The 4070 Ti is amazing in every way except the price. If this was cheaper, I would recommend it without hesitation. Great power efficiency and powerful enough to run most games at 4K. I only bought this because I had already bought the rest of my parts in anticipation of the 4000 series or AMD 7000 series, expecting at least the 4070 Ti would be good value. But instead, it is close to the same price to performance as the 3070, when each graphics card generation is meant to improve this metric to increase sales.

I had been using the Nvidia geforce rtx 2080 super along with an AMD Ryzen 9 3950x cpu for the last 3 years. When I upgraded to the Gigabyte rtx 4070ti I expected a little more of a performance increase especially since it is a much more powerful GPU and a better match to the capabilities of my CPU. Unfortunately that increase was a little less than I expected. It is stable, quiet, good performance.

I needed a new GPU because my son's started artifacting pretty bad. So i decided to give myself an upgrade from my 2070 Super and give him my old card. I do enjoy being able to max out settings and run Assetto Corsa in full maxed out settings with tons of mods in VR on my oculus at 90hz. I'm a 1080p high refresh rate gamer and this card pushes my 280hz monitor to it's max on every eSports title at maxed out settings. That being said it's a real shame that Nvidia has decided to become the scalper themselves and push the 70 series cards up to 800$ when in the past we would get them for 600$ even with inflation the price of this card really hurts. If I didn't have to replace my son's card I wouldn't have bought this card at it's current price. If you need a good card ... MoreI needed a new GPU because my son's started artifacting pretty bad. Great card but stull overpriced. Mows through anything at 1440p at max settings. With DLSS 3, able to get 96 FPS on Cyberpunk benchmark on highest setting (AMD 5900x, 32 GB RAM). I imagine 4k does well with DLSS optimized games also but due to the 192 bit mem bus you will struggle on non optimized games at that resolution at high fidelity which is a shame. Card stays very cool as well under high load. Gigabyte software is acceptable but mostly just ok.
The card fits just okay with my chassis and works well with my 850-watt power supply. In terms of performance, it handles my Blender Scenes quite well and does run the Unreal Engine nicely; what would take my CPU twenty minutes to render a 10-second, 720 DPI video in Blender now takes about 2 minutes.Overall, if you're looking to get your first GPU as I've had a while after building my computer, I'd go with this one off the bat. So long as you have a chassis of at least 305mm in length or over, this one is of great value.
This card is very large. I bought it to replace my aging RTX2060 and I needed to tidy up the cables, which were pretty tidy already, to make space for the RTX 4070Ti. It's a little bit overkill for my set up because my projector accepts 4K input but is only Full HD, however it can run 1080p (Full HD) at 120 frames per second so that factored into my consideration for plumping for this.I picked this up at £799 which is the cheapest I've seen the card available and there were indications that the RTX 4070 might retail for a similar price, but given the £200 price difference, it looks like that should have been the card I got. However, my set up is good for quite a while now.I have bought Gigabyte products before and I am very satisfied with their customer service. ... MoreThis card is very large. However, my set up is good for quite a while now.I have bought Gigabyte products before and I am very satisfied with their customer service. I moved from London to Seoul years ago and my still-under-warranty graphics card (GTX 560) developed a fault and their office in Korea sent a member of staff over to my home to exchange it for a refurbished one.I have been using the card for about two weeks now and am very satisfied with its performance so far.
Pros: Overall, super happy with this card. I do want to use DLSS 3 and ray tracing.I got lucky with my card and it has zero coil whine. The 40 series are so much cooler and are more power efficient. I have even power limited my card down to 83% for only a 3% performance loss, and I have reduced the card’s temps even further.Cons: Pricing, it is what it is. I do not seen prices going down further until the release of the 50 series.
So first things first, I went from a 970, to a 4070. I knew that what I would see would be *significantly* better than what I had before, but I wasn’t prepared. New games like Sons of the Forest, Hogwarts Legacy, look incredible. Valheim is *chefs kiss* BEAUTIFUL! I definitely was not prepared for how great the quality was going to be. It does require two 8 pin power connectors, and my power supply was a bit out of date, so I did have to upgrade that as well, but it’s been worth it. The card itself is worth every penny. I know I can hang on to this for a while, and won’t need to upgrade anytime in the next few years. Probably even decade. I highly highly recommend this!

My baseline GPU Hot Spot Temp is 42 degrees C. The RGB lighting on this card is minimal which works for me as my case fans have plenty of RGB lighting. The 12GB VRAM being handles ANYTHING 1440p can throw at it. I don't have a 4k display that I game on so I haven't tried running 4k natively however with DLSS 3.0 on the 4070ti the 4k upscaling should run Ultra settings +60 frames on any game easily. Previous cards I've used are 1070 and 3060ti and they are good options for high settings 1080p and low settings 1440p.TestsRunning tests on a common benchmark website users post their results on: My Gigabyte NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti Eagle OC 12GB GDDRX scored a 232% with the range for all 4070ti cards being 209% up to 258%. My 323% score was on par with what I anticipated since this was one of the lower cost 4070tis on the market. However overall the 232% is outstanding.PriceI bought this card on launch day 1/5/23 for $849.99 + a 10% discount using a coupon code given to Best Buy card members bringing my product price to $764.66. At 1440p this card performs very well and I have no negative comments because if I needed a better 4k option I would've purchased the 4080 instead.
Insanely powerful. Able to play AOE4 on ultra settings and it’s smooth as butter.I installed into a 5 year old PC with an i7-7700 and replaced my old gpu which was a gtx 1060 3gb so of course the difference is insane. It seems my older i7 processor didn’t slow it down or bottleneck it much if at all. Also upgraded my memory to 64gb and power supply to 1000.Geek squad installed it and i dropped it off Thursday night and it was ready the next day.I am so thrilled to be able to play my games on ultra/max settings and no lag. This is worth every penny.
