Hurry and grab yours before Nvidia try to push at buying the 'new' 8gb version. Same price, worse performance. This thing on the other hand, for the price, awesome card! Temps havent yet exceeded 75 degrees so plenty of OC overhead or a very long life, take your pick. Can play even unoptimised new games like Darktide on medium settings with raytracing using DLSS! Cyberpunk 2077 runs on raytraced high with a stable 70 fps paired with my i5-12400f.No complaints. Look good, runs good, not crazily priced.

Good performance, Solid card, majority of my graphics cards have been from Gigabyte and not once have they been a let down. So I knew already that I was gona get a good card.Good temps as well, not as noisy as I thought it would be, mind you my case has pretty good airflow. Get around 60c max when gaming, and idle temps are in the low 40s bare in mind that the fans aren't spinning when its in idle... hence temps will be slightly higher than normal, and also with summertime around the corner too....One thing I wish was more user friendly was the Aorous RGB app, pretty basic if you ask me compared to Corsair for example. Nothing to do with GPU but just a slight pesky bite. If you're into RGB that is.Just managing to hit 60 fps on minecraft, we almost there.

As a Blender user I got this because the 3060 has 12 gigs of VRAM, which may not be much of a sales point for gamers but it isdefinitely an advantage when rendering larger scenes in Blender. If your scene larger than 8 gig; on a card with only 8 gigs of VRAM, Blenderhas to reload the scene into VRAM to keep going with the render and so in some cases even a much faster card like say a 3070 with8 gig can actually end up with slower render times if your Blender scene is over 8gig, basically negating the supposed advantage of a faster card.As I'm not yet an expert at fully optimizing my scene for memory size, I'm really happy I went with this card. *Reviewing the card NOT Scorptec
26 April 2023

As it says in the title I’m reviewing the product and not the merchant, Scorptec was great, 5/5As for the card, it works exactly as intended however like most gigabyte cards the fan reving is extremely annoying and even when the fans work as intended they aren’t exactly in sync or at the correct speeds for the temperature, this isn’t an issue with my build as I read forums and posts about gigabyte cards and this is a universal issue. Overall the cards great for the price, since the 1660 super went up in price the 3060 OC is currently the best price to performance card on the market. Also I bought the card when it wasn’t even at its lowest price point so as soon as it goes below $500 AUD, it is a GREAT deal.

Amazing card overall!

Although hard to get, the RTX line of GPU's is very worth it. I think the price of this card is a little too much, but the performance is outstanding (if you get it at MSRP). I basically am maxing out all my game settings at 1080p and can hit at least 60fps. Pushing it to 144hz is a little tougher, but it manages still (at 1080p). 1440p 140hz is definitely gonna make it work, but if you can sacrifice a little quality for performance, it's do-able. Temperatures are great on this card, I'm averaging around high 40's to mid 50's, and it is quiet still! Ray tracing performance will vary, but in Minecraft with 12 render distance and on a survival world, easy 60+ fps. Very pleased!

Great Card!

I cant recommend it enough! I got that card as a replacement of MSI RTX2060 which was still flying in 1080p I have to give it that. but OMG this card is delivering just different experience! For those like me, watching comparison on YT before buy, no video gives a true reflection on how games run smooth now. Maybe it is a matter of 10-15 frames in BF2042 or Red Dead Redemption but I'm playing now on Ultra with all volumetric effects ON not medium to high like on 2060. Plus, Cyberpunk 2077 is just a different game altogether. I started noticing things I didn't see before. So for all who don't want to spend more money than the bare minimum, RTX3060 is just a great upgrade whatever people say! In terms of installation it's just plug and play. Happy with this GPU
23 June 2022

I purchased this GPU a few months ago, when there was still a shortage out there.I realise that the price is higher than it should be. But I have not been disapointed.Best settings for high end games are 1080p and with that you get around 60fps.Cyberpunk 2077 runs at approx 70fps on high settings, at 1080p with ray tracing on performance mode. The 12GB ram isn't going to be fully used for a few years, if ever. But it has made this card future proof in my opinion. My pc rig in total came to £1,600

Honest Review

I've had this card for a full 24 hours now. I've been waiting for Best Buy drops since launch to get my hands on a 6800xt or a 3080, but this little gem was what I got lucky with for now. I'll trade up once the opportunity presents itself. Here's my take.Rock solid 1080p/1440p gaming. I've gone from an XFX RX570 > XFX RX580 > Gigabyte RTX 3060 OC. In this current climate I paid (from best buy) $360 for the 570, $450 for the 580, and $480 for this 3060. From that standpoint It's an outstanding deal for this card considering what people are selling these for online. In a normal world, still overpriced. IMO, this card performs extremely well. I've been throwing all my games at it at 1440p max settings and haven't dipped below 60 fps. (though i know some games ... MoreI've had this card for a full 24 hours now. (though i know some games certainly will) My monitors tap out at 144hz so that's the ceiling I've set for all games.Outside of stress testing (64c tops), it hasn't gone above 59c gaming. Stays super cool (idle at 33c) and since my 580 was a furnace that loved to stay at 79c gaming; my CPU temps have also now dropped 5c during gaming and idle is down to 28c.ONLY complaint: You can get a 3060TI for closer to $400 while this is a full $80 above that and performs worse, I have no cons to complain about. This is a powerhouse. It's the runt of the 30 series family but an outstanding card nonetheless. If you can, buy it. Don't second guess because by the time you do, it's out of stock :)
