS for being such a cheap board. Other than that, it has all the basics, 4 RAM slots so I can add more later, enough SATA ports to get the job done, PCI-E, etc. One oddity I ran into also is that virtualization is disabled by default. I went to spin up a few VMs to make use of my 12 cores and 32GB of RAM and the hypervisor told me virtualization was disabled. It took a while to find this setting in the BIOS. It's on the M.I.T page under Advanced Frequency Settings > Advanced CPU Core Settings > SVM Mode. Enable that setting to enable virtualization. It's on the M.I.T page under Advanced Frequency Settings > Advanced CPU Core Settings > SVM Mode. Enable that setting to enable virtualization. One word of caution. I should have known better, but I blocked half the SATA ports on this board with my Radeon 590. I've used full ATX boards for my last few builds and SATA port location has never been a problem, even with huge video cards. This one, not so much. The Radeon 590 is so big it's basically blocking the regular PCI port too, so I don't know if I can even add a PCI SATA card. Again, this is totally my fault. I knew my card's size and I very easily could have measured and seen the problem. But, I didn't. I probably won't be the only one to make this mistake, so watch out for this.
did an amazing build for somebody with fully custom rgb strips. well, every color but blue now shows up as red at full brightness. those same strips work fine in 3 other computers with drgb headers. sent the motherboard in for rma (which i had to pay shipping for), only for them to take 5 weeks to send it back to me (with no updates whatsoever), only for the problem to still persist. they did not include a service sheet with the motherboard explaining what the problem was and what they fixed (like even ASUS's terrible customer service does). I guess i fall into that category of people that have now experienced gigabyte receiving the product, opening the box, saying "yep! thats a motherboard!", and shipping it back.its a shame that a motherboard that looks this good, ... Moredid an amazing build for somebody with fully custom rgb strips. well, every color but blue now shows up as red at full brightness. those same strips work fine in 3 other computers with drgb headers. sent the motherboard in for rma (which i had to pay shipping for), only for them to take 5 weeks to send it back to me (with no updates whatsoever), only for the problem to still persist. they did not include a service sheet with the motherboard explaining what the problem was and what they fixed (like even ASUS's terrible customer service does). The key question I had that I wish someone would have mentioned anywhere before I purchased was whether it would support Ryzen 3000 series without the need for an older CPU to flash the BIOS. If you're in my same shoes - fear no more and read on! My mobo was likely produced at the end of 2019 (the serial numbers starts with 2019) and it came with the latest firmware installed (F50) which supports Ryzen natively (similar to the MAX series in MSI boards). The telltale is that in the box there is a logo that says "Ryzen 3000 Desktop Ready". Now call me jaded, but the word "ready" is a loaded word, as different manufacturers may use it to represent different things (remember 720i HD "ready" TVs?) I wish AMD was less vague in their marketing guidance to manufacturers. ... MoreThe key question I had that I wish someone would have mentioned anywhere before I purchased was whether it would support Ryzen 3000 series without the need for an older CPU to flash the BIOS. I wish AMD was less vague in their marketing guidance to manufacturers. Why not spell it out? "Supports Ryzen 3000 natively" would leave no room for doubt. In any case, I found out ahead of time (my CPU was still traversing the country) by opening a ticket with Gigabyte eSupport and got my answer within 48 hours and it was a clear and concrete answer - kudos for that! Overall, this is a phenomenal motherboard at less than one and a half Benjamin Franklins. It has a couple minor areas of improvement which due to the aging nature of the platform will likely never be addressed, but they are not even inconveniences. Considering the fairly similar feature-set to B550s or even low end X570s, nothing so far that would warrant lowering the rating. However, keep in mind it's been about a week since I powered it up and I haven't yet done stress testing of any kind. If I find issues, I will update this review. At the moment is running a Crucial M2 1TB and a Radeon 5700XT with nary a complaint. Fits neatly and tightly in a Fractal Design Meshify C case. The Aorus Falcon branding is superb - brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. Aggressive yet tasty at the same time. The best motherboard I've ever had.
