Note: The video card has a lite hash rate, so you can only use it for gaming. That means you can't use this Gigabyte video card for crypto mining. Game in 4K resolution with the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8G. This NVIDIA GPU has a high clock speed up to 1725MHz and 5888 CUDA cores. This ensures a smooth and sharp display of your games, if your monitor supports this. The RTX 3070 has 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, which allows you to move 4K images from your GPU to your monitor at a fast pace. If you have a G-Sync monitor, these images are also nicely synchronized. You game with realistic light and shadows, thanks to the second generation ray tracing. Adjust the RGB LED lighting on the video card via the accompanying Gigabyte software.

Card works well enough for the 3070, but not the best.

Exactly why I had Microcenter do the build for me!

I don't want the fuss of building a system myself, especially dealing with minor incompatibility issues. So, I put together a system with their on-line system builder, but had a feeling I had chosen something weird. Good news, actual *humans* call you during the build to sort out issues, work with you to find reasonably priced replacements and offer a callback number. It's pretty close to white-glove service. Build was ready the same day, let me pick it up instead of shipping, and has worked flawlessly since. I'm very happy I went with them instead of another online builder somewhere unknown. Bonus, when I went to pick my build up, I got to check out the store!

So this is my first ever PC build since most of my life I’ve been gaming using laptops from Asus and Lenovo. The card can run anything I throw at it at ultra no sweat. I have a 1080p 240 hz monitor and I’m telling you it’s butter. I’m very happy with this card and also most of my parts were from Best Buy and most of it had discounts so the build was still pretty much budget friendly. Also, Aorus has a software that allows for OC-ing the GPU and you might want to check that out too!

Good for the MSRP, questionable current price
21 February 2021

As many of you may know, the current RTX 30XX series from Nvidia (and AMD's RX 68XX series) are hard to come by, and as a result, they are priced higher than suggested MSRP.I was able to get this card for $100 higher than the intended MSRP. I purchased the card for $599 (before tax), while the MSRP for the RTX 3070 is $500.In my opinion, this particular card is worth the extra $100, because I needed an upfrade. It is quiet in my case, even when under 100% utilization. If I play the current Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on the highest graphics settings, I get stable framerates (100+ in 1080p). My graphics card may become warm, because it's running at full utilization all the time, but it does not get so loud that I can't hear it outside my case.I can't comment ... MoreAs many of you may know, the current RTX 30XX series from Nvidia (and AMD's RX 68XX series) are hard to come by, and as a result, they are priced higher than suggested MSRP.I was able to get this card for $100 higher than the intended MSRP. Ny last video card could not keep up with the games I was playing at 1080p, so I needed a new card that is more powerful. If you don't NEED a card now, don't spend $599 on this particular Gigabyte card.

Great card
25 October 2022

Good 3070, overclocks well and stays relatively cool provided you give it an aggressive fan curve when ocing. The fan noise isn’t silent but its not offensive either at full bore. And usually it stays completely silent on light workloads. Coil whine is present but unless you stick your head in the case you can’t hear it. Great build quality too, especially the metal backplate.

Great card but at high price
30 June 2021

Card was purchased from winning the newegg shuffle. It's all luck folks, it is possible for you all to get picked. Card was bundled with 2k 240 hz monitor and whole purchase was roughly 1600 bucks. This card is a beast, best price to performance of the 3000 cards. I upgraded from a 1070 and it was quite a leap. Powers through everything at 2k at reasonable framerates. Plenty high enough to stay above 144 fps in most cases. There are a few games where the performance leaves a little to be desires but it is due to poor optimization (ghost recon wildlands I'm looking at you). This card is great because it's smaller than basically every other competitors card other the the founders edition. It's smaller height wise than my 1070 from MSI which is saying something. Temps are slightly higher because the heatsink is smaller but it hasn't gotten above 70C at full load and raytracing at high in metro exodus. Cooling is adequate. Card can be louder since fans ramp up quickly to 70% of speed, but I'd rather have a little noise that is getting drowned out by my headphones than a card that melts lol. Overall great buy. Keep trying the shuffle and best buy drops. I tried the shuffle every opportunity for about 2 months before I got picked. Even tried best buy drops too which are just as frustrating. Its definitely not worth the 800 bucks I payed for it, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I was planing on the 2080 or 3060 for my build upgrade Those would have satisfied my needs for a time, I think. ... A couple trusted people I know told me to go with the 3070. Little more coast than i planed on. I found this on line bundle deal from MicroCenter. The combo price was attractive. So I drove 90 minutes to the store. Great cooperative service/communication between me and the employee. So I get home with it and the rest of the purchase. This card is a big heavy card. It has no flashy RGB stuff, which I like. Durring 3DMark benchmark testing I can keep my fingers on it AND it's quiet. My old system, which is still running, has a GTX 970. I've run the same benchmarks on both systems. The results shows a 3 times improvement in performance with the 3070 OC. Granted the new systems has a Ryzen 9 7600 x VS a i5 4690K in the old.Based on my 1.5 month experience with this product, I will recommend it. Now keep in mind. All makers of anything do have a few that fail early. You could get one of those. Purchase that extended warranty. I did. My card may never fail. But if it does fail within the factory warranty plus the extension, it is covered.

Plays anything and everything, makes a lil sound
16 May 2022

This card is powerful!! I can throw pretty much any game at it, maxed out, at full 1440p 144hz. It's awesome. It honestly doesn't get that loud eitherOnly gripe is that a few months after I got it, it started making a weird sound occasionally when idling. After watching it for a while I saw that at idle, the fans would stop spinning completely, but just for a few seconds, and when they spun back up they would make a little vibratey sound for a fraction of a second. Just like a tiny snort sound. Or kind of similar to a hard drive i guess? i dunno. Happens every 20 seconds or so unless I'm doing something demanding enough to keep the fans spinning constantly.I'm a noise freak so the little sound is pretty annoying to me. But overall this thing crushes games so hey ... MoreThis card is powerful!! I can throw pretty much any game at it, maxed out, at full 1440p 144hz. It's awesome. Review of Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC 8G (rev. 2.0) NVIDIA 8 GB GDDR6
17 August 2022

It works ok, it's big (but then it is triple fan) but the fans do hum/whine a bit under load, rather than just making a usual ' fans going at full speed' noise.I've got a 650W PSU and that's the recommended minimum. Did a quick stress test and the GPU power peaked at 103%, So even though it's an OC, 650W was ok. I will upgrade the PSU in the future though, just to be safe

Sufficient performance for a reasonably acceptable price
26 August 2022

Definitely recommended for those switching from the GTX series. Also for RTX 2000 series users the switch is definitely worth it, except for the 2080 Ti which is about the same in terms of performance.I've tested it in various games, it's very good and doesn't let it get too loud. You can hear them a little. OC mode and silent mode are included but give almost nothing to FPS you can leave it in silent mode because in OC mode the power consumption increases by 50 watts.
