Be careful when buying these - they're not all the same.I bought this because it was recommended as an alternative but it didn't fit my MB because the pin-out is different and so was the chip. I don't blame Scan because their service was great as usual.I should have checked before buying but the PC was difficult to access so I took a chance on it. Turned out I really did need a GC-TPM 2.0 S!All I'm saying is - be careful when buying these because they are far from universal.

This is the 12-pin GC-TPM for Gigabyte motherboards. This was bought to go with a Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Master to provide a TPM for use by BitLocker in Windows 10 Pro.It just plugs in to a header on the motherboard.

I ordered the above items with a view to the forthcoming release of Windows 11. Not only were they a a reasonable price, Scan kept me fully informed of the items's availability. TPMs provide the extra level of security needed to install Windows 11 and ideally they should match the motherboard (same manufacturer). I've sourced a couple of these from from Scan recently and on each occasion, they've been supplied quickly, at a reasonable price and very well packaged... just the job!
I bought this module because the manual for my motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus Master) said that the GC-TPM 2.0 SPI was the correct part.I didn't notice at the time that the motherboard header is 12-pin, but the part in the picture here is 20-pin.The part that arrived is, in fact, 12-pin -- but doesn't fit the header on my board. I'm not sure what this part number does fit, but the picture isn't accurate and it certainly isn't compatible with the Aorus motherboard!
I haven't been able to use this. The motherboard supplied by Scan was faulty. Unfortunately, the replacement was also faulty. I have since bought another motherboard elsewhere and although this works fine, I am unable to use the TPM because it uses a different header.
Used with a Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Pro AX. Installation is basic and recognised on start-up for a trouble free upgrade to Windows 11. Delivered with Scan's usually efficiency and speed. Packed well enough to survive being lobbed over our side gate by the courier.
Did not use . Sent back. Found different way to Finnish project.
I know it’s easy to mess up the are similar. But that’s why I added a comment on my order for specifically the GC-TPM2.0 SPI 2.0, but no I was sent the S instead of the SPI. Attached is a photo of what I received. I submitted a request for a exchange to get the correct one but no answer from customer service.
Delivered on time. Well packed. Seems to work on Windows and Linux. No problem.
